In the vicinity of the medieval centre of San Gimignano, nestled in the rolling hills of the gorgeous Tuscan countryside, Agriturismo Niccolai is perfectly located for exploring Tuscany’s most prized art towns such as Siena (30Km), Florence (35Km), and Volterra (25Km). This farmhouse is part of Azienda Agricola Palagetto, a local concern which produces exclusive wines and fine extra-virgin olive oil, whilst offering high standard holiday accommodation in 6 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, 5 of them in the lovely farmhouse Palagetto di sotto, and one of them in the exclusive independent Suite. The farmhouse Palagetto di sotto & the Suite are built on the hill side 800m from the medieval town of San Gimignano and its famous towers, surrounded by its own vineyards and olive groves, and immersed in the large and immaculate garden of the tiny rural hamlet of Villa Palagetto, a group of ancient buildings, originally farmers’ adobes. Today they have been carefully restored and divided into comfortable holiday rooms for those seeking for a relaxing holiday in a peaceful and relaxing haven, enjoying genuine local food and excellent wines.

We and two other couples stayed for five glorious days in October of 2011. The room could not have been more comfortable or clean. Service was beyond excellent...it was friendly! The food was delicious, both breakfast and dinner. The wine that we drank was wonderful and poured generously. From every vantage point-the scenery, the people, the wine, and the food, we could not have had a more enjoyable stay. We hope to be able to return one day!

We stay at Palagetto di Sotto at the end of last monthe. All was fantastic, from the girls at the check-in, breakfast, dinner... what good wines ! and the place: wonderful. We want to say "thank you" to all people that work there for our fabtastic stay !

Dear all, we had a wonderful time at Palagetto di sotto. We liked it so much that we will return asap. Delicious breakfast and diner! The swimming pool is enormous and the surroundings are gorgeous. In addition the location is perfect to make daily trips to Florence, Siena, Volterra, Pienza and so on. We recommend to stay at Agriturismo Niccolai! It is such a nice place to vacation. Mattias

This is really a fantastic place to stay. Wonderful authentic building, very nice and comfortable rooms, breakfast and food are marvellous! And I am not talking about their wines which were a real revelation.
