Unique in its style, inspired to the Italian design and by the espresso coffee pot (the "moka" in Italian), mok’house offers you all the charming and magical atmosphere of a hidden and genuine Rome. More than just a location, mok'house is a "concept of hospitality": you will feel our sense of hospitality from our very first e-mail to the last tip to get the best gelato or pizza in town. We are located inside a typical building of the XIX century (owned), in the heart of the most ancient neighborhood of Rome (Rione Monti), just a few minutes walk from the Coliseum. All tourist attractions are within walking distance. The metro (A line to the Vatican) is only 2 blocks away). Our B&B (2 bedrooms with private bathroom) is at the 4th floor of our building (no elevator, but short steps and we’ll take care of your luggage) and offers spacious rooms with a lovely private balcony where you will enjooy a romantic view over the roofs of ancient Rome. The entrance is independent from the owner (Marco) side of the apartment. We stayed in the Vespa Room. It has tasteful modern decoration, a comfortable double bed, balcony and private bathroom. The location is ideal, with short walking distances to the Coliseum, the underground and city tour bus stop. Breakfast is served at a stylish cafe lounge just around the corner. There was a huge selection of pastries and the coffee is to die for. The customer service at Mok'house is to be commended, especially when compared to the typical standard you get in big cities. They were a great help in advising on restaurants that are not rip-off tourist traps but places they eat with their families. We plan to visit Tuscany and will book with Mok'house there too.

Spent 4nts. in this charming B&B with my husband and we loved! The location is ideal for exploring and there is much within walking distance (the Santa Maria Maggiore church, San Giovani, the Colosseum). The Monti neighborhood is very charming. Marco and Andrea are just a delight. Very friendly guys who will do just about anything to help you out. Thanks a lot, we'll be back!

I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner... The staff are friendly, the decor and attention to detail is amazing and the location is perfect. We stayed in the 500 room which is big, en suite, has a balcony and flatscreen. Very close to the train station, bus & Metro so easy to access everywhere in Rome. I/ we will def be back and I can recommend this to anyone for their trip to Rome (Roma)

From Central Train Station (Termini) to mok’house - (500meters / 0,25miles) Walking (5mins): Exit the Station from Via Giolitti side (with the train behind you: go to your left to exit the Station). Once outside, go to your left and the first street on your right is Via Gioberti: take that! Walk through via Gioberti (300m) and you will reach Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore (you will definitely see the Basilica). Take the second left, Via Merulana just for 50m. Then, the second street on your right is Via San Martino ai Monti. Just walk down to the No.38 (on your left side): we are there waiting for you!
