Comfort Rome Vaticano B&B

Went with my girlfriend and her parents. We had a wonderful surprise, it was very beyond our expectations. It was a really cozy and clean place. It's a B&B with a structure of a great hotel and the comfort of a family home. Very close to the metro station. And the owner Paolo is great, very helpful and friendly.

We were at Comfort Rome Vaticano B&B during five days and we can say that is better than we thought before going. We recomend it to everybody.

Comfort Rome Vaticano 2 was a memorable experience for us. It was our first time to travel to Rome. The apartment was furnished with taste. The location was the best asset as it is a 2 minute walk to the Vatican. Mr Paolo our host was very accommodating, warm and friendly. He made us feel right at home and helped us with some of our sight seeing and itinerary.

My new husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and Paolo was absolutely a wonderful host. We had the place to ourself for the two nights we were there and it was so peaceful. Paolo was reliable and ready for us when we arrived and got us a great driver to the airport. The place was spotless, the room was spacious, the bed was nice, the shower was wonderful and the location is right by a subway stop. Thanks so much for everything Paolo! Kate and Branson

The B&B of Paolo is very well situated. The bus station is located just opposite the building. The bus takes you directly to the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. The B&B itself is very clean, the rooms are very nice (there are 2 of them), each has its own bathroom which is spotlessly clean as well. The breakfast is typically italian: Nespresso, croissant, biscotti, butter, jam, honey. In the breakfast room there is a toaster and a water boiler as well. The fridge is filled with water, juice and butter and you can put your things inside as well. In the B&B you can find information about the city (maps,...) and Paolo is very helpful as well. I can really recommend the B&B to anyone who wants to experience the italian way of life. Just around the corner you can find a small "negozio alimentari" where you can buy bread, cheese, ham or fruits. Good value for money!

My wife and I stayed four days in Comfort Rome Vaticano, and found it to be the ideal place to stay in Rome. The location is central, near the Vatican. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very modern. Paulo was there daily and was unusually accommodating in making us comfortable and giving helpful advice on our visit. There was wireless internet connection, and Paolo served a fine continental breakfast. The room rate was surprisingly reasonable. We highly recomment this accommodation.

We had the pleasure of staying at Comfort Rome Vaticano in March. What a convenient location for sightseeing! Paolo was the perfect host and made our stay in the immaculately clean and well-appointed B&B a delight. The two lovely bedrooms and two bathrooms were just right for our family of four. We recommend Comfort Rome Vaticano to all who ask and hope we will return someday.

The B&B was spotless, nicely appointed, and convient to walk to the Vatican. It also had easy access to public transport. Paolo was a terrific host: knowledgeable about the city, helpful about logistics(he warned us about a pending strike), and a pleasant, friendly host. There were restaurant and a gelataria across the street and a great patio with a privacy bamboo fence where we had pizza one night. I would recommend this vacation accomadation to everyone!

Our small party had both rooms and we were all very pleased with the accommodation which was spotless and very comfortable. Paolo made us very welcome and nothing was a problem. Very close to the metro and bus which made the apartment convenient for the city without being in the thick of things.

Stayed with Paolo 09/04/2010 for 4 nights, 2 adults in our fifties. Paolo offers a very efficient B&B kindly arranging a private transfer from the airport for us, which was great after a long flight. He also welcomed us very early in the morning before check in times and ensured we had a good breakfast. Paolo arrived every morning to organise breakfast and check our plans for the day making sure we knew which transport to take or the best route on foot, he also advised best times for the attractions and was always spot on. The B&B is within walking distance of the Vatican, and if a good walker can walk into Rome itself, the metro is very good and easy to use, just down the street and the bus if you prefer is across the road on the next corner. The cake shop across the street is well worth a visit and a gorgeous gourmet food and wine shop is very close. A great restaurant on the walk to the Vatican called San Giovanni we visited twice, beautiful pasta and fabulous red house wine, the staff are very kind and generous. The B&B is good value for money and offers those who do not wish to be continuosly caught up in the tourist areas of Rome, a more local place to stay.

The owner, Paolo, is wonderful. His directions for taking the metro to the Comfort Rome Vaticano B & B were exact and we were able to find the B & B with no problem. That the Metro is only a 5 minute walk from the B & B is a plus especially since the B & B is not situated near any major tourist attractions. Paolo met us armed with maps of Rome and suggestions for buses as well as the Metro. He can answer in excellent English any question one has about Rome. Our room was not luxurious but was spotless as was the private bath across the hall. I had an early flight out of Rome and asked Paolo to arrange a taxi for me. I am always concerned that taxis show up on time: the person Paolo contacted for me was actually a few minutes ahead of schedule making my morning non-stressful. The one area in which I was a little disappointed was in the breakfast. The three other B & B's in which I stayed in Italy had fresh bagels for breakfast and excellent cappucino but the Comfort Rome Vaticano had packaged bagels and expresso but no cappucino. That said, price of the Comfort Rome B & B is so good that a non-gourmet breakfast is hardly worth mentioning.

My husband and I stayed at Comfort Rome Vaticana for about a week in mid April. This probably was one of the best stays we have had in Europe. Normally, one thing stands out as either great or disastrous when evaluating a place one stays in. In the case of Comfort Rome Vaticana, several things stand out as great. First of all, its location – the place is in a residential area with the nearest Metro-A station just about 100 meters away and the bus stop just about 20 meters from the B&B. There are some quaint little eating places within walking distance. The place itself has two bedrooms. We stayed in the one with attached bath. The place is kept very clean and is very quiet, except for the occasional traffic noise from outside. Paolo (the owner) has installed shutters on the large window to keep the noise level low and manageable. The most important thing that stands out is the friendliness of Paolo. He was there every morning fixing breakfast for all his guests. The dining room is also cozy and comfortable. The coffee he made for us every morning is something that both my husband and I sorely miss now. He was always ready with useful tips and suggestions when you had queries – whether about the Vatican City, day trip to Tivoli or about the neat parks near this B&B. We highly recommend this place.

We highly recommend this place for its location, cleanliness, and most importantly the owner's (Paolo) attitude towards his guests. Paolo, being educated in US, is fluent in English and US culture. He was unusually helpful and understanding when we got stranded in Rome due to the outcome of the volcanic eruption in Island, causing a very chaotic situation for travelers trying to get back home. The apartment is located in a quiet, residential, and desirable area with close proximity to all the key attractions in Rome. Also, great value for the money. We look forward staying there again!

Wir verbrachten 4 Nächte im comfort rome und waren begeistert. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön und sauber. Paolo serviert ausgezeichneten Espresso und kümmert sich sehr um seine Gäste. Die Lage ist zentral, aber der Straßenlärm hält sich in Grenzen. Klein aber fein!!!

My husband and I just returned from 6 days in Rome (December 2009) and stayed at the Comfort Rome Vaticano B&B. This is an excellent place to stay. The rooms are lovely and clean. Paolo, the owner, is very helpful and kind. The rooms are just down the street from the Metro A Line which will take you anywhere in Rome. I highly recommend this B&B.

We stayed here for 5 nights in total in December 2009. Fantastic B&B - Paolo was brilliant and the place really felt like a home rather than just an impersonal hotel/B&B. Can't recommend this one enough.

We found this bed and breakfast on your web site. It is just as advertised and is wonderful. The owner, Paolo, was very helpful and so informative. He provided us with maps and answered our many questions and gave us many tips in seeing the wonderful city of Rome!!! He came each morning to prepared our breakfast which was good. My spouse and I and another couple had the whole apartment which had a kitchen, a sitting room and an outside patio which we really enjoyed. We each had our bedroom and own bathroom. It is close to a variety of restaurants and pastry shops. It is a fun area to explore and was very safe. It is 1 1/2 blocks to the subway (metro) and 1/2 block from the bus stop. We would highly recommend this for you stay in Rome!!!

We recently stayed at this bed and breakfast at the end of Sept/Oct. We were very pleased with our room. The apartment was renovated and very clean. It is very close to the bus station and metro even though it's not directly in the city. Paolo was so nice to help us get around and served us breakfast every morning! Great place for a great price!

We had a very nice room with a private bathroom. Everything was very clean. But most of all, the owner, Paolo, is the best. Always there to help you or advise you. The breakfast was pleasant : it was the perfect moment to exchange ... The B&b is well located, near the metro (15-20 min to downtown) and 20-30 walk to the vatican entry.

We recently returned from our first visit to Italy. Upon arrival in Rome, we spent two nights at Comfort Rome Vaticano B&B...a wonderful bed and breakfast centrally located in the heart of Rome. I had contacted Paolo in the early spring, and confirmed our stay for August. We kept in touch off and on throughout the months til we began our vacation in August. Paulo couldn't have been more helpful. He arranged for someone to pick us and our friends up at the FCO airport and to take us back when our stay was completed. He had advised me as to weather conditions, tours, sightseeing, etc. When we arrived, it was like meeting an old friend. Our accommodations were wonderful...and because there were 4 of us, we had the entire B&B apartment. Paolo would come in the morning and fix our breakfast. We would then have time to ask him questions about our days' activities. He was very knowledgeable and helped us make the most of our time. Should we ever get back to Rome, we will most certainly contact Paolo, and hopefully have our old room back!

Comfort Rome Vaticano is a nice, clean, confortable place to stay in Rome. Rooms are perfect and impeccably clean. Breakfast is good and plenty. The location is well served by public transports and is very convenient for discovering Rome. But what makes it even more special are its owners, Paolo and Simona are friendly and willing to help you as much as they can. Definitely a place to recommend.

This was our very first stay in Rome and it could not have been better, made by the fact we had such a fabulous host and a lovely, emaculate place to stay. I would recommend this above a hotel any day in terms of personal service, the appartment is also is a great location being only a minute or so away from both the bus stop and the Metro which will take you anywhere you want to go in Rome centre (if you don't want to walk that is). We will certainly be going back !!!

We had an excellent experience with Comfort Rome Vaticano B&B. Paolo greeted us enthusiastically & offered us breakfast even though we were not scheduled to check in until later in the day. There are only 2 rooms in the B&B & consequently, Paolo gives very personalized service. He very graciously scheduled transportation for us & for our friends who were staying in another B&B down the street and he provided us with excellent information for navigating around the city. The location was perfect--very near the bus stop & Metro stations. Thank you for giving us a great beginning to our vacation in Roma, Paolo!

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel close to the centre of Rome but could not find one. I looked at a number of B&B's but was grabbed by the photos of this place. Added to that the price seemed very reasonable indeed. On arrival we were definitely not disapointed, it was very clean, very tidy, very modern, very fresh, and we recieved a very friendly welcome from Paolo. All in all a beautiful place. The accomodation is a two bed room apartment with kitchen & dining room. Added to the fact that the website did not mention that our room had an en-suite, (the other room had its own bathroom too!), we were therefore, even more pleasently surprised. Located only 100m from the tube, and no more than 20 minutes on the tube from most of the attractions. If you want to use a bus into town it is only 20m to the bus stop, and again approximately 20 minutes to the centre. Great place, great location, great price, great people - Thank you Paolo - see you again soon!!

The hosts Paolo and his wife are very friendly, speak very good English, are very open and eager to talk to you about their beautiful city. What comes across is that they are very honest and manage everything in a very professional way. Those qualities bundled together are hard to come by in the south of Europe (and in many parts of world). In fact this young couple appears to be doing this B&B more as a hobby and this shows in their very fair prices and friendly ways. Before coming to Rome, we were wondering if we should not rent bicycles to tour the city. Paolo’s wife email mentioned a place nearby but also said that traffic in the city was chaotic at times also that it was far from flat. It was very good advice. We ended up walking around, strolling down beautiful streets. Bus stop for line 46 or 49 is across the street (day pass 4€), you can see it from the ground floor of the B&B. The Vatican is 5-10mn away by bus, the central part of the city with all the key sightseeing monuments is another 10 min. Paolo was great in giving us a map of the city and in his advice as to when was the best time to avoid the crowds. The 2 rooms are very clean and have a lot of charm; much more charm than most hotel rooms you come across. The apartment has air conditioning which is great when it gets really hot outside. It is a great place to go with 2 couples each having their own room and bathroom, but sharing the breakfast. Paolo serves you during the breakfast, with fresh toasts, fresh milk (very tasty not the usual hotel milk which is typically UHT quality), and excellent coffee. The only thing to be aware is that being in a big city, you get the noise of a big city. A hospital is nearby so at times you do hear the ambulance. But since we came back to our B&B quite tied after a full day of walking in the city, this was less of an issue: we went to bed eagerly to catch some sleep. Our friends had ear plugs and slept like babies. All in all very good value for money.

My sister and I stayed at this very cozy apartment for around four days and we had a great. Unlike staying in a hotel, we felt like we were true locals. Location was very convenient as it is close to the Metro and bus stops. Paolo, the host, was very friendly and informative.

We stayed in this lovely B&B for four nights. It is spacious, very clean and has an outside terrace. Paolo, the host, is very friendly and helpfull in many ways. The metro is just down the street and the bus to the centre stops in front. We were with four people and had the whole B&B to ourselves, it was just perfect and for a very good price as well. So, if you want a clean, comfortable and spacious place to stay, near the centre of Rome, this is the place to be.

We spent 4 nights in this beautiful, spacious and clean b&b. It is conveniently located within 8 min walk from the subway station. Paolo is very helpful in answering any questions. Will stay there if we visit Rome again.

The Comfort Rome Vaticano B&B is a small apartment located just outside of the center of Rome, about 2km east of the Vatican. It has two guest rooms, each with a private bathroom (one bathroom is in the room, the other is not). There is a kitchen, but it is requested that guests do not use it to prepare their own meals. The apartment is newly renovated and immaculately clean. This is an excellent place to stay for those who don't need (or want) to stay in the crowded, touristy areas of the center of Rome. Being that it is an apartment in the local community, it provides a sense of being at home, as opposed to being in a hotel. It is close enough to the center of Rome that you can get there easily (car/taxi - 5 mins, bike - 15 mins, walking - 30 mins), but far enough away that you're not in the middle of the tourist masses. We stayed there for a week, and it was absolutely ideal for us. We brought our touring bicycles with us, so we had convenient transportation to the center, and the B&B has a small garage in which we stored our bikes. We were there in the off season, and had the place to ourselves for most of the week. The owners are simply fantastic. They live in a separate apartment not far away, and arrive every morning to cook breakfast and tidy up the apartment. They are very friendly and helpful, and speak English (and French, apparently) quite well. Paulo was kind enough to send us a cycling map of Rome before we arrived, and called the train stations for us when we had a question about taking our bikes on the trains. I can't thank them enough for their hospitality. They made our stay a wonderful experience.

Our family stayed at the Comfort Rome Vaticano B&B in late September, 2008. Paulo and Simona were very gracious hosts. Paolo's willingness to provide advice about Rome, made our visit to see the sites of this grand city much easier. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It is conveniently located near the metro and bus stops. Restaurants, wine shops, and grocery stores are located within a short walk. All in all, it is a great place to stay while in Rome.
