The house is located at a distance of one minute walk from the railroad-metropolitan station Ottavia, and it is quiet because is protected from the street noise with a brick wall. There is an open water pool for guests. The food was much better than I had at other B&B places, it included a big variety of ripe fruits -it was November; the guests are allowed to use the kitchen with a gas stove, many pans, dishes, spices, cooking oil. The hosts were very friendly, were always ready to help, even they made phone calls because I do not speak Italian. They even allowed to use their computer to check and send E-mail. Later I discovered that across the street from their house you can use Internet, telephone and even Skype at a very low price of less than a euro for half an hour - the cheapest service that I found in Rome, and I did not find Skype available at other places.

Very familiar, friendly and nice place with a little pool to cool down after city tour in Rome

Villa Rome is a very nice palazzo north of Rome easily reachable by train and night bus. The rooms are individually nicely arranged and clean. The owners Isabella and Paolo are very friendly and helpful in every situation in terms of maps, intersting places to visit, breakfast, keeping the suitcases when you catch the night train and want to see Rome another time before you leave at night. We always enjoy our stay very much and feel as a part of their family. Every year we come back!

My wife and another couple spent three nights at Villa Roma and were so thrilled with the experience we have sent two other couples there since our visit.

My husband and I took my parents to Italy for the first time and for any trip to Italy, Rome is a necessity. We wanted somewhere within Rome itself, but outside of the touristy bustle so we could experience true Roman culture. We chose to stay at Villa Rome B&B. Villa Rome B&B is just outside of Rome itself (only a 20 minute train ride will get you within the major tourist sites). Our rooms were clean and with ample room for the two of us. We had keys so we could come and go as we pleased without disturbing anyone and they were always available if we needed them, but kept out of our way when we needed solitude. There was always a large spread of Italian favorites at breakfast (juice, coffee, pastries, nutella...) and Isabella and Paolo went out of the way to bring fresh pastries in from the local bakery in the morning as well as to have fresh fruit from their garden on the table. They were always full of suggestions on where to go for dinner, and should we have needed to ask, they would have been open to suggestions for things to see as well. One day we fell victim to a transportation strike, and the owners even picked us up from downtown Rome and when we didn't know where to go to eat, took us to their own restaurant where we ate the most delicious food. We had a wonderful time, and I am grateful to them for showing my parents a wonderful first trip to Europe as well.
