Me and my kids had a wonderful stay in Rome and Villa Rome was a big part of the experience. The couple running the place were very friendly. I will not tell you how friendly because I think it is better to surprised. You start and end the day in the common room where breakfast is provided and Wifi with good speed is available. Very important if you are traveling with kids. As they say in the description it is very close to the train station and it will take you all the way in to the Vatican state or very close to Colleseum. I used the pick-up service since I arrived quite late and it worked very smoothly. The drove us to the airport on the way home also. Unfortunately the kids ( or me ) forgot there jackets in the Villa but the owners where very helpful and drove back and picked them up. I truly recommend the place and watch out for pleasant surprises.

The madam, the owner, warmly welcomed us. The room we stayed was elegant and romantic. We could feel free to use the dining - kitchen room and enjoyed cooking with other travelers. The beautiful garden was seen from the dining room, so the time for breakfast was special. We were always looking forward to back to the hotel every day, while we went out and did sightseeing in Rome. Because of this madam and this hotel, we enjoyed the time in Italy!

Isabella and Paolo were just simply great hosts! They really go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and pleasent. Initially i was five hours delayed in the uk and this didn't phase Paolo's committment to come pick me up from the airport at 4am. Everything was made ready for me so i could just head straight to bed and recover. The house is lovely, perfectly setup for a b&b but you have your own private entrance and with no corridors with other guest walking past your room at night. I was there as a working / private holiday so i needed constant access to wifi. No problems at all, with no interuptions. I believe they also have a booster, which few places i've stayed have. Only 3 minutes walk from the train station and its perfect to head into Rome within 15 minutes. Trains are regular and typically on time. I ended up missing the last train one sunday and it cost me 20 euros from the center of Rome back to the house. Really cheap if you consider other cmajor cities in the world. A supermarket is close by that provides you wll meet all your needs, just walk through the station and its on the left. The hosts were happy for me to use the kitchen at any time. My original plans were changed but Isabella and Paolo looked after me, allowing me to stay on a while longer until the end of my trip. Small garden area is really well kept and allows you to be in a city but have down time and sun yourseleve as you require. Breakfast is great, help yourself between 7 - 11am. No pressure to get up early when you are on holiday. Overall a great experience, and i would highly recommend staying here.

Hello! I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed staying at Villa Rome! It is so conveniently located. Just a few steps away from the Train Station, Market, Restaurants. The accommodations were wonderful. So comfortable and friendly. The breakfast room was made to feel like home. There was an abundance of food ready in the morning and we were able to use the kitchen to cook eggs, bacon (which was provided in the refrigerator) and at night we went across the street to the Market and bought what we needed to make our dinner. Just like home! And we met a friend for life at breakfast,Carol. Since she was alone, we invited her to see the sights with us. We still communicate and we will continue our friendship. We will definitely stay there on our next trip. It was like home!! Thank you for your hospitality!!!

Grazie

The house is located at a distance of one minute walk from the railroad-metropolitan station Ottavia, and it is quiet because is protected from the street noise with a brick wall. There is an open water pool for guests. The food was much better than I had at other B&B places, it included a big variety of ripe fruits -it was November; the guests are allowed to use the kitchen with a gas stove, many pans, dishes, spices, cooking oil. The hosts were very friendly, were always ready to help, even they made phone calls because I do not speak Italian. They even allowed to use their computer to check and send E-mail. Later I discovered that across the street from their house you can use Internet, telephone and even Skype at a very low price of less than a euro for half an hour - the cheapest service that I found in Rome, and I did not find Skype available at other places.

Villa Rome is a very nice palazzo north of Rome easily reachable by train and night bus. The rooms are individually nicely arranged and clean. The owners Isabella and Paolo are very friendly and helpful in every situation in terms of maps, intersting places to visit, breakfast, keeping the suitcases when you catch the night train and want to see Rome another time before you leave at night. We always enjoy our stay very much and feel as a part of their family. Every year we come back!

My husband and I took my parents to Italy for the first time and for any trip to Italy, Rome is a necessity. We wanted somewhere within Rome itself, but outside of the touristy bustle so we could experience true Roman culture. We chose to stay at Villa Rome B&B. Villa Rome B&B is just outside of Rome itself (only a 20 minute train ride will get you within the major tourist sites). Our rooms were clean and with ample room for the two of us. We had keys so we could come and go as we pleased without disturbing anyone and they were always available if we needed them, but kept out of our way when we needed solitude. There was always a large spread of Italian favorites at breakfast (juice, coffee, pastries, nutella...) and Isabella and Paolo went out of the way to bring fresh pastries in from the local bakery in the morning as well as to have fresh fruit from their garden on the table. They were always full of suggestions on where to go for dinner, and should we have needed to ask, they would have been open to suggestions for things to see as well. One day we fell victim to a transportation strike, and the owners even picked us up from downtown Rome and when we didn't know where to go to eat, took us to their own restaurant where we ate the most delicious food. We had a wonderful time, and I am grateful to them for showing my parents a wonderful first trip to Europe as well.

We had a wedding at St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican and a wedding at Villa Miani which overlooks the city of Rome. We were in a group of 10 and were thrilled with our stay at Villa Rome. Isabella and Paola were very gratious and extremely helpful with information with getting around Rome, tours, and transportation. The location is ideal with the train station and bus stop nearby, a cafe shops and restaurants. You feel part of the locals and makes your trip a fun adventure. The rooms are quaint, charming, and clean. The bathrooms are small however typical in Europe. A nice way to start our day was with Breakfast which included coffee, tea, hot cocoa, juices, cereal, yogurt, toast, and brioche. It is an excellent value and was the perfect choice. We have traveled quite extensively and are picky with our choice in accommodations. VILLA ROME made our trip most memorable. We would definitely return and select over any 5 star hotel.

My family and I stayed here for a short city break and we absolutely loved it! The B&B is closely situated to the train station which is roughly 20mins from the the city centre. Upon our stay we truly felt like one of the locals as our location was understated yet relaxed. The B&B provides excellent service and the owners are very hospitable. Would highly recommend!

We had been looking for a b&b in Rome, outside the center (too crowded), but near enough to have easy access to all sites, in- and outside the town. We would come by car, but since we would move around with public transport most of the time, we were looking for a safe place to leave the car. Villa Rome has met all of our expectation. It's a very nice place, the bedroom was large, with the bed for our daughter situated in a little niche so we could read without disturbing her, and vice versa. The bathroom was complete with shower and clean. We had a little kitchen corner in our room, but we did not use it, since the landlady told us we could use the large breakfeast room also at night for dining. So we got us some cheese, ham, bread and fruit from the nearby shop and had dinner in the breakfeast room. Breakfeast was rich. Every second day we found a huge box of fresh "cornetti", the italian croissant, on the table. The one thing we loved was the fact that breakfeast was not served, but we found a buffet every morning, so we could get up and eat whenever we wanted to. The Ottaviano train station ist just nearby. A train to the center passes every 20 minutes, and the landlady gave us a map where all metro stations in Rome were marked and named, so getting around was very easy. All in all we have been very pleased. Thank you!

The pictures are very nice, but our room was terrible, and didn't correspond with these pics. Old furniture, uncomfortable, very noisy and the bathroom was horrible, tiny and with a bad smell. In my opinion what more differenciate a BeB is the atmosphere of being in a house, we are in contact with the people who lives there and learn better about the culture of the place. We stayed five days in this place and I saw the woman just in the first day and never more, she was never there. Her assistant is very nice, but couldn't help very much and speaks just Italian. The sensation was of abandonment. It's too far from the city centre and the trains weren't very regular. I really don't recommend.
