Carmen and Luana are exceptional hosts. Carmen picked the 5 of us up at the Florence train station on Sunday, transported us on guided excursions every day, and took us to the Rome airport the following Sunday and also prepared our breakfast and dinners every day. The rooms, meals, hospitality and excursions all were excellant and exceded our expectations. Carmens knowledge of the area and history made our excursions to Rome, Florence, Norcia, Assisi, Siena, Montalcino, Deruta, Perugia and Passignano very informative and interesting. Did I mention how great all the meals were? Can't wait to return! John & Charlene, Medina, Ohio

Our stay for 6 nights was absolutely wonderful. When we did not feel like going out we stayed in and had our marvelous dinner on the Veranda with a breathtaking view of the lake and the mountains. The rooms are delightful, each in a different decor. The owners are very accomodating and the atmosphere relaxing. Each day we were taken to the train station to spend it in another city. When we returned we called the Inn and were picked up. They made it so easy for us as we were two women and did not have a car. We cannot wait until next year to spend more time in this wonderful Villa Trasimeno

Carmello and Luana Oppedisano, innkeepers at Villa Trasimeno, are undoubtedly the finest hosts of any inn or B&B at which we have ever stayed. We felt more like family than "clients." Carmello & Luana attended to every detail imaginable - starting with a lovely reception with cocktails & a delicious crostini. They made sure our room was incredibly clean and well-appointed. They made sure we had anything and everything we needed for an enjoyable stay, including wonderful conversation with them and their delightful (almost) 4 year-old daughter, Aurora. Carmen (Carmello) was almost encyclopedic in his knowledge of the area of Tuscany and Umbria. He provided us with great tips about what to do, where to go, and - importantly - perfect driving directions. We visited out-of-the-way spots that we could never have known about, and we are richer for the experiences. The property is really beautiful - overlooking Lake Trasimeno. Their grounds, with both decorative plants and fruits & vegetables abounding, are also quite attractive. The house is fantastic and the bed we slept in was THE most comfortable bed we slept in throughout Italy - including Rome, the Cinque Terre, and Venice. The food that Luana and Carmen prepare is truly excellent. Who would think that breakfast could be so good? They always tried to find something special to serve - from home-made pastries to a "killer" frittata. Do yourself a favor and schedule at least one dinner at Villa Trasimeno. We could have eaten there every night of our seven night stay; the food was incredibly good! The meals were creative, attractive, and delicious - perfectly paired with excellent local wine. We were actually sad to leave to continue our holiday. We will definitely go back to see Carmen, Luana, & Aurora - our plans will have to include central Italy because of them.
