    Our Bed & Breakfast is a stone villa immersed in a peaceful and quiet setting surrounded by the green of its garden with pine trees, cypresses and olive groves and is only 9 km from Florence and 4 km from Fiesole. The ancient home has fully maintained all the characteristics of the country house, hence residing here one has the feeling of being in a very familiar and cosy environment. The house is composed of five double bedrooms all with private bathroom, each with its own particular feature and furnished with utmost care and elegance. From each room and from the terrace ( 200 mq ) one may delight in the enchanting views of Florence and Fiesole. The large living room with its fireplace, piano, and a big library section are all at the guests’ disposal. During the warmest months one may choose to have breakfast served in the “ allori garden “ or on the panoramic terrace.Our guests can enjoy our beautiful SWIMMING POOL with a scenic view over the hills of Fiesole and Florence. From the Bed & Breakfast it is easy to reach the centre of both Florence and Fiesole thanks to the city bus lines only 100 mt from the house. In the summer evenings it’s quite enjoyable to dine outside with a typical Tuscan menu served with a good bottle of Chianti wine and to watch the lovely view of the sun setting on the city of Florence. Private parking place is available inside the grounds. Bookings for the Uffizi Gallery, Accademy Gallery and Palatina Gallery made free of charge. SUGGESTED:Relax and visit the city, enjoy the nature just outside the centre in a small charming village.     Superior Red Room with about 35 sqm, it’s situated on the ground floor. It has stone floor, and it features a queen size bed and a sofa, that if needed, can become another single bed. It’s tastefully decorated with Tibetan and Mongolian furniture. Air Conditioning, TV, fridge-bar, and ambient music are available in this room. It has an en-suite bathroom, with stone walls, equipped with shower and bathtub, and a splendid view over Florence and the B&B’s pool. The room has a private entrance from the garden and a small private furnished porch of around 10sqm, protected with a wind shield.

All is decorated with a tasteful oriental modern style. Sat. TV and a/c are available. Both rooms can be separated with a sliding door, and can accommodate comfortably three people. It includes a small kitchen, with the access from the living room, fully furnished.Finally, it has a private porch.

      Highway A1 From Bologna and the North: Exit at Barberino del Mugello and follow the signs for Borgo San Lorenzo – Vaglia towards Florence. After 10km, in the village of Montorsoli, look for the restaurant Le Terrazze situated on the right. Keep going for 300m and then turn left into Via di Basciano where you will find La Paggeria at n° 130. Highway A1 from Rome and the South: Exit: Firenze Sud towards the Viali di Circonvallazione. Stay on the Viali until you reach Piazza della Libertà. From here follow sign for Via Bolognese, uphill for 10km. After passing Pian di San Bartolo then turn right into Via di Basciano where you will find La Paggeria at n° 130. Highway A11 from Pisa, Livorno, Genoa: Exit: Firenze Nord (north) follow indications for Firenze Centro, then for Viali Circonvallazione and stay on the Viali until you reach Piazza della Libertà. From here follow the signs for Via Bolognese, uphill for 10km. After passing the village Pian di San Bartolo turn right into Via di Basciano and the Paggeria is at N° 130 By Bus: Public bus ATAF N° 25A Departure from the Santa Maria Novella Train Station Take the n° 25A bus which will take you a bus stop at Montorsoli 1 that is just five minutes from our B&B. The bus to Florence departs from Via Montorsoli (bus stop Montorsoli 1) with ATAF bus N° 25A to Santa Maria Novella, a good starting point for exploring Florence.

    This was the highlight of our 10 day trip to Italy. While we enjoyed Rome and Venice, La Paggeria was quaint and relaxing. The view is remarkable, the rooms perfect and the food was the best we had in Italy (and we never had a bad meal). Paolo is an excellent chef! If you stay, you must sign up for dinner, it's well worth it.
