The main characteristic of the B&B Casa Schlatter is that of being not only a comfortable accommodation in an antique, luxury residence but also a real museum. You can enjoy by the vision of many original pieces of C.Adolfo Schlatter, great artist, who lived and worked at the end of the 19th century still unknown by the wide public ,realized in these rooms and never taken out of the house.Still owned by his descendant the house has been restored with all modern comforts and decorated with antique furniture, precious objectsbig and big pictures which represent Florence as it used to be.You can breath a very unique atmosphere, having a very pleasant and relaxing stay at the foot of the hills of Fiesole, a few minutes away from the centre of Florence. The B&B has three rooms, each one of them has been named after facts related to the story of the house and has different and unique characteristics. «Carlo Adolfo» Room is the biggest one, with an intermediate floor and can accommodate four people (a double bed + two single beds) and faces the quiet front garden.Private large bath room just aut of the room. «Emma» Room has a private access to the inside garden, double bed (which can be turned in two single beds).valuable forniture, privat bath room with bath and shower. «Gardener's» Room has a French duble bed.It is smaller but also more intimate:a refuge in the tranquility of the garden. The bath room will surprise you.

I was naturally attracted to Casa Schlatter when I discovered that Alessander's grandfather was an artist and this had been his home. His artwork adorned the walls. He was an iron worker and he made a remarkable bust of himself that is the corner stone of the entrance way. When you enter the reception room after walking under a canopy of wyisteria you stand before a breath taking scene of Florence that he painted in the 1800's. It must have been 10 by 20 feet. It is magnificent. The Casa is a ten minute walk from the center of town. The rooms that are available are beautifully decorated and comfortable. I felt embraced with charm and good will. Alessander gave us great recommendations for eateries and Gelato!!!! She baked us the best croissants I have ever had and our morning meals were delicious. Our stay was belissimo!!!!!

This beautiful bed and breakfast is run by the great granddaughter of the painter of all the paintings you see in the photo's. My boyfriend and I stayed in the room with the blue bed. That one is actually a 4 person bedroom. It has a beautiful spiral stairway in the room which lead to the other two beds. The breakfast was splended and the bathroom very clean. I strongly advise you to stay at this guesthouse!
