Il Palagetto, is a very bright and spacious Guest House; it was once the home of a prestigious family in the 600s, transformed into a small residence in the nineteenth century.A private parking area is included for exclusive use by our guests. Many parts of the home are still partly conserved in their original form, including the antique stone fired and Tuscan grit floors, and a terracotta fireplace.The rest has been completely and accurately restored with the same charm of the Florentine home as it once was.

this b&b was one of the best places on our honey moon trip. the attention to details is in every corner of the house: I do not know how anything could have been better presented. Ruggero was a great host: every morning a fantastic continental breakfast with boiled eggs, cheese, home made cakes & a good italian espresso coffee! don't forgot: a short walk up the road (near main locations but in a quiet and safe place) will give you an unforgettable view of Florence.

Very clean, beautifully decorated, every detail covered, very comfy bed, spacious, with a fantastic continental breakfast in a sunny living room! Ruggero is a nice person and he speaks English very well. We had access to tea/coffee/water 24h/24. Everything was great!

Il Palagetto Guest House is found in the center of the city outside the ZTL zone (limited traffic zone), making it comfortably reachable by car. From the main train station, Santa Maria Novella, take bus 12 and ask the driver to make the first stop after Piazza Vier Vettori. From highway A1, exit at Firenze Impruneta and follow directions to Firenze Centro until passing the first large square of Porta Romana and then Piazza Tasso. 100 meters ahead you will notive a large Esso store on the left, and then a street that inclines towards a hill. Il Palagetto is less than 100 meters from the beginning of that street (it is a small three floored, rose colored villa), on Via Monte Oliveto, #52.
