In less than a minute s walk you can easily reach the entrance to the Fortezza da Basso the most inportant exhibition centre in Florence. Our rooms are furnished in the style of the XIXth century as the building, furnished with all modern comforts including Internet and Satellite. Also available for our clients is a large room for reunions and show's. Our Bed and Breakfast offers a vast amount of services from organising site seeing tours to baby sitting, personal trainers and much more. Acabo de regresar de estar 4 dias en Florencia con unos amigos y la ciudad es una maravilla. Tuvimos mucha suerte de estar en Il Marzocco, Marco y Federica son fantásticos! Tuvimos problemas con el vuelo y hasta la 1 de la madrugada no llegamos y allí estuvo Marco esperando. Federica habla muy bien el español y al día siguiente nos dió un plano y nos recomendó sitios para ver, restaurantes,....además de hacernos la reserva para los Uffizi y la Accademia. Las habitaciones están genial. Muy recomendable para todos.

We planned to visit during off-season and found this B&B online. Thank goodness they had openings for our spur of the moment trip. The breakfast was such an incredible spread that we put off eating lunch. That worked out well as we went to quite a few museums. The room was romantic - and intimate. We enjoyed a sound sleep, quiet moments and were ready to tackle a busy schedule for the day. Frederika gave us points on the map to visit and places to eat. Marco discussed Italy culture and modern life with us as well as helped us with advice for selling our car online. We would spend more time next visit with Marco by having dinner and enjoy the great conversations. You will find exceptional hospitality, a great location and excellent food when you stay here. Although we only stayed 2 nights, we were treated as if we were going to stay for some months (like VIPs). Marco and Federica spend a lot of time with their guests giving explanations about the city and things to see as well as about the surroundings if you so desire. Our car was taken to the parking by them when we arrived and taken back in front of the door again when we left. We liked the beautiful ancient style of the hotel. The rooms and the breakfast room are most beautifully decorated and everything is very clean. Our room was maybe a little bit small but we were told so in advance. Breakfast was delicious and copious (!), although Italians do not seem to celebrate abundant breakfasts in general. The breakfast/recreation room gives a special warm atmosphere which invites to stay there reading in the history books about Florence and the region which are there at the disposal of the guests, or chatting. If we go back to Florence one day, we will, of course, stay at the Marzocco again.

My wife and I stayed at this B&B from April 16-24, 2010 and had a great time. Marco and Federica both spoke great english. Since this was our first trip to Italy we really didn't know what to expect, but everything was great. The B&B is close enough to everything to allow you to walk all over Florence. We had heard that there may be long lines at some of the museums and Marco was able to make us reservations before we even arrived. They helped us make reservations for dinner if needed--they were really always there to assist and help us in any way we needed. They even helped us rent a car and gave us a map and directions and lunch recommendations for a drive through the chianti region--a day everyone should experience. They were our security blanket while we were in Florence and we thank them for that. Our only regret was that we were not able to stay longer.

Stay for 4 nights at B&B Il Marzocco in Florence and it was the best experience ever! Let Marco and Frederica be your hosts for your stay in Florence. The B&B is owned by Marco, it is very much a part of him and he takes great pride in it. It certainly is Italian perfection at its best.Tastefully Decorated rooms, comfy bed with a huge bath all impeccably clean with a sincere and profoundly human touch. Marco and Frederika will give you all the information you need to make your sightseeing easy and enjoyable. Being truly Florentine they live, eat and breath Florence. Any question or need you may have they will accommodate you. The breakfast set up also has the touches of a place and a person that cares about its guests. Fresh baked goods, fruits, best Cappuccino made especially for you. Don't forget to ask advice for the best Gelato and Tratattoria's in town! Take the time to speak to Marco about the art of Florence it is his passion he knows the little ins and outs that you will not find in any travel guide, besides he is one of the kindest, nicest gentleman you will ever have the pleasure of meeting.

My new husband and I spent our honeymoon in Italy and the B&B Il Marzocco was our first stop and we loved it! It's a great location - 10 min walk from the train station. When we got there our wonderful hosts gave us a 15 minute walk through of the "highlights" of Florence. She also had lunch / dinner / gelato recommendations. All were great! The room was the "romantic double" -- so we had close quarters, but it was not bad at all. Probably better for a couple, rather than friends though. The walk into town was about 10-15 minutes. Everything was very convenient. One thing to add -- you get the personal touch here -- example, in the morning when we went in for breakfast our dear hosts would bring us our choice of an espresso, cappuccino, etc. They were very attentive. We would definitely go back!
