La vecchia Cantina is a 19th century old farmhouse, which has been recently fully renovated and converted into a bed & breakfast. It is located in Colombarone, Canneto Pavese, in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese hills, renowned for its distinct wines.
This property is situated on the hilltops quilted with vines, overlooking the Padana flatland above Broni. From thebedrooms, the terrace, the garden or the swimming pool you can enjoy stunning views over the Cicognola Castle, the Rocca di Stradella and the remains of the Montue’ castle. From the panoramic terrace on the second floor of the property, the views reach as far as Piacenza and the Tortonesi hills. You can see in the far away distance the skyline of Milan and the impressive Alps.
You can spend hours admiring the peaceful countryside whilst relaxing with a glass of Metodo Classico wine. Don’t be surprised if hares, boars or squirrels are running in the fields nearby.La vecchia Cantina offers bedrooms on a bed and breakfast basis and self-catering apartments. There is a large garden with a children’s play area, a panoramic swimming pool and private parking spaces.
Breakfast is served in a characteristic dining room overlooking the countryside or on the adjacent terrace, where you can relax whilst having an aperitif and sample the local produce (on request).

The property is located 5 km from the exit of the motorway Torino-Piacenza-Brescia, 5 km from Stradella, 4 km from the Montescano clinique and 15 km from Casteggio.
The historic centre of Pavia is 20 minutes away by car and the bridge over the river Po’ and Ticino (Becca bridge) is only 15 minutes away.
La vechia Cantina is in an ideal position for excursions to Pavia, Piacenza, Voghera, Casteggio, Stradella, Salice Terme, Varzi, Milan, Mantova, Cremona and Bologna.
From the motorway Torino-Piacenza take the exit for Broni-Stradella, follow directions to Broni, Broni centre. When you reach the centre of the town follow signs for Canneto P. and drive uphill. At the top you will arrive in Colombarone and you will see the signpost for La vecchia Cantina.
