The Cardo Resort rises on the green hills between Tuscany and Umbria. The Resort, surrounded by wheat fields and oak groves, is not far from the fascinating medieval village of Anghiari, voted as one of the one hundred most beautiful Italian villages. Anghiari is often a chosen location by filmmakers for it's beauty.

The farm-house was built around an ancient tower dating back to Longobard times, one thousand years ago. It's panoramic view of the valley along with a walk down the road to Chianti slopes and Casentino forests, is a feast for the eyes to behold.

Your hosts, Maria Pia and Cesare's, affection for ancient farm-houses, have meticulously renovated the property into an elegant and comfortable home. Guests can recuperate and relax surrounded by the stillness of the Tuscan country side.

The Cardo resort is a perfectly situated to the main art towns in Central Italy, such as Arezzo, Perugia, Assisi, Urbino, Siena, Florence, Ravenna, Gubbio, Cortona on the Trasimeno Lake, Sanseplcro and Città di Castello. You are surrounded by small Medieval villages such as Citerna, Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, Montone, Caprese Michelangelo, Chiusi della Verna. All are a short distance and easy to reach. Also nearby are the famous Piero della Francesca's and Pinturicchio' s art tours, as well as the Burri Museums. Beautiful untouched landscapes, golf courses, horse back riding and Spas.

Directions to property:
From the south:
Take the highway A1, exit Orte. Then take the E45, exit Sansepolcro sud: after the rotonda turn on the left toward Arezzo. After 100 mt turn on the right toward Anghiari.

From the north:
Take the highway A1 until Bologna, then take the A14 until Cesena nord. Then, take the E45, exit Sansepolcro sud: turn on the right toward Arezzo and after 100 mt turn on the right toward Anghiari.

Once you arrive in Anghiari, go on the top of the town following the curves of the ring road. When the road starts to descend, at the crossing turn on the left toward Castello di Sorci. After 800 mt. turn on the right in a country road, in correspondance of a little Lady Chapel on the corner. Go down through the country road, among the oak-trees and the corn fields, until the entrance gate of the Cardo Resort.
