The Roost Bed and Breakfast

If your idea of an escape means fire and water then you need to stay in the Hunt Suite. Here you can submerge yourself in a deep, deluxe whirlpool tub while watching the fireplace! What more could you want? Well, how about gold-plated lavatory fixtures, fluffy towels, dreamy linens, and fresh-baked cookies right outside your door? You may find this a challenge, but do pry yourself out of the room for breakfast. Tom makes a ham and egg braid that is out of this world. He and Aimee are the warmest, most friendly hosts who truly understand why you have come to roost. Let them take care of you and have as great a time as I did.

I went to the Roost for a girls weekend in February and had an amazing stay. Tom and Aimee are lovely people, extremely gracious and friendly hosts. The rooms are spacious, immaculate and well appointed with super comfortable beds and luxurious linens. Every room has a fireplace and huge spa tubs with walk-in showers. I stayed in the Sage Suite and adored the four poster bed with the stairs leading up to it :D Tom is an excellent cook and uses organic and locally sourced ingredients which I truly appreciate. The ham and egg braid was incredible. They have a winterized gazebo, which was a delightful (and warm) spot to gather with everyone on a cold but sunny Feb. day. Although Aimee and Tom are relatively new innkeepers they are such naturals and really make their guests feel like honored guests. They are extremely accommodating. They get it. It's all about service and attention to details. I wish them much success and hope to visit again soon with my husband.

My wife and I debated in the car ride home about writing a review. We don't want it to get so busy that we can't book. This place is a real find. The owners are fantastic, amenities have everything you would want, and the food is increadible.

The Bella Suite is a wonderful place to rest and relax (with your very own cookie jar!) The innkeepers are extremely accomodating and pleasant, yet not intrusive.

We had a wonderful time at this b and b. The rooms all had a fireplace and an air-jetted whirlpool. The owners go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. I would definately stay here again in the future!

My husband and I stayed here for our 5 year anniversary. It was our first time staying as a B&B and it was wonderful. The host was fantastic. Every room was beautiful and breakfast was delicious!

We stayed at The Roost June 18-20, 2011. The house is beautiful, the grounds are luscious, the whirlpool tubs extremely relaxing, beds very comfortable, nice showers, breakfasts fabulous and the innkeepers extremely accommodating. What a great place for a relaxing getaway weekend! It rained most of our weekend and we didn't care! We sat in an enclosed gazebo, listened to the rain, read a great book, talked and sipped on hot chocolate followed by the whirlpool tub. Great performing Arts Center in Appleton and even a Melting Pot 4 course fondue restaurant and many nice local restaurants for dinner. We will go back and try another of the 5 rooms -- all different decors.

My wife and I live in Appleton and for Anniversary number 8 we needed to find a getaway near home. We were pleasantly surprised to find The Roost tucked into one of Appleton's east side neighborhoods, and were even more satisfied once we got there. The exterior is fantastic and features an amazing back patio area. The interior is equally impressive and the rooms are immaculately maintained. The best part however, is found in the owners. Let me put it this way; we finished breakfast at about 11:30 AM because we didn't want the conversation to end. A great time, a great place, with great people. Decor of house was very elegant. Located in a nice neighborhood near downtown. Tom and Aimee were friendly and helpfull with any needs or questions. Beutiful backyard with a gazebo to relax in that we could not enjoy because of the weather. Breakfast was perfect.

My husband and I went for a special weekend to The Roost. The decor was amazing, each room was inviting, and the amenities were wonderful. The rooms had private baths, fireplaces, and jacuzzi's to start. The hosts were fantastic, they really made you feel like you were at home. The breakfast served was wonderful, several course meal with fresh fruit to start and a gourmet signature dish! They had little touches like home baked goodies which were delicious. We stayed in The Bella Suite, which was beautiful with overhead speakers in each area of the room, a lovely and elegant private bath, and sitting area. WOW...it was amazing. The whole house room by room is so cozy and lovely. As well, it is very quiet which was quite relaxing. My husband had not stayed in a B&B ever, and he was so extremely pleased. I had been to several, but none quite compared to the quality, comfort and beauty this one had to offer. It is a must for anyone looking for the above and beyond experience.....!

We just stayed in the Tapestry Room of the Roost BandB... I have to be honest, I was a little nervous, booking a bed and breakfast. I had never stayed at one, before, and I was scared that it would be really awkward. I LIKE the anonymity of a hotel. I like being able to walk into hotel and not talk to anyone. But man, this experience was second to none. All 5 of the rooms are beautiful, I would be happy in any one of them. I like the Roost because it is more of a Tuscan/French cottage style, VS a big stuffy Victorian, suits my tastes much better. The room was perfect, perfectly clean, complete with a 2 person whirlpool tub, right in the room. The bed was awesome!! I should email and ask for the brand, because my husband can't stop talking about it. Tom was super nice, very friendly and sharp as a tack. I am REALLY picky about food and he accommodated my tastes at breakfast. I was nervous about that, too, because I was thinking they would slap something in front of me and that would be it... and then I would feel super bad about not eating all of it, or picking, because it had things I didn't like. Not the case, at all. Tom asked us what we liked, and the food was amazing. For real, I loved everything he put in front of me. Tom used all local/organics, were available and I really appreciate that! Bottom line, we will stay there, again. You should, too. You will not regret it, I can promise you. The city of Appleton is really nice. I really liked it there. Everyone is super friendly, you get the selection and night life, because it is a college town, but it still has that safe, small-city feel. There are a large variety of restaurants to select from. I know I sound like some paid advertiser, but I am not. I was just so impressed with the night my husband and I got. With 3 kids, that doesn't happen all that often and Tom really made the say worthwhile. Forget the big, cold chain hotel and support your local business.

The Roost is an incredible B&B. Very comfortable... the hosts are friendly, caring & genuine. They are detail oriented and made my stay very enjoyable.
