Lovely unexpectedly wonderful B&B with experienced, warm innkeepers. We especially loved being introduced to the goats. Room was spotless, well-appointed and our shower was huge. Breakfast with farm fresh eggs from their on-property henhouse was a real treat. Delicious and plentiful.

What a beautiful place! We so enjoyed our 3-night stay at Cider Mill House in September 2013. The room was cozy and had all the comforts of home. The bountiful breakfasts were unbelievably delicious from beginning to dessert (Yes, dessert for Breakfast!). This was our very first stay at a B&B. All others will have to measure up to this one, because our entire experience was excellent! Our hosts were so friendly and informative, and we felt they went above & beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this one!

My husband and I came here for a weekend away from D.C. to celebrate our recent marriage. It was an amazing place to take in nature--the farm is immaculate and perfectly quaint--and we fell in love with the goats, chickens, and guinea hens. Ed & Kat were amazing hosts--super friendly, laidback, and great storytellers. The breakfast was magnificent: zucchini broccoli frittata, potatoes, sausages, and more! We also browsed Kat's beautiful artwork and bought a couple prints as souvenirs. We definitely recommend this place and hope to return one day.

I first discovered Cider Mill House in 2010 as I searched for places "off the beaten path". What a great find it was! While it is somewhat off the beaten path, there is so much to see and so many places to visit in just a short drive. It was fabulous to take in the history and sites of nearby towns and then return for a relaxing evening on the front porch at Cider Mill. I just had a second stay at the house, and it was just a wonderful the second time! Patty SC

My wife and I stayed at the Cider Mill House in Hedgesville, WV on our way home to Georgia from a visit to New England in June. The accommodations were wonderful! The room was clean, comfortable, nicely furnished, and offered a lovely view of the picturesque farm on which the house is situated. Our hosts presented us with a warm welcome, a hearty fresh-cooked breakfast, and pleasant conversation. The B&B is a little off the beaten path but not inconvenient and certainly well worth the side trip if only for the scenery. We would recommend the Cider Mill House as an excellent choice for anyone visiting or passing through the area!

Welcomed and enveloped by nature. This location takes you away from your busy life and pushes you to relax, be still and be at peace. Great getway just a short drive from DC or Baltimore. Breakfasts were huge and covered us till dinner. We hope to get back there again. Thanks Ed & Kat (and all those farm animals!)

Ed and Kat treat you like family - family that they like - a lot! A stay at Cider Mill House is peaceful, relaxing and low key. Kat and Ed fuss over you when they feel they need to and give you all the space and freedom you need the rest of the time to come and go, or to stay around and roam their land. You immediately feel like you're home and totally relaxed. If you like quiet, rural, country life, but comfortable accommodations this is the place for you. Everything you need is there. The bathrooms are renovated, luxuriously tiled and spacious - quite a surprise in an old house like this. It was Kat's childhood home and her pride in it and her family provide the inspiration for many wonderful stories of life growing up at Cider Mill. It's a truly special place and a privilege to be there. Ed and Kat both appear in the house kitchen early each morning to prepare your fantastic, (personally tailored if necessary) breakfasts (even when there's only two of you). Ed is the master chef! No hurrying here - they totally devote themselves to your needs with little surprises and personal touches and wonderful conversation you wouldn't get anywhere else. My gluten free, dairy free cookies and treats were delicious and created specially for me! I didn't expect that. Fresh farm eggs - yum! You can meet the chickens that provide them and call them by name. Love it. This is not your run of the mill B&B. Can't wait to go back.

We always have an enjoyable time when staying at the Cider Mill House. They offer a wonderful getaway that is very peaceful and quiet. The scenery is very calming and the animals very amusing. My wife and I spent two nights with Ed and Cat, and could not have been happier or better taken care of. The Cimaglios or both gracious and accomodating, as well as very knowledgable about the local area. Additionally, the farm and surrounding area have great places to walk, interesting things to see, and if you walk away from the breakfast table hungry it's your own fault. The food is plentiful and very well prepared. We will stay with Cat and Ed any time we are in the area.

I’ll be brief, incase all you read is the first paragraph. This is a wonderful place. The setting is quiet, secluded and full of nature’s beauty and not hard to get to. The breakfasts are delicious. The rooms are very nice: clean, cozy and comfortable. The hosts are devoted to making your stay at the Inn enjoyable in every way. This is definitely our favorite B&B. They’ll have cookies waiting for you when you arrive. You should get in some practice exercising your will power before you come here. You’ll need it. “Everything in moderation”… “Everything in moderation”… Oh well, how much damage could one weekend of indulgence do? Your comfortable room will feel like home almost immediately. If it’s still light take some time to explore the farm, If it’s not just enjoy the evening sounds and anticipate the morning when you can see the beauty of the place. Breakfasts are one of our favorite things about the Inn. Ed is a wonderful, creative chef. Everything he’s made for us has been delicious, well prepared and nicely presented. After more than 6 trips to the Cider Mill House we’re still waiting for a repeat. One thing I always like to highlight about Ed’s culinary skills. He’s very careful preparing your food when you require a special diet. My wife has Celiac disease. She’s allergic to the gluten in wheat, rye, barley and oats. Her diet has to be gluten free. If you know anything about it you know that cross contamination is a constant worry. Ed knows that too and is very careful. He’s as fussy about it in his kitchen as you would be at home. My wife has never had a problem with anything that Ed’s made for her. So, to sum it up: great breakfasts, wonderful hosts, comfortable rooms, beautiful setting. It’s our favorite place. Each year when it’s time to head back home at the end of our weekend we’re already eagerly looking forward to when we can return.

My wife and I are repeat guests at the Cider Mill House. We’ve enjoyed each and every stay there. Kat and Ed are wonderful hosts. They’re totally dedicated to making sure your stay is a pleasant one. There are always fresh cookies on the table in the dining room and hot water available for your afternoon or evening tea. Their goal is to give you a place and an opportunity to escape and unwind from the hectic pace of life at home. The breakfasts are the signature attraction. They’re without equal. Ed is a fantastic cook. As repeat guests he feels freer to out new recipes with us. Each has been wonderful. Besides the deliciousness factor they’re nicely presented and feature lots of fresh, local ingredients. The portions are so generous and the courses so numerous you’ll have no need for an early lunch. (How often does breakfast include dessert?? Ed’s do!) My wife has a food allergy and needs to have a gluten-free diet. Ed and Kat have always taken excellent care of her. Ed actually enjoys the challenge of finding new gluten-free things for her. He’s super careful in the preparation so that none of her food is ever cross-contaminated with something glutinous. The farm that surrounds the Inn is a beautiful place. It’s far enough from the main road to be completely secluded but not so far as to be inconvenient or hard to get to. If you’re inclined to be active there’s plenty of room to get out and stretch your legs after the wonderful breakfast or you can just stay close and admire their flocks of goats, chickens and Guinea hens. If we could go there every weekend, or even once a month, we would – in a hearbeat! But for now it’s our special annual gift to ourselves. We can’t wait until it’s time to go back.

Quiet, Restful, cozy beds...great privacy...party shower for 2-8 in 'Foxes Den' room...Ed and Kat are wonderfully accommodating to food intolerances and requests of all sorts. Ed is a MASTER CHEF, though he won't admit it. Typical breakfast include: macerated fruit, delightfully presented with muffins and sweet breads of all sorts, with an assortment of homemade jams. Moving on to a zuchinni and chive cheese frittata with broiled tomatoes and turkey sausage. As if that weren't enough, the Pièce de résistance was a poached pear in strawberry wine sauce. That was the first morning! My goodness, we were too full to do anything but enjoy Kat and Ed's colorful stories from 'back in the day'. We will definitely return! Especially fun were all the goats, cows, guinea hens, and chickens roaming freely-actually excited about your arrival. Check out Tim Williams flint lock rifle shop a few doors down at 6654 Back Creek Valley Rd. He makes then to order and fit.

My husband found this delightful B&B for our twelfth anniversary celebration - he did well! Ed and Kat are excellent hosts and our stay was lovely thanks to their gracious hospitality. We stayed in the Nancy Robinson Room. The decor is consistent with the photos and the period of the house. The bed was very comfortable and it was great sleeping in the quiet of this rural setting. Ed and Kat did a fabulous breakfast both days! It was heavenly! The food was delicious, prepared with fresh fruits and veggies and presented beautifully. The only "complaint" we had was that their was too much to eat it all - but my husband came close! Our hosts left fresh baked cookies and "fixin's" for hot beverages in the evening so it was nice to come back after a day exploring the area and have a little sweet snack before going to bed. One of the days we were there we took a walk on the trails - very nice for a healthy - and hearty! - walk. On the top we were able to have a great view of the surrounding countryside. They also recommended a lovely little Italian restaurant - Cafe Visino - in Martinsburg for an authentic dinner over which to celebrate our anniversary even more. We plan to go back again any time we need a place to stay when we are in the area.

We were supposed to be meeting with friends in the DC area in late August but detoured west due to Isabel coming ashore. Thank you Isabel we found Cider Mill online and took a chance. Enjoyed a quiet evening learning Shut the Box on the porch, sipping wine and watching a beautiful sunset courtesy of Isabel. Room was wonderful, great bed, quiet setting, made for a sound restful sleep. Breakfast was a 4 course experience including a finish with ice cream and baked apple. Enjoyable visit with Ed and Kat after breakfast about the peahens and goats. This gem is certainly on our route the next time we visit the area. Jerry and Julia Glattfelt

A "hidden gem" is the right depiction for Cider Mill House. Ed & Kat (inn keepers) are wonderful folks and you feel their passion for making your stay at their house as a warm and welcomed experience. Chocolates on the bed when you arrive add a special touch. Big Red, the rooster, strutting down the path to the house and announcing the start of another day is a must see in the morning. Ed's breakfasts are top-notch chef quality and you don't leave the table unsatisfied. Even with continuous rain during our trip, the weather was no damper to our time at Cider Mill House.

The Cider Mill House is seemingly in the middle of nowhere, but what a lovely location for a fall getaway! The room was well-appointed and perfectly clean, as was the private bath. The shower didn't drain so well, but that kind of thing is to be expected in a historic house like this. The extra touches like Ed's homemade cookies, refrigerator stocked with beverages, and artisan-made chocolates on the pillow were special treats. The breakfast the next morning was out of this world delicious and we didn't need to eat the rest of the day!

My husband and I stayed here during a weekend to visit friends. We have not stopped raving about it since! It was like stepping into another time- while retaining modern convenience of course! This gorgeous farm house is on a pristine farm. My husband and I were both impressed by how clean and neat everything was! It is a sprawling mecca of outdoor surprises- amazingly sweet and intelligent goats, a pristine spring, old barns and trails. Ed and Kat also serve up the best breakfast you will ever have.... large enough to carry you over until dinner! They are a kind and interesting couple- making their guests feel at ease and at home. We stayed in the Foxes Den Room- very thoughtful decor, interesting books, a GORGEOUS bathroom with a gigantic shower. We will certainly be returning!

My husband and I came here for an anniversary celebration on the recommendation of some friends and we are sure glad that we did. Our friends told us about how friendly Ed and Kat are and how amazing the food is. They were right. They also told us about how cute the rooms are and how wonderful it feels to be away from the city. Also right. This was the best weekend getaway we have ever had - and it was probably the least expensive too! I cannot underscore how excellent the breakfast was. The portions are huge (we didn't eat until 5pm) and the food is creative and delicious. We will be back!!

My wife and I just stayed Friday evening at Cider Mill House and had the most wonderful time. It didn't take us long to get there because we are local. We checked in and was greeted right away by the hosts Ed and Kat. They showed us around and told us to make ourselves comfortable. After my wife and I settled into the Late 1790's period room, we decided to take a walk on the trails around the 200 plus acres surrounding Cider Mill House. The scenery was beautiful! They also have goats, hens, and roosters roaming around the property making you feel as if you had traveled back in time to an 1800's working farm. Afterwards, we sat on the large front porch in rocking chairs that evening and listened to the symphony of crickets and frogs. Pure Relaxation!! The next morning we awoke to the smells of country sausage and farm fresh eggs cooking down the hall in the kitchen. We sat outside and was served a very large portioned breakfast fit for a King and Queen. Ed and Kat were wonderful hosts and chefs with a great sense of humor. I would recommend a stay here to anyone wishing to escape for the weekend into the country for beautiful scenery, relaxation and a delicious breakfast that will definitely leave you full, happy and relaxed!!

We had a great stay. We went to celebrate our 7th anniversary, and it was an easy drive from DC, but it couldn't be further away! Breakfast was delicious, with generous portions--we didn't get hungry again until late afternoon! It was so peaceful and quiet (except for the occasional animal noises, which we loved hearing), you feel like you stepped into another century. [In a way it is another century--the inn is in a dead zone, so no cell service or wifi in the house, unless you get out onto the main road--but this wasn't a drawback for us at all, we welcomed the break from our connected lives!] We'll definitely be visiting again, and soon!

I have stayed at many B&Bs around the country and this is the most genuine, authentic version of what you hope to find in a warm and comfortable home. Ed and Kat are right there when you need them and discreetly at a distance when you don't. They know when to fuss over you and when to give you some space. They never hover and yet if you need them, just whistle, it's like magic. Leave the TV, the Internet and the telephone behind and get reacquainted with nature and what is most important. My husband and I needed some time to really relate to one another again and this is a spacious place to do it. Ed and Kat are positive, friendly, accommodating and flexible. They open their home and their hearts to welcome you and give you all the space you need to rest, relax and recharge. When you are at Cider Mill House you can leave your worries behind and truly find peace. Accommodations are comfortable, generous and really beautiful. The vast front porch is perfect for early morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The yard swing is great for a cuddle and conversation and the soothing sound of the rushing stream provides background music to the singing birds. The food is bountiful and delicious and the coffee pot is never empty Don't miss this one !!!

We've visited the Cider Mill House several times. It’s at the top of our list of favorite places to go. What can I say that others haven't already said? That Ed and Kat are wonderful hosts -- lively, animated and personable? They are that and more. They really want you to enjoy your stay and they do everything they can to make sure that you do. Cookies, tea and coffee in the evening; sumptuous feasts masquerading as breakfast in the mornings. The rooms are always nice -- very clean and neat. The surroundings are gorgeous - we usually come in the fall - but I'm sure that they're beautiful other times of the year, too. One thing that we really appreciate is Ed and Kat's care to provide a gluten-free meal for my wife. She has a food allergy (Celiac disease) that makes life pretty difficult for the cook. Fortunately Ed knows how to cook gluten-free from past experience and is very, very careful. It's supposed to be a weekend away, right? Free from the worry and busyness of our day-to-day lives. If you're spending the time worrying about what sort of setback you might experience because of iffy food it's just not that relaxing. At Cider Mill House there are none of those worries. It's not food-roulette. It's safe, good, bountiful and worry free. If you can possibly contemplate another meal once Ed and Kat are through with you there's an Outback Steakhouse (another very careful, Celiac friendly place) just over the mountain in Martinsburg. Cider Mill House is peaceful, quiet and relaxing – a wonderful place to unwind. The hosts are congenial and the food is delicious. It's difficult not to make a reservation for every weekend. It's that nice a place.

My new husband and I spent the first night of our honeymoon at the Cider Mill House on our drive down south. We originally planned to stay in Berkeley Springs for the night, but decided to change our reservation to the more rural location in Hedgesville. It was more than well worth the drive out to the country to stay at the Cider Mill House! The place is beautiful, the rooms were quaint and immaculately clean, the hosts were so friendly and down-to earth, and the breakfast was one of the largest and tastiest we've ever had at a B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed waking to the sight of grazing goats and chickens in the morning, too. You will not be disappointed if you stay here, and if you are an animal lover, you will especially enjoy it!

It's tough deciding to share our joy in this little gem, just a detour off main roads west of Washington, DC, with all the world -- why not keep its lush indoor and outdoor beauties to ourselves in the hope we'll always find a vacancy? Because that wouldn't be fair to Ed and Kat Cimaglio, the dear, merry, and immensely talented innkeepers, that's why! They have outfitted the bedrooms in Kat's family's West Virginia stone farmhouse with elegant modern appointments (including Kat's original artwork), while retaining all the home's pre-Revolutionary War character. We chose the large, exquisite "Foxes Den" room, with its great bathroom, including huge shower and generous sink counters. We were uniquely fortunate to have the house to ourselves for two nights this past Memorial Day weekend, and were overwhelmed, as we rocked on the gracious second-story porch, not only by the magnificent night sky and the glorious screen of trees, but by the profound silence enveloping us. The occasional toad or owl call was all that penetrated the peace. The breakfasts are huge creative feasts, orchestrated primarily by Ed and never exactly the same. Eggs from the farm's busy hens feature prominently, as do Kat's baked goods, like her moist banana bread. Kat's intelligent goats are a trip to observe, particularly with Kat's hilarious narration -- which she doesn't press on you but which is awfully good free comedy if you want it. The paths the Cimaglios have cut through their fields and woods provide lovely exercise, as does the refreshing pool set on a hillside from which you can watch the goats imploring Kat for their dinner. Cider Mill House is close to the art, restaurant, and spa scene of Berkeley Springs, WVA, and not far from hiking and biking in Western MD, particularly the spectacular Western Maryland Rail Trail, which has major access points in Hancock and Pearre, MD.

Just returned home from a most relaxing weekend at the Cider Mill House B&B. This is THE PLACE to stay if you are looking for beautiful vistas, wonderful hosts, excellent lodgings, bountiful and delicious breakfasts, easy access to anywhere in the WV Eastern Panhandle and last but not least - some peace and quiet. The guinea hens and goats provide endless entertainment from the second floor porch and there is nothing quite like an early morning walk before breakfast while the mist is still clinging to the meadows. This is a place to return to whenever life in Northern Virginia gets too hectic.

This has to be the best B&B out there, hands down. Ed and Kat are the warmest, most sincere, and gracious hosts we could ever hope for. The house is a beautiful 200+ year old farmhouse that exudes all the qualities of what a B&B should be. It is surrounded by several hundred pristine acres of rolling hillsides and forest. You are free to roam about as you like. You can even feed their goats (although Fritz will steal all the treats). You can hike wherever you please. We have stayed there twice now, and have every intention of returning whenever we can. There is just something very inviting about the kind demeanor of the ownwers and the warmth of the house itself. The Foxes Den is amazing, with an awesome shower, and a great view of the farm. They have a pool and a place for a campfire (which was nice, as it was chilly that night). The food is by far the best breakfast I have ever had. I was still stuffed at dinner! -can't wait to go back, Matt & Laura

You don't realize how the sights and sounds of the city have overwhelmed you until you get the sights and sounds of an old time farm. You feel like you are going back to Colonial times when you get to Kat and Ed’s Cider Mill House farm. The background noise of city vehicles is replaced with indescribable sound of guinea hens, chickens and a flowing stream. You know you have arrived when you hear a rooster crowing in the afternoon. The wood screen door to the 150-year old Cider Mill house slams with an echo of Great Grand Ma's farm. The rolling grass fields out back are framed by a rising bank of forest; inviting a nice walk. A herd of goats being led down a path by a biblical looking Kat holding her tall, hooked staff. Kat has names for her goats and describes their different personalities. It seems that each critter on the farm is allowed to be itself, unharvested; left to achieve a millionaire’s old age passing. We slept well that night and awoke to a superb breakfast. Jack-of-all-trades Ed is also a fine Chef. He and Kat looked of Colonial times as they served up breakfast. Kat visited with us on the porch with tales of local history and lore. She grew up on the farm. While we ate the gourmet breakfast, the farm critters were mulling about before us, capturing our attention with the sights and sounds of their daily routine. Besides being a formidable farmer and innkeeper, Kat is a very fine artist with many of her works displayed about. We bought a painting of Bessie the goat and it looks great on the wall at home. We also got to meet Bessie in person. If you are interested in preservation of historical structures and farmland, staying at Kat and Ed’s farm helps preserve the very beautiful historical home and farm you get to experience. The home’s historical aesthetic is very well preserved while all creature comforts are up to date.

This is honestly the gold standard of B&Bs. All others should be try to be EXACTLY like Cider Mill House. My girlfriend and I stayed there for our anniversary back in January. He called my girlfriend "the pretty one" which we both got a kick out of. We showed up pretty late on a Friday, 10PM after work and they both came down to unlock the house and show us around. The house is big, beautiful and very well decorated. There are always Kat's cookies to be had which are fantastic. Those double chocolate chip cookies I still crave to this day. They also have drinks and snacks available 24/7 if you are hungry. We stayed in the Foxes Den which was very nice. The bathroom was huge and the shower was big enough to have a party in! The king size bed was incredible, and must have been a multi-million dollar mattress it was so comfortable. The grounds are beautiful as well. It is a working farm with all sorts of animals running around (fenced in, of course). There are multiple hiking trails to explore, as well as a camp ground on the large piece of land that they own. If you are a photographer there are a lot of opportunities for some great shots. Ed and Kat's breakfast is the best you will ever have, hands down. My lord, everything that came out of their kitchen was fantastic. The fresh sausage sauteed in apple butter and the orange french toast and then the next day the omelettes with garden fresh vegetables. It can't be beat. So to summarize, the bed was awesome and I had by far the best breakfast I have ever had in my life. Kat and Ed are fantastic people and the establishment they run couldn't be any better!

The innkeepers, Ed and Kat, were so gracious and fun, and hard working! We met the chickens, guinea fowl, and goats, and took refreshing walks on the property trails. We had stimulating conversation with other guests and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This inn is owned by two lively, interesting, and friendly people with a diversity of talents and a beautiful old house. We loved the working farm and the food was truly outstanding!

Kat & Ed are the best Innkeepers ever! Not to mention great chefs. We enjoyed staying at the Cider Mill House and will absolutely be back! We felt so at home, and enjoyed going to the local antique shops and just hiking around. This quiet, serene setting is a great getaway! Thanks for a wonderful weekend. Mike and Cris

We had a wonderful wknd at Cider Mill House for our 1st year anniversary! The property was beautiful and we took many great photos of the animals, landscape and architecture! The decor in the house was amazing-very authentic and a great victorian style! Ed and Kat were very hospitable, and kept us well fed with a delicious b.fast and afternoon cookies! We loved seeing the studio and getting painting tips! Thanks and may everyone be blessed who visits C.M.H.! Kath & Juan

We stay at B & B's frequently and found this to be an exceptional place. The atmosphere and ammenities were great. The breakfasts held us until dinner! And the "ugly" cookies were delicious. We only regret that, due to weather, we couldn't take advantage of the hiking trails - next time! The owners made our stay enjoyable - they truly enjoy what they do and it shows in their hospitality.

My husband, friends and I have fallen in love with the Cider Mill House and it's innkeepers. The location is waaay off the beaten track and somewhat difficult to locate (especially in the dark) but it's well worth the effort to have a beautiful room and bath, a breakfast beyond expectations and innkeepers with intelligence and a wonderful sense of humor. Even with other guests on site, we were made to feel special. Altho' our first, it won't be our last B&B visit - but we all agree that we've been spoiled! Highly recommend the Cider Mill House to any and all.

The place was beautiful, the rooms impeccable, the hospitality full of love, genuine people, excellent food. We really felt like we were home. We would go back just for the food, if not all the other great things.

We enjoyed the historic farmhouse - filled with original paintings don by Katherine Cimiglia, our hostess. She grew up in the farmhouse where we stayed and treated us like family. Katherine & husband, Ed, made us breakfast and had us eat out on the porch. We were treated like royalty!

Beautifully appointed rooms, gourmet breakfast, friendly, accommodating hosts, restorative setting. We stayed two nights and felt like we had been away for a week. We highly recommend Cider Mill House.

The place was immaculate, the owners were so genuine and caring; very determined to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room was spacious, and very clean. The house was very accomodating; beverages and snacks available. There was alot to do on the property; they had a pool (very clean), trails to scout out, animals to feed (goats, chickens, cows)...and yet you would never know there were animals being kept there because it was so clean and never malodorous. We were so impressed. The breakfast was like no other; they were very good about keeping to our dietary needs and other guests needs as well. They did not rush us out and we didnt want to leave anyway! We stayed until about 3 which is way over the limit at other places we have been. Overall, we are thinking of going back just for the mere fact that we felt the place was 'a little piece of heaven'.

This was the first stay (at a bed and breakfast) for myself and my girlfriend. The stay greatly exceeded our expectations. Ed and Kat (along with their animals) gave us a warm welcome. The house and surroundings were wonderful! The bountiful breakfasts certainly did not leave you hungry. We also enjoyed the fresh baked cookies and fruits left for our enjoyment in the evenings. We enjoyed the natural surroundings and walking among the farm animals. Cider Mills House is definitely a place we will visit again. We both highly recommend this B&B to anyone! Great job Ed & Kat! You made our stay most enjoyable!

Just returned from Christmas Eve with Kat and Ed at the Cider Mill House. What a wonderful experience. We felt like we were living history with the room surroundings and the tales told by Kat and Ed. And the food! Wow...how yummy. Do yourself a favor and drop in.

We spent a very enjoyable weekend at Cider Mill House. The pictures on the web site only begin to give you an idea of what a beautiful place it is. It's very secluded and peaceful but not at all hard to get to. The rooms are very nice and Ed and Kat are wonderful hosts. Perhaps the most important thing to us... my wife needs to have a gluten-free diet and Ed went to great lengths to make sure that the meals were safe for her to eat. He even had gluten-free afternoon cookies! Cider Mill House is definitely a place that we plan on coming back to.

My wife and I are very picky about where we stay. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here in the past 3 months. Ed and Kat continue to exceed our expectations. The rooms are very comfortable, the food good and plentiful, and the setting is very relaxing. Ed once again used me as a guinea pig to try a new recipe. Another winner. Definitely will go back. On another note: If you are interested in Real Estate, this is the place to go. Ed is also a REALTOR. He can feed you breakfast in the morning, then show you homes in the afternoon. A winning combination !!!

My wife and I were looking for a quiet getaway for our anniversary. We found it. This B&B is surrounded by farmland. Wake up in the morning to the birds singing, the goats baa-ing and the cows mooing. Take a walk in the woods after Ed and Kat fill you with a large breakfast. You may see deer or wild turkeys if you're quiet. Ed used us as guinea pigs to try out a new recipe for breakfast. We both loved it. Our room was very comfortable. We had a very relaxing stay. Will definitely be back.

We came upon the Cider Mill House when planning a B&B outing in October of last year. Needless to say, this little B&B is a wonderful escape and provides a unique experience to inn seekers. The residence is nestled on a wide swath of wooded and farming land which, unlike many B&B's, avails the traveler to large open spaces. The house itself is well maintained, clean and private and it is common to see deer trek through the rolling green plains. It is the perfect respite at the beginning or end of a trip and Ed and Kat were wonderful hosts.
