    A fun time! Daryl was very welcoming and helpful, and his raspberry muffins are without a doubt the best of their kind! Congratulations! My lukewarm endorsement of the room applies only to the little Iris room in which we stayed ( the other rooms were fully booked; we saw them, and they are wonderful). I''m six feet two inches, and that doesn't work well when trying to walk around in a room whose roof is a dormer. I had to be kinda careful. Regardless, this is a comfortable place. We felt totally at ease here, wandering about, playing (not very well) the grand piano, lounging in the public rooms. Enjoy!

    Great Seattle Location

    If you want to stay outside of the downtown core, and enjoy exploring smaller & unique communities, the Bacon Mansion is worth considering. Just blocks from some great restaurants and within walking distance of interesting one-of-a-kind shopping. Bacon Mansion is a beautifully restored home; Daryl is a charming host. Light sleepers should be aware that noises travel, especially plumbing. Inquire about rooms that might be on a "less travelled" route than the Rose Room. J & P, Victoria, BC

    We arrived late and our key had been placed under the door mat with the porch light on-just like home! The stay in the carriage house was a great way to start off our visit to Seattle! The coffee in our room was ready to go-just flip the switch! We truly enjoyed the patio...hummingbirds and all!

    Our family of four loved the capitol room. It was large enough to give our family some room to relax. The breakfasts were delicious and just enough to get us on our way each day. Daryl the proprietor was very accomodating and helpful. Even on the days we left early for skiing or fishing, he would make sure something was left in our room to eat before we left. The area is very nice to take a walk or just enjoy the beautifull homes nearby. We like staying north of the city to be able to travel without getting in to all the city traffic. And also not paying for parking each night.

    I loved The Bacon Mansion, My room was lovely, the whole house is welcoming, as was Daryl who greeted me. My only complaint would be the breakfast was much less than stated. There was no cereal or juice offered as advertised, and the coffee was much too weak for my liking. I will return, but I'll bring my own one cup coffee maker and something for breakfast. Other than that...big thumbs up!

    I appreciate the review but it took me awhile to figure out that the guest sat down at the table for breakfast with their back to the sideboard with all the food and just never realized that it was there. I assumed they just didn't want any as is sometimes the case as they never said anything. I try and make coffee a strength that appeals to the greatest number of guests. I encourage guests to ask if they need anything and will do my best to accommodate them. Look forward to seeing this guest in the future.

    Stayed in in early August with other out of state friends. Loved the homey atmosphere. Daryl was very accommodating. Went out of his way to check sunset for an even more enjoyable dinner at the needle. Breakfast was healthy and generous. Location was central, and safe. Love Broadway st. We will definitely stay again. Thanks so much!!!!!!!!

    This B&B sits on a corner in a charming residential neighborhood in Seattle. A short 2-mile walk into the city. I love walking but there's also a convenient bus two blocks away. Our room was large, clean and the bed was heaven. A free standing tub and shower with robes. What more could one ask for. The owner has traveled extensively so he knows what people need. The house is large with many rooms for relaxation and reading - they even have a piano. Weather permitting, even an cozy outdoor area to sit. Large dining room for breakfast, serving the best warm, homemade muffins in town. For those who only like morning coffee, left on a quaint table outside the rooms - early so one can get out and get going. It's just like being at home.
