    Early spring stay

    Overall not bad. Fairly close to the downtown area so we were able to walk which was very nice. Room was small but had everything we wanted. Breakfast was standard, but nothing really fancy or memorable.

    Innkeeper was very helpful in recommending excellent restaurants, interesting events, and great activities. Rooms were well appointed, food was great, and there was a very well equipped game room for evening relaxation. Antique lovers will enjoy the wide variety of exquisite antiques from all over the world.

    Warm and Cozy

    It was so warm and cozy! We even had a balcony outside off the back of our room, a sittign area, gas fireplace, 2 TVs, a wetbar and refrigerator. Wonderful service and hospitality! Thank you to the staff for a delicious breakfast too! The Edwards' from Wake Forest, NC

    A wonderful getaway

    A wonderful experience - Ike was warm and the home inviting. It was so much more than any B&B we'd stayed at before. The home was filled with wonderful things to enjoy and the warmth of the host added to the setting. Many more amenities than we ever expected - and the location was perfect. Thank you for a memorable stay.

    Outstanding by Any Measure

    My wife and I spent two nights at Williamsburg Sampler B&B. It was a charming place, well furnished and comfortable. Everything was clean. Our room was large and well appointed with a comfortable king sized bed. The breakfast was substantial and more than ample, and we enjoyed conversation with other guests around a common table. Our host, Ike, was amiable and most helpful in making recommendations on how to get about Williamsburg.

    A Warm Visit to Colonial Williamsburb

    My husband and I stayed at the Sampler last weekend. We were greeted warmly by the host, Ike who served only as host. The first morning Ike's daughter, who runs another b & b in town as well as a catering business stopped by to whipped up some scrambled eggs along with melon, skillet cooked potatoes and a store bought coffee cake. The next morning the house keeper served the scrambled eggs, cooked apples and bacon grits. Coffee ran out after first rounds for the 6 to 8 guests both mornings. We search for more at the Market Square after breakfast. We stayed in the Captain John Smith suite and found it decorated with dark wood furniture. The bathroom was very small, a tight fit for my husband, but presentable and clean. What I liked most was the gas fireplace in the sitting room. It was cold during our visit and it was nice to thaw out near the fireplace in the evenings. I didn't care for the artificial plants on the porch, but liked the space provided. For anyone looking for a comfortable, clean place to stay, the Sampler would fit the bill.

    Attention to service appreciated!

    I recently stayed at the Sampler. I had an issue shortly after arriving. "Ike" the owner didn't hesitate and offered me another suite. He told me all that he was interested in was my happiness. We had no issues from that point on. Ike was a gracious and helpful host. The suite was comfortable and interesting. The breakfast was filling and both I and my wife enjoyed it and the conversation with the owner. The B and B is close to the historic section of Williamsburg which made visiting Williamsburg easy. I would recommend this B and B to anyone coming for a short or long stay. Jeff F.

    Williamsburg Sampler B&B

    My wife and I enjoyed our stay immensely at the Williamsburg Sampler. Our host Ike, was warm, friendly and accommodating. He was always at the ready with interesting pieces of information about events and history in the area. Our room, with a private bath, had a wonderful old world charm. We had wonderful conversations around the breakfast table with the two other couples staying at the B&B. The conversation was only surpassed by the food which was expertly prepared by Ike each morning. We heartily recommend the Williamsburg Sampler for any travelers in the Colonial Williamsburg area.
