The Garland's home is a perfect base for a trip to Williamsburg. It is pleasant walk to the historic district or the campus. We planned a quick trip just to see the holiday decorations which turned into a special experience. Fred and Jane decorate their home beautifully and they provide a wonderful breakfast. They were not responsible for the beautiful snow that turned the Duke of Gloucester Street into a wonderland. However, if you wanted snow to make your visit special, I'm sure they would try to accommodate your need.

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending five nights at this wonderful B&B. Jane and Fred are not your typical guesthouse owners, they really do make you feel welcome and at home. Kudos must be given for the exemplorary attention to detail throughout the house, from the fine linens to the wonderful ever changing home cooked, to order, breakfasts prepared by Jane. Nothing is too much trouble for either of these hosts, Fred, who has a great sense of humor, is a well of information about the locale, dining, transportation etc, etc,. Exceeded all our expectations,

This B&B is located about a 15 minute walk to Colonial Williamsburg museum. Off the main drag, it is quiet and has been beautifully renovated by the current owners. Fred and Jane have been in the hospitality business a long time and their experience shows in their attention to detain and the friendly, relaxed atmosphere they have created. Although recent transplants, the innkeepers are well versed in local attractions and transportation options. A car is not necessary if you are planning to stay within the Yorktown, Jamestown, Williamsburg triangle. I would certainly stay here again. MD - Portsmouth, NH
