  • Our 1732 manor house was built the year George Washington was born. Crooked doors, creaky floors, and unrivaled rest and relaxation... that's Prospect Hill!
    Cottage del sovrintendente 1720 con soleggiata soggiorno, camera da letto Queen con lavoro camino, bagno moderno Jacuzzi doppia, coperto di portico e aprire anche ponte affacciata sulla piscina.
    Casolare del SANCO viola, preferito degli sposi come esso è circa 100 metri dalla casa padronale in una molto privato l'impostazione, la regina bedroom with double Jacuzzi bagno e lavorando caminetto, sala soggiorno e portico anteriore con vista panoramica, il sole che sorge di fronte.
    Stanza della Miss Marcie nella casa padronale con poster letto e salotto soleggiato, camino del lavoro, l'armadio solo nel maniero dove si trovava la chiocciola ex dal piano inferiore e bagno con vasca/doccia. Questa camera è stata ridecorata con pareti blu scuri e il bianco TrimBox che riflettono lo schema di colore originale come nel 1840 quando questa ala è stato aggiunto il maniero 1732 originale.
    La cabina di log originale costruito ca. 1699, conosciuto come Cabin il ragazzo per quando Roger Thompson, il colono originale in Virginia centrale, sposò una vedova con figli che vi hanno vissuto e costruito un cottage più grande appena adiacente per se stessi. Questa cabina è stato usato continuamente da allora come una scuola, poi come schiavo quarti, deposito versato e come foresteria. Questa cabina è molto piccolo con full size antico letto, camino del lavoro, moderno doppia vasca Jacuzzi e ponte privata affacciata sulla piscina.
    La cucina originale costruito nel 1720 e ininterrottamente fino al 1920 quando una moderna cucina è stato aggiunto il maniero. Il camino cucina originale con 5 ft da 5 ft di apertura è stato modificato mediante la chiusura di questo da usare come un normale caminetto. Le travi carbonizzate di soffitto e parete sono tutti originali e il letto è ora al livello principale anziché il soppalco dove il cuoco ha dormito una volta. Ora con bagno Jacuzzi moderno e piccolo portico affacciato un pascolo sereno.
    Il piano inferiore di stanza in sede di zio Guy, l'originale schiavo quarti ca.1796 con re letto, divano, doppia vasca Jacuzzi e ponte privato che domina l'ex pascoli e l'antico cimitero di schiavi.

    The original Carriage House (circa 1850) once housed our guest's horses and carriages. Our largest cottage, it now boasts a king bed, a sitting area, private bath with double Jacuzzi tub, and a secluded outdoor deck with outstanding pond views.

    Still Our Favorite B&B

    My wife and I just spent another wonderful long weekend at Prospect Hill. Sanco Pansy’s Cottage is delightfully secluded, the fireplace burned warm and bright (keep a window open a “hair”), and the breakfasts (delivered to our room!) could have only been a bit better had there been a cozy on the tea pot. We love the dinners served in the main house and the gorgeous (in any season) tranquil countryside. At our request the new owners arranged for us to receive massages in our room and they have already begun to better maintain and improve the property – can’t wait to get back again!!

    The Best B&B or Inn Experience ever!

    This 1772 restored wheat plantation is the most fascinating place to be entertained. The property is naturally beautiful, the food absolutely delicious, the rooms historically interesting, and the service so gracious. We have stayed here several times in the past and wish to return very soon!

    This is an amazingly beautiful property. My husband and I visited in late September and we had a wonderful time. The innkeepers were so welcoming. We felt like part of their family. My husband literally did not want to leave. In addition to the great food, beautiful quarters and gorgeous views. there are many animals including chickens, cats, dogs and horses. This was our favorite B&B on our trip and we are hoping to visit again in 2013!!!

    Romantic Getaway

    Prospect Hill is one of our favorite places to get away to, located in Virginia wine country and not far from Charlottesville. The Sheehan family knows what hospitality really is and makes their guests feel very welcome. Wine and dessert is in your room when you arrive. We have stay in the Summer's Kitchen at least four times or more very cozy and comfortable. The stand out of this inn is dinner. Everyone eats together and the food is excellent!!!! We have never ever had a disappointing dinner or breakfast. We will always keep coming back!!! AP/LP Suffolk VA

    A Wonderful Way To Spend The Weekend!

    Like many people, my husband and I lead extremely busy lives. Prospect Hill was a delight from the moment we walked in. It was truly relaxing. The food was fabulous. The rooms were clean and well decorated. Beds were unbelievably comfortable, which is essential for us. Wow, breakfast in bed. Can't remember the last time I had breakfast in bed. We took our time and walked the grounds. We walked to the pond and just sat on the bench in a hurry to do nothing but enjoy the scenery. Headed back again this weekend for a different kind of trip. It will be our hub for other activities, such as golf and a college football game. I was hoping to have time for the vineyards and Monticello, which was what we did on our first trip. I think that next time will visit downtown Charlottesville at Christmas time. There are tons of museums. Well, today is Wednesday. Just a couple more days to go. Hope everyone reading this post enjoys Prospect Hill as much as I do.

    Historical and Beautiful

    We took a weekend in October to spend at Prospect Hill and it was just beautiful. We stayed in the main house and the room was large and very comfortable. The fruit basket, cookies and bottle of wine that greeted us was a really nice touch. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food! The nightly dinners that were served were absolutely wonderful and the wine choices were a perfect compliment to the meal. High praise go to the chef! The innkeeper was so personable and knowledgeable regarding the history surrounding the plantation. He really made the trip interesting for us. I absolutely loved everything about our stay and we will definitely plan to return.

    Beautiful place -Excellent Food

    We went here in November 2007. We loved the quaint and isolated cottage away from the main house. Stocked and cut firewood for the fireplace created a romantic atmosphere. The dinner and breakfast were excellent . Well pepared and well presented. The cottage was a little rustic - but we were in "the country", I think it's supposed to be a little rustic in the country. Would recommend this place - it's serence, in the middle of nowhere , yet fine dining and food.
