We traveled to the WilloughVale Inn and Cottages in the off-season on purpose for some R & R. We stayed in the Robert Frost lakeside cottage and were thrilled with it! It was cool and blustery while we were there, and the waves rolling into the shore right in front of us were very soothing! We took a couple of hikes (Mount Hor, South Shore Hiking Trail at the end of Lake Willoughby and Wheeler Pond), and my husband cooked for us in the fully-equipped kitchen. The vibe of the cottages is rustic, and that is exactly what we wanted. Gas fireplace, full-view glass windows along the front, and nobody around!

I enjoyed my week stay at the Willough Vale Inn however, having no dining facilities made it cumbersome., Other than the lack of dining facilities, my stay there was perfect.,
