We had a lovely time at this charming and beautiful spot. It was very clean and the friendliness of the staff was over the top. Very helpful in getting us situated and settled in. Lots of amenities in the room and a very comfortable bed. I'd stay again for sure.

I thought this place was great! lovely, clean and comfortable rooms. They had a fantastic group of staff members who were friendly, professional and very helpful in providing good information to help us find our way around the area. I will recommend to family and friends and would certainly stay here again.

Typical New England budget hotel rooms, with a very nice historic lobby and restaurant. The rooms aren't at all luxurious but perfectly comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Stowe Inn for a Valentine's Day get-away. We were very pleased with the experience. The Inn is in a lovely old building with a very cozy and comfortable feel. It is located within walking distance of the "village" of Stowe, which we liked because we walked to dinner. Our room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The price is quite reasonable for such a nice place right in Stowe. I will go there again and recommend it as well. We did stay in the main inn, so I can't speak to the "economy" rooms in the other building. Also: we booked and paid for our reservation through bedandbreakfast.com. When we arrived, the inn was overbooked for the type of room we wanted, but solved it by offering us a free upgrade to a suite! So we ended up in room 201, which has a fireplace and a jacuzzi! Needless to say, we were very happy with this turn of events and had an even more cozy and romantic stay than we had expected. But I would recommend that if you book through this website you also give the inn a call to confirm.

I was really looking forward to our stay at a quaint B&B in Stowe. The pictures looked very appealing. However, I stay was a bit disappointing. When we checked in we were assigned to a different room because the party that was in our room the night before decided to stay another night. The room we were moved into did not have a working heater, so we had to move to another smaller room with a smaller bed. However, it had a dripping fauset that created enough noise that we asked if it could be fixed. The person at the desk said there was no maintenance person available to fix it so she tried to move us to another room, but that room had just a tiny TV wo we decided to stay in the room with the noisy drip. It never was fixed. I paid about $270 for the room and I thought it was worth no more than $70 at the most. Maintenance and minimal staffing appear to be problems. In addition it was billed as a B&B and we thought we would be getting a hot meal. The breakfast consisted of two kinds of dry cereal, some marginal fruit, and assorted dry breads. It was worse than the type of meal you get at a Days Inn or Motel 8. I would say over-rated, over-priced, and marginal.

We apologize for the dripping faucet. This has been fixed. We were unable to fix it that night due to needing to turn the water off. We will replace the tv asap. We do offer a continental breakfast with fruit, danish, waffles, cereal, yogurt, coffee and juice. We aer offering a hot brekafast starting in December. WE hope you will come back and stay with us to see these changes.

We stayed in the carriage house. The room was comfortable except that the heat was turned up very high and wasn't adjustable. The people who work in the main house were very friendly and we were surprised how good the entrees were in the tavern.

Perfect little Inn. The room was very clean and well upkept. The staff was very helpfull. The food and bar were great. Great location. Worth every penny!! I will likely go back every year during the ski season.

This place gets you to the heart of Stowe. Walkable to shops, galleries, restaurants etc. etc.. Hard to beat the price for Stowe lodging. We stayed in the motel side this time. Rooms were adequate but dated and could definitely use some TLC. I'm actually surprised that they don't renovate and hike the rates significantly; but I'm glad they don't. I like this as an option and can stay elsewhere if I want luxury. I'd rather make multiple trips to a mediocre (but clean) room than blow all my money on a single trip to Stowe. One suggestion, keep the fireplace going all day in the living room of the Inn. Don't skimp there. You have it, use it. Enjoy your tripe to Stowe ~

Thank you for your kind remarks. We are in the process of renovating our rooms in the Carriage House/Motel Building. We will continue to offer these rooms at the present low nightly rates to accommodate our budget conscious guests. Regarding our beautiful living room fireplace; in order to be more energy efficient the fireplace will turn its self off automatically if it does not detect movement in the living room for ten minutes. Our guests can turn it on anytime they like, just ask the front desk to show you the switch. Again thank you.

We recently stayed at the Stowe Inn in the Economy motel building. The reservationist was very honest in saying that the motel rooms were older and needed some work, but they fit our budget. They were clean - you could definately see that much and yes they do need work. But we were welcomed to make ourselves at home in the main inn's cozy living room with couches and chairs and a fireplace. I was offered coffee or tea as I sat and read my book while my husband was at a meeting in town. Then for dinner the Tavern was Fanastic, it has a great village view and the menu had everything from chicken wings to Sweet potato crusted Salmon done to perfection. Everyone was so nice too. Thank you so much

We recently stayed at The Stowe Inn during the beautiful New England Foliage season. To our suprise we found that the Inn boasts a wonderful restaurant. My wife could not stop raving about it. We ate there every night of our stay. The Inn itself was 100% Old New England style. Antiques and period reproductions greeted us in our room. Staff were pleasant and very helpful, providing us with suggested places to "leaf peep". Over all a very nice stay.
