  • Bedroom one at Avenues House Bed and Breakfast.

    Built in 1893 out of adobe bricks our house is one of the oldest in the Avenues and it was built as a sister house by a doctor for one of his families. The house has been restored and is very cozy. We are a bed and breakfast home-stay. Guests stay on their own floor upstairs and have a private bath. The focus of Avenues House is to provide comfortable and affordable housing to family members of hospital patients admitted to one of many hospitals located in the area. We are conveniently located one block from the #6 bus that services LDS, University and Children’s Hospitals. This bus will also take you downtown where it links with all the other transit in Salt Lake City and to the ski shuttle buses. We are 15 minutes from the Airport and 30-40 minutes away from Park City and Big and Little Cottenwood canyons. If not occupied by medically related guests our accommodations are available to other guests on a first come first served basis. Our total capacity is four people. A couple with two children is ideal. Breakfast is included and snacks are always available. Contact me for more pictures and further information.

    Great Place to Stay

    I recently stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights. The location of the house is not too far from downtown Salt Lake City. If you don’t have a rental car, you can find public transportation very easily around Avenues House. The view around Avenues House is fantastic. You can almost see the whole Salt Lake valley from a near by park, Lindsay Park. The owner is very hospitality and friendly. Breakfast meal is really yummy! The room is very neat and clean and the location is very quite! I highly recommend Avenues House!!!

    My Home away From Home

    I arrived very late at night with a 4 hour delay and was met by Lisa insisting I just couldn't get home any other way. I have a wonderful hot breakfast (if I want it) every day I stayed there, fresh fruit everyday and a wonderful smiling happy hostess. Chris was wonderful also but I spent most of my time when home with Lisa. Lisa drove me downtown most days and picked me up somedays, but the bus was very easy to catch with it being one block away as well. They are just like part of my family now, oh and I stayed 7 days and want to come back again.

    Perfect Stay!

    My wife and I recently stayed here for skiing and a bit of Sundance. Of the ~20 B&Bs we've stayed over the years, this place is in our top 3. Quality, service, and value were amazing. 30-45min from most mountains was also nice for us. Bedroom was great, clean and spacious. Bed was very comfy, out like a light (and we have a deluxe tempurpedic at home). Bathroom was huge and luxurious; a nice bonus after a long day of skiing. Hospitality/Service exceeded all expectations. Tasty food, but most importantly, a host who is very friendly and gracious. To give an example, Lisa went well out of her way to get hard to find tickets to Sundance, 3 weeks before hand. We are already looking forward to out next stay. Thanks again! Edward and Casey

    Delightful!!

    My boyfriend & I recently stayed at The Avenues for a ski holiday. The house is very nicely restored, & the room we stayed in was very cozy & comfortable. It is located in a quiet residential area which is just a short drive from downtown Salt Lake, and about 30 minutes from most ski resorts. The Innkeeper was very helpful & informative, and we particularly enjoyed breakfast. After a long day skiing, it was so nice to return to quiet & cozy house for a relaxing evening. It was truly delightful!
