We recently selected Springhill for a wedding. Eddie and Carolyn provided the rehearsal dinner...it was exceptional. Our out of town family stayed at the B & B and were more than thrilled with the charm and accommodations. The pictures don't do justice to this lovely B & B! I believe this is a "must do" if traveling to the area. The breakfast was amazing and the price was a great value! I am so very happy with how everything turned out. Be sure to check out the wines too! The Plantation White is now a favorite of mine!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Springhill Bed and Breakfast. If is conveniently located just off the Bluegrass Hwy making it a good location if doing any Bourbon tours and tastings in Bardstown or Lexington area. Eddie and Carolyn go out of their way to make you feel like you are not only guests but friends. We had only planned for a one night stay but after a family emergency came up, we had to delay our trip by a day and then extended our stay with them for another day.Eddie was so wonderful to allow us to change our mid-week reservation by a day and we were quite glad we stayed for an extra day. Being the only guests our first night, Eddie gave us a tour of the magnificent historic home. So I can tell you, the rooms look virtually as pictured. We stayed in the Merlot suite and the other king suites are equally as spacious. Seeing as you have access to a seating room (only room with a TV) in the house, you don't have to feel like you have to spend all your time in your room. All the guest rooms are on the second floor and you will have to take your luggage up the staircase (as pictured), so don't over pack! The table at the base of the stairs was stocked with baked goods the entire time we were there. Upstairs there is a small fridge with bottled water. Coffee and tea are set up in the morning on a table in the upstairs hallway for all to partake prior to 8:30am breakfast. The breakfasts were all wonderful - so many choices, all delicious! We were so well fed that we only ate two meals a day - breakfast and dinner. Free WiFi is also provided. Hosts are a great resource for places to visit and to go eat as well as history of the area.

If you love hearing stories and all enjoying breakfast together you will love this B&B. Room was spacious. Our room was large but had some traffic noise from highway but was the only room on that side of the building. Nice having bath of our own--a privacy door or curtain for the bath would have been our preference. Good value for central location and very gracious owners. Wine is good too!

This place is a gem! If you love history and attention to historic details, then this is the place for you! The history of the place is brought to life by the property's knowledgeable owners. The accommodations are lovely and have been carefully planned for your stay. You will want for nothing and will leave weighing a few pounds more. There are homemade sweets put out for you as well as coffee and tea. The breakfast is heavenly! In the evening, you will want to have a glass...or bottle....of their wines. There are so many wonderful ones to choose from, you might have to buy several! The property is a few miles from town, so you will be able to enjoy the beautiful quiet countryside. Wake up in the morning to sunshine, rows of grapes, fields of Kentucky blue grass, and abundant trees. Perhaps the best part of your stay here is the owners! You will enjoy talking with them and learning about the property as well as the local area. You will have a lovely time here!

We join some friends for our stay. They had never been to a bed and breakfast before and now they're hooked. We had an outstanding stay. The breakfasts for un forgettable. The food was great and the company better. The inn keepers told us stories about the history of the property and the area, their winery. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable even without tv. We really enjoyed ourselves and would go back again. They are right in the middle of Bourbon Trail and Bardstown is only 15 min. away with restaurants, shopping, as the Kentucky Dinner Train.

They are the most wonderful, kind and considerate people I've had the pleasure to meet in a long time. We had an accident outside of Indy on the way down consequently we arrived very late. They stayed up for us and made us sandwiches to eat and gave us a bottle of wine to "help relax from the stress". Well, the vine, Riesling, was great and it did it's job, we bought a case. Room was big, bed/pillows wonderful, and breakfast was great. They shared local history and history about the house over the meal, wonderful. Growing up out west and living in Chicago, I wasn't aware how much local history and area history there is down here, what a great opportunity to gain a better perspective. Great house, great food, great piece of history and great vine - made for wonderful relaxing stay. We will return. Great hosts made it all come together, thank you Eddie and Carolyn.

We have stayed in many B & B 's over the years and this ranks in the top! The home, hospitality and food were very good, but the hosts make it an awesome experience. Our room was well appointed and comfortable. The best part of our visit was hearing the history of the home from our hosts at breakfast each morning. Looking forward to the next time we can visit that area!

My husband surprised me with a wonderful anniversary trip to the Springhill Plantation Winery B & B. I was so excited to have a relaxing weekend .We made last minute reservations and our accommodations were very comfortable. The sun rise in the morning was so beautiful. The breakfast was amazingly delicious both days. Eddie and Carolyn were very gracious hosts and eager to meet any needs that may arise. We hope to return in the fall for the harvest. We highly recommend this B & B if you are doing a KY Winery Tour.

We had a wonderful time with Eddie and Carolyn. My wife and I are both teachers, and we wanted to take a little vacation on our spring break, before our baby was born. We found the Springhill Winery B & B really beautiful and comfy, which was good, because there was a 12-18 inch snow our first night, so we got stuck at the B & B all the next day. Eddie and Carolyn made all our meals for us, and quite elaborate ones at that. The food was absolutely delicious, and we had a lot of fun watching movies, reading books, and just soaking in the atmosphere at the house. We also really enjoyed talking with Eddie and Carolyn about their families and the history of the Bardstown region. The only downside was the in-room bathroom, which was open and didn't have a door. It wasn't a terrible problem for us, but we did prefer to use the downstairs bathroom sometimes. The other rooms (we were in the Chardonnay) are a little bigger, so I think it would be less awkward there. But I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this wonderful place to others and to return there myself.
