My husband and I statyed for the weekend and were charmed! The suite was immaculate even though this is in the country. It was 110 outside during our stay and the room was cool and comfortable. No ac issues for my stay. We asked for sIme dining suggestions and got some great info. We have booked again.

We stay here at least twice a year and love it! I am fixing to book again for the third time this year and just read the review below and cannot believe that someone would write such negative things about this room. The room is always clean and we stayed here when it was 110 in August and had no issues with the AC. If we needed anything we would go next door to the wonderful jewelry store and ask the sweet lady Mary and she would get it for us. She was very attentive to us asked if we needed anything several times during our stay. Don't usually do reviews but I love this place and would hate for others to miss out because of one negative review. I travel with my job so I stay in a lot of nice places but when my husband says get in the car let's go to Salado I can't wait to get there! Keep doing what your doing we LOVE your place!

I'm fairly easy to please, but this place is terrible! Looks very nice on the net but has major problems! Start with incessant 18 wheeler noise from the nearby highway all day and all night. Add in a mattress that has a huge crater in it's center coupled with firm pillows to give your spine just the right contortion. Couple in insufficient A/C that takes 6 hours just to get room temp down to a reasonable 75 F! Top it all off without absolutely no one on site for zero customer service! And just now, my GF just pointed out a roach I must have stepped in the night! LOL. Go somewhere else, never again!

This is the perfect place to stay and get away from the daily routine! I have stayed here over the years and every time it is better!
