My husband and I (Young couple, in our 30's) decided at the last minute to take a quick trip to Jefferson on a Saturday and Sunday stay...the place is amazing. The main house is beautiful...We were greeted by the owner who was VERY hospitable the ENTIRE stay. We stayed in the Tuscan suite which was very nice and cozy. Walk in to a sitting room with an electric fireplace. The bed was VERY comfortable with the down comforters and pillows. A tv/dvd/vcr player was also in the room with a large selection of movies provided in the main house. The bathroom was VERY clean and spacious with a 2 person garden tub, and a 2 person, 2 shower head stand up shower separately. Breakfast each morning was phenomenal! Started with water, orange juice, coffee, then a starter like yogurt and granola, then the main breakfast, and finished off with a breakfast dessert.....So our stay was great and I would DEFINITELY recommend staying here....The owner and her daughter were very sweet, and hospitable and was helpful with information about the city, restaurants, and activities. Awesome B&B!!

We enjoyed our stay ivery much in one of the cottages at the old Mulberry Inn. The room was nicely decorated, very clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious with a two person garden tub and a two person shower. The front porch of the cottage has a wooden swing. A very nice place in the cool of the evening or early in the morning to enjoy the beautiful flowers and trees decorating the Inn grounds. The breakfest was wonderful along with the dessert at the end...yes dessert! If you are planning on staying in historic Jefferson, Texas....treat yourself to the old Mulberry Inn.

We recently made a trip to Jefferson and stayed at the Old Mulberry Inn. What a wonderful surprise when we entered the house, it was so much more beautiful than one would have imagined when first driving up. We were greeted and shown the snack and wine area and the lovely dining room where we had great breakfasts the next 2 days, We booked California Dream'n and it was just as gorgeous as it was on line which is not always the case. I think our favorite part of the house was the back porch and swing. We closed out both days in the swing petting a tailless resident cat. We don't enjoy a lot of fussing so the Inn Keepers are just hand on enourh for us. My husband would have liked some fresh baked cookies but We still give the Old Mulberry Inn a big thumbs up and highly recommend it. Oh yes the bed linens were magnificent and I am a linen snob
