Inn on the River

We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at the Inn. The Inn provided us with the R&R we so richly needed and deserved. Our stay was all we could have asked for.....

When stress is overwhelming, run away. We did, and found peace by the river. We also found the owners and their staff to be magnificent. They saw to it that we wanted for nothing throughout our stay. I cannot complement the chef enough, the food was gourmet quality. It was as good as any that we have found at B&B's, and leaps and bounds better than most. Friday and Saturday nights, they serve an evening meal, by reservation only. The care and keeping of the Inn and the grounds was outstanding. We lounged on one porch, and rocked on another to the soft sounds of nature. Oh, we found peace by the river...

My fiance and I have stayed numerous times at the Inn and we always look forward to going back. The staff is very nice and the rooms are always in perfect shape. Very nice for a weekend getaway.

Great food, nice rooms, great entertainment! Will recommend and will be back.

We wanted a great, stress free place to have our wedding and Inn On the River made it just that. The staff, rooms and setting was five star, as well as the breakfast and dinner. We had the best Big Day and wouldn't change a thing. The Huntingtons

We stayed in a "King Room". It was roomy with a very nice bath. No TV but that was great. The grounds are beautiful and would have been even more beautiful if the Paluxy River had been flowing. Would like to go again when it is not so dry. The food and service was great. We had a delicious 4-course dinner and a gourmet breakfast. Homemade cookies are available in the foyer in the evening. It was quite and very restful and peaceful. I would definitely stay there again.

The Inn on the River is beautiful & clean, and the staff is helpful & friendly. I have stayed here on 3 different occasions & have had a delightful time, each time!

The Girl's Night Out Package was marvelous. We ate, shopped, painted, and rested. The perfect girl's weekend.

We loved the Inn on the River. This is where my husband proposed to me. It will always have a special place in our hearts. He reserved a room for each of us, and they were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I loved the uniqueness of each room. The food was delicious....the first place I ever tried bread pudding. Even though this was a long time ago, we hope to come back and relive our experience there. It looks like it is even more beautiful now than when we were there, if that is possible. We would highly recommend this B&B for a romantic get-a-way.

We celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary at the Inn The staff was so very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nicely decorated. We stayed in the " Honeymoon Suite" which I think was a little larger room than the other rooms. We were served a gourmet breakfast and a delicious three course evening meal on Saturday night. There was an extra charge for the dinner meal. Will definitely stay at the Inn again.

We stayed a the Inn the weekend before Mother's Day. We arived Friday afternoon and stayed until Sunday. We had a thoroughly good time. The room decor is like my grandparent's house. Everything was clean, clean, clean....again just like my grandparent's house!!! The Friday night gourmet meal was extra,....BUT WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! If you don't participate in THAT meal, you're really missing out!!!! The sugar cookies were delicious and I bought the recipe book just to get that recipe! The staff were all exceptional and helpful!! The historical factor was a BIG plus for me. Glen Rose itself has a place in my heart.....my parents honeymooned in Glen Rose in 1953! If you love history, oustanding service, quiet atmosphere and out of this world food, this is your place!

Rooms beautiful, view amazing, food is out of this world, staff like family, will we go back ???? You bet on our first anniversary. 45 minutes from home but felt like we were in another world.

Each room is very nicely appointed. Bed's very comfortable with wonderful linens, I had a great time.

From start to finish our experience at Inn on the River was amazing. Our wedding although planned very quickly was attended to with every detail. We plan to return and recommend out stay at this one of a kind bed and breakfast. Truly a place of healing.

We love the Inn On The River...and have been going there for many years. We celebrated our daughter's wedding there, our son's prom reception, numerous dinners and nights away from home...It is absolutely lovely and the grounds are beautiful The tranquility of the river and being in such a historic inn is reason to return over and over! What a great get-a-way weekend! Thanks to the staff for all the attention to details.

26 years we have been driving from Dallas to Inn on the River,You immediately feel relaxation at its finest. and do enjoy their dinners .Food is delicious, picture perfect and service is always with a smile and a country feeling of charm.. You can take your own wine with no corkage fee....We are leaving to go there as soon as I finish writing this..as it is our country home away from our city home....Come join us.. Owners are Grand! My husband and I needed a getaway, and Inn on the River was the perfect place! From check-in to check-out, all of our needs were met. The staff was very friendly, and the food was out of this world! Breakfast each morning was so good, and I highly recommend having dinner at the Inn...delicious!!! Our room was beautiful and very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We loved how each room was decorated in beautiful antiques. The grounds at the Inn were peaceful and gorgeous...definitely just the place to unwind and relax! What a treat!

My wife and I stayed here for our 3rd anniv. It was a nice place, the people were friendly and the food was good. The service and cleanliness were excellent. The town of Glen Rose was very historic and just what we wanted. Our only complaint is that the rooms are small (10x10). We had to turn sideways to walk beside the bed (we are skinny people) - this made me feel like we were not getting a fair deal for our money.
