Wonderful Wedding Weekend
su settembre 10, 2015
My wife and I spent the weekend at the Ledford Mill Bed & Breakfast while in the area for a nephew's wedding. My wife was initially not too happy about staying 40 minutes away from the wedding and all its activities, but the beauty of the place, peacefulness, and conversation with John, Mildred, and Snickers (well, Snickers did not converse much, but listened and entertained very well!) quickly won her over. She was able to relax much more than she had thought possible, and wished we could stay a bit longer. The breakfasts were excellent as usual, the setting as lovely as ever, and John and Mildred bend over backwards to make you feel, not so much at home, but more like an honored guest. We both will be looking for another opportunity/excuse to visit here in the near future.

This place is wonderful! It is very rustic and charming. The waterfalls outside our room was so peaceful. My husband and I had the whole place to ourselves and we roamed the antique store while grabbing late night snacks from the kitchen. Homemade cake and cookies are always available and Snickers, the cat is always ready for some lovin from the guests. Our breakfast was amazing and our hosts made us feel right at home. We booked our next stay over breakfast!
Best day of my life!!!!

The best day of my life happened here. I thought I was meeting my girlfriend here for pictures, but when I arrived, she was standing by the waterfall in a beautiful wedding gown. I had asked her numerous times to marry me and she finally granted my wish. That vision of her lovely form framed by the beauty of the waterfall will forever be etched into my mind.
We stayed the night in the establishment and it was quite comfortable. The antique mill equipment and decorations were very interesting. I will definitely stay here many more times in the future. Thank you so much for your hospitality and generosity.
Unique & rustic B & B
su agosto 30, 2014
This B & B was definitely the most unique & rustic B & B that we have ever stayed in.It is an old grist mill & currently an antique shop as well as a B & B. We had a lovely suite with bed next to exposed wall, sitting room & nice bathroom. The best thing was the deck over a mountain stream that went under the mill. You could see waterfalls. It felt very relaxing & healthy.
The kitchen had fridge one could use & was stocked with ice cream. Cookies & cake were available. You sat in kitchen & it felt very homey.
The innkeepers, John & Mildred were very nice, accommodating &flexible. We arrived late & it was not a problem.
Mildred cooked us a nice breakfast & we sat & talked like old friends.
We would definitely return if in the area.
Fantastic, historical B&B!

The Ledford Mill B&B was wonderful! A very peaceful location, with clean rooms, comfy beds and yummy breakfast! John and Mildred are wonderful innkeepers and are very knowledagble of the area. Whatever you to want to do, they can guide you! A great location for waterfall hunting and visiting Jack Daniels and George Dickel distillaries. The B&B is living history! Take time to explore while you visit!

My wife and I stayed here for our 10th anniversary and couldn't have been happier. It is the perfect place to stay if you want a quiet peacefully getaway. The owners were the nicest people you could meet and enjoyed talking to them during breakfast
Great Rustic B&B Experience!
su settembre 03, 2013
My husband found this B&B online and was so impressed with all of the positive reviews, he booked us a room. I was a little hesitant because it did appear to be so rustic but it turned out that it what I loved the most about it! We stayed in the Loft which was so roomy and comfortable. We were able to meander down to the kitchen for late night snacks and peruse all of the interesting antiques and collectibles for sale. There were so many movies and eclectic reading material to choose from you don't have to worry about bringing your own. Both cats were so friendly and I couldn't help but let one of them in our room for the evening. Friday we ate dinner at Granny Fishes' (the catfish is great) and Mildred's french toast on Saturday morning was delicious. We enjoyed the conversation with John, Mildred and the other guests, we didn't want to leave! We are now looking at dates to reserve all three rooms with family.

This is our third visit to Ledford Mill and we had a great time, My wife and I met my Sister for the weekend and our planning on another trip. The Innkeepers, John and Mildred are great people, friendly, and Mildred makes a mean breakfast. We will be back!

My husband and I spent a couple of days at the mill and could not have been any happier with our decision to stay here. The rooms are rustic and full of history, the innkeepers are beautiful souls who shared their stories with us at breakfast and the area is just breathtaking. You can go to sleep to the sound of the waterfall and wake up to the smell of bacon cooking.
For those looking for a fancy B&B, this is not the place for you, however if you love the rich historic flavor that the mill provides, this is the place for you.
