B&B ALEX - RAMBLAS - PLAZA REAL

Superbement situe a cote de Las Ramblas, B&B tres beau, tres calme et Alex est un hote tres charmant, tres attentionne. Une tres bonne adresse.

We stayed here for 6 nights. We had a great time in Barcelona. The location is excellent. It is at a small quiet street parallel to Las Ramblas right outside Drassanes Metro station. If you see the Burger King restaurant then follow that little side street pass the Irish Pub and the Playground and turn left. From Cruise ship terminal you can catch the blue bus and get dropped off close to the Columbus Column which is also the closest stop to the Drassanes station. There's no need to pay a 20 euro cab ride.

We stayed for a short weekend in Alex B&B and were very satisfied with the service provided. Alex know his city and is very helpful. He gave us all the needed information on how to get to places and made some good suggestions on things we could do. Thank you Alex for being a great host! The house is kept tight and the bath was always clean. The apartment is very quite specially considering its great location. Definitely a place to recomend!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à Barcelone ainsi que la prestation d'hébergement dont nous avons bénéficié chez Alexandre. Très bien situé, il permet de faire une escale à tout moment de la journée. Beaucoup de charme, agencé avec goût et un propriétaire des plus sympathiques !

Abbiamo soggiornato io ed il mio fidanzato da Alex la seconda metà di aprile e dobbiamo dire che siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti! Alex è un ottimo padrone di casa, sempre cordiale e ospitale, che mette a completa disposizione il suo bellissimo appartamento. Situato in una traversa a pochi passi della parte finale delle Ramblas, vicino alla fermata della metro e da Plaza Reial. La nostra camera era molto confortevole, il bagno privato era distaccato da essa, situato nel corridoio, ma pulito e curato. La cucina offre la possibilità di preparare qualsiasi pasto, oltre la colazione inclusa nel prezzo. In conclusione consigliamo vivamente questo B&B!!!

When my wife and I decided to go to Barcelona on a romantic getaway, we searched high and low for a bed and breakfast that is central and affordable. We found that and much more in Alex's place. Walk out the 3-meter tall door of quiet building and you're literally steps away from the Rambla and Place Reial. It is also very close to Metro stops and the amazingly breathtaking Gothic Quarter which you can stroll for hours if not days. The accommodations were excellent, with a spotless, beautiful bathroom and shower in our room. The high ceilings adorned with a brick design are a wonderful touch, and the tall wooden doors in the house are so charming. What's more is that despite the central location, the place is super-quiet and safe with all the hubbub of Barcelona outside the building. We also had a kitchen at our disposal so you can go and buy food at the local markets and eat at the B&B if you so please. As well, there is wireless internet access and you can hang out in a beautifully furnished living room. All in all, Alex's place offers amazing value for those searching for a quiet, affordable, well-furnished spot in Barcelona.

Alex's apartment was lovely. He was so friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and quiet. The kitchen was fully accessible for meals and extremely organized and clean. Although Alex lives in the flat as well, I really felt like I was there alone most of the time. The location was perfect. One block to La Rambla, the Columbus Monument and the beach. I would definitely stay again! Thank you, Alex, for a great experience!

Ho soggiornato con una amica da Alex lo scorso ottobre. Ci siamo trovate davvero molto bene. Il B&B è in posizione centralissima, a due passi dalla Rambla, e, al contempo, in zona tranquilla. La camera era davvero molto confortevole ed il bagno privato pulito. Abbiamo apprezzato la possibilità di autogestire la cucina per la prima colazione. Alex è stato veramente molto cordiale e disponibile.

Generally I much prefer staying in B&B's to soulless hotels and this stay at Alex's was no exception. The B&B is very centrally located so it was an easy and inexpensive bus ride from the airport. Alex was there to greet us when we arrived, gave us a set of keys and explained breakfast was self service. The room we stayed in had a large and very comfortable bed, high ceilings and an en suite bathroom with a huge shower. Everything was impeccably clean, the location was incredibly central, the food and coffee provided for breakfast was great and Alex himself was as friendly and charming as could be. I would definitely recommend this B&B and certainly hope to return myself!

Sono rientrata ieri da Barcellona e ho soggiornato da Alex. Il B&B è in posizione centralissima e comoda per potersi muovere a piedi o con i mezzi, ed è realmente a due minuti a piedi dalla Rambla. Nonostante ciò, è molto silenzioso perchè le finestre (o almeno quella della mia camera) si affacciano su un cortile interno. Sia la camera che il bagno sono molto puliti, così come il resto del B&B. La cucina è grande e spaziosa, ed è ben rifornita :) Alex è stato molto gentile e disponibile, e se sceglierete di soggiornare qui non ve ne pentirete di sicuro. Ho trovato più comodo e pulito questo B&B di tanti hotel 2/3 stelle meno centrali e più cari in cui ho avuto modo di soggiornare altre volte, sia a Barcellona che in altre città!!

Ho soggiornato a Barcellona con un'amica per 5 notti. In pieno centro a 30 secondi dalla Rambla, posizione perfetta per visitare la città. La camera e iòl bagno erano perfettamente pulite! Alex, il proprietario, parla italiano benissimo ed è molto disponibile! La colazione è self.service e inoltre si ha a disposizione l'uso della cucina! Nel complesso ci siamo trovate davvero bene e sceglieremo di nuovo questo B&B in caso di ritorno a Barcellona.

For my dad's 60th birthday I gave him a trip to Spain, just the two of us. Barcelona was our final stop. Dad found Alex's B&B after days of searching online. Having been previously in Barcelona, I was very skeptical when my dad told me that he found a "quiet" apartment in the center of Barcelona, just steps away from the Ramblas and the Plaza Real. I said 'no way, i don't believe it's quiet, a bet there would be noise all night'. Well, I was proven wrong. We stayed at Alex's apartment for 3 days and had a fabulous time. Not only is it in the most amazing location with complete privacy and quietness at the same time, the apartment itself is just gorgeous! And on top of all that, Alex is a wonderful-wonderful host. He spent a lot of time with us explaining where to go, what to do, what not to do, drawing out maps, marking on them the best places to eat and so forth. We discovered real Barcelona and incredible food all thanks to Alex. For breakfast, Alex filled the fridge for us with all the main breakfast foods to chose from. We had a bathroom all to ourselves with no sharing and it was clean and comfortable. Same can be said about the room. Really, I could not recommend Alex's B&B enough! Perfect location, beautiful apartment, great accomodations, wonderful food and incredible host - can it get any better? Have fun in Barcelona! and say HI to Alex from me! Cheers, Olga

Une chambre d'hôte à 3 minutes des ramblas mais néanmoins calme, dans un ancien hotel particulier, décoré avec beaucoup de gout , de personalité et de charme, le tout, reflétant une époque loin de la standardisation Un hôte sympathique vous confie sa maison.... Aucun repas à part le petit déjeuner n'est servit

Nous avons passé 4 jours à Barcelone fin Mars et avons logé chez Alex, hôte à la fois sympathique, charmant et discret. Son B&B, au charme baroque, est très bien situé, au calme (car donnant sur une cour), proche du métro, et au carrefour de plusieurs quartiers Barrio Gotico, Ciutat Vella, Le Raval, Barceloneta, ce qui permet de découvrir la ville à pieds, et d'être proche des restaurants, boutiques, musées (ne ratez pas le palais Guell à 2 pas) . La chambre est grande et bénéficie d'une très belle hauteur sous plafond, ainsi que d'une salle d'eau et wc privatifs...idéale pour un séjour en amoureux!

B&B Alex, Barcelona My wife and I stayed for one week with Alex in June 2012 and had the most lovely time. Alex was very attentive to our needs and his flat is lovely decorated and very cosy. The B&B has literally just opened after a major refurbishment of the building, so all is new, yet decorated with character. I would imagine that one of the main reasons for people to choose a B&B rather than a hotel is to live in a more cosy and personal environment. Here B&B Alex really shines. Also, the flat could not be more centrally situated, right in the middle of Barri Gotic. The famous restaurtant Los Caracoles is around the corner. The iconic Las Ramblas is merely half a minute away by foot so getting around Barcelona simply could not be easier. The nearest underground station, Drassanes, is less than fine minutes away by foot. Despite being so centrally located, the flat is remarkably quiet, making the stay very pleasant. The flat has a large beautiful living room, a spatious kitchen, a guest room with separate toilet and bath, and a guest room with en suite bathroom. Each of the two rooms, therefore has its own bathroom and toilet, with one of the room taken up by the owner when not rented. Alex provides everything for a nice breakfast and it is convenitently left to the guests to take breakfast when they want. Whilst it may be possible to find cheaper rates, then the standard will most definitely be lower, or the location much less central. We can most definitely recommend B&B Alex and wish you a lovely time there as well. Carsten & Nora

We met Alex on May and we had a wonderful stay at his B&B. We have been very well received and our room and private bathroom were very nice. The most important: the location was just great. It is just next to the Plaça Reial but we didn't hear anything during the night! So, we sure recommand this place! Thank you, Alex!

A very charming and affordable B&B on a calm street in Barrio Gotico. The aparments interior makes a warm impression and together with the innkeeper really makes one feel at home at once! Highly recommended for a personal and central stay in Barcelona.

Our stay at this apartment was very satisfying. It was clean, quite, despite the fact of being in the heart of Barcelona, at only one minute from the Rambla! Alex hosted us with warmth and made us feel like at home. Five stars from us!
