    Vi sentirete subito a casa in questo Country Home Inn eleganti, confortevoli e ben arredate. Tutte le camere comode sono caminetti e ampio bagno privato camere, tutte con vasca idromassaggio idroterapia. L'impostazione pastorale è ideale per fughe romantiche e matrimoni.     Couldn't ask for more'

    Love this bed and breakfast! Johannes is an incredible host. We loved hearing about his history as well as the history of this lovely home. My daughter and I were on a road trip to check out colleges and after a looooong day on the road, what a restful haven we found at Kilburnie!! Our third floor walk up suite was spacious, lovely and incredibly relaxing. The therapy bathtub was a godsend for our tired bodies and we slept like babies in the comfortable beds! Breakfast was a delish three course gourmet affair, yum! Should we make our way back to Lancaster, this is where we will stay!!!!

    Fantastic Getaway!

    Last week we stayed in the Walkup room at the top of the house. It was gorgeous and perfectly appointed. The house and the grounds are lovely. the hotelier is world class. It's really a must visit if you're anywhere near Charlotte.

    The minute we met Johannes, and toured the property we knew we were home for the wedding. Johannes was genuine, warm and kind...gently encouraging and guiding us along the path until my daughter's beautiful wedding day. From the bridal portraits to the day of the wedding, he was most accessible, compassionate, kind and extremely knowledgeable. This graceful man, along with a very talented florist and caterer, presented my daughter with the wedding of her dreams. The Inn was beyond amazing and the breakfast so deliciously prepared, set the day on a cheerful note. Can't thank him enough, and hope everyone can experience Kilburnie at least once in their lifetime. Well worth the trip and more. Connie Robinson

    Highly Recommended! High-Brow European Hospitality in the South

    My wife Robyn and I stayed at Kilburnie for our 18th wedding anniversary. Johannes was OUTSTANDING! You could say he's a _master_ at providing hospitality. He went above and beyond to make our stay delicious and comfortable. You will not be disappointed with a stay at The Inn. He cares and you feel it. The house and grounds were lovely and the bed was uber-comfortable. Make sure you allow time to hike the trails--he's got lots of acreage.     Love this bed and breakfast! Johannes is an incredible host. We loved hearing about his history as well as the history of this lovely home.     What a find!

    Liked it so much we went back again. Rooms are large, beautifully furnished with TV, gas fireplaces, and air tubs. Beds are very comfortable. Innkeeper makes sure you enjoy your stay and breakfasts are a definite cut above. This is probably the best B&B we have ever stayed at despite it's reasonable price. Well worth a stop when in the Charlotte area.

    Exquisite

    We stayed overnight and wished it were forever. They mix antique and new furnishings with fabulous art in a down home manner -- no cutesy ceramic frogs or religious paraphernalia. Baked pears and blueberries started a breakfast of shirred eggs and a to-kill-for muffin. Craig farm history (from mid 1700s), renovation of Kilburnie house and back stories of art and furniture pieces are awesome. We stepped into history and experienced wonderful hospitality for sure. Best B&B ever, and we've been around.

    An absolute gem

    The innkeeper has rescued and move a beautiful old home from demolition. The results are incredible. It's beautiful and peaceful from the decor to the grounds. The rooms are well done with fireplaces, spa tubs, and Bose radios. There is not much to do in Lancaster but Charlotte and Columbia are about 45 mins away and this makes an excellent central point. We are going back soon.
