    Maggie and Gordon welcome you to their elegant Victorian family home only a 10 minute bus journey from all the main attractions the beautiful city of Edinburgh has to offer. We are also well positioned for visitors to the University of Edinburgh King's Buildings and Appleton Tower. The Highfield retains it's original character features and combined with modern comforts will make your stay both enjoyable and memorable. We offer a breakfast cooked to order with a variety of options. Guest rooms are equipped with flat screen TV radio alarm clock hairdryer hospitality tray toiletries and free WiFi. We are close enough to all of Edinburgh's attractions without having the inconvenience of not being able to park - our residential area has free on street parking. Also there are frequent and inexpensive bus services to all areas of the city. Our 4 star accommodation is completely non-smoking. If you require assistance in getting around Edinburgh to make the most of all this beautiful capital city has to offer or ideas on where to go to eat & drink. Maggie and her family will be only too happy to assist you.

Take the LRT Bus 42 (bus stop is beside Jimmy Cheung’s restaurant on Waverley Bridge) and ask the Bus Driver to let you off at the bus stop past Mayfield Church on Mayfield Road. The bus stop is just beyond the Highfield Guest House.;Princes Street|Train|1|From the Waverley Station walk to Waverley Bridge. Take the LRT Bus 42 (bus stop is beside Jimmy Cheung's Restaurant). Ask the Bus Driver to let you off at the bus stop past Mayfield Church on Mayfield Road. The bus stop is just beyond the Guest House.;
