This lovely old historic home has a wonderful view of Newport harbor, but not much else. It needs many repairs. There were extension cords all about the room, the furniture and rugs were worn and torn and dirty. Every surface and corner of the house was filled with dolls or stuffed animals rendering much of the room useless. We were very disappointed and would not recommend it.

Really lovely place oozing with history. Amazing pool and views from the huge verandahs, with an abundance of comfy chairs. You could spend hours gazing out to the bay! Anne is such a great host, lovely breakfast and clean and comfy rooms. So much to look at in the house, beautiful!

I stayed with my husband and 2 year old daughter the week of Aug.15th. Room was beautiful with a great water view. Beautiful antiques in house and friendly staff made us feel right at home and of course the best part was Sasha the mascot poodle!!! Soooo cute. :) We will definetly stay there again when we return for our next visit to Rhode Island. Thank you Anne for opening your house for everyone to enjoy. Julia.

We recently stayed at this incredible house and thoroughly enjoyed it! It was as close to staying in one of the Newport mansions as we could ever imagine. Anne has done a wonderful job keeping the historic experience alive. Its location which is directly on the water offers incredible views from every room. The staff was the friendliest we have ever experienced. We are definitely coming back to Newport and will stay here again.
