The Rhein River Guesthouse is a picturesque 17th century mansion on the banks of the river Rhine. It is situated in a small village between Cologne and Duesseldorf and is well connected to the international airports of Cologne/Bonn and Duesseldorf which are only a twenty minutes drive away. The Rhein River Guesthouse is offering a choice of individually and lovingly designed single and double rooms. We offer different price categories for long term and short term stays. The open courtyard with its fountain, its old walnut tree, rose bushes and its aviaries full of exotic birds invites you to relax. Explore the restaurants and cafes nearby and relax on walks or bike tours along the river Rhine. The parks along the river offer playgrounds, soccer fields and beaches are a perfect neighborhood for families with kids, especially in the summer. The Rhein River Guesthouse is part of the German Bed and Bike Network and holds a certificate as a bicycle-friendly accomodation. Due to its special atmosphere, the house is a lively, international meeting point for everyone who loves beauty, music and the arts. Enjoy our Flow Fine Art gallery, presenting itself with alternating exhibitions of painting, photography, ceramics, sculptures, and jewellery. We also offer a variety of body work therapies like different kinds of massages or Cranio-sacralis work. Special Offer for our International Tourists: If you visit us from abroad, we offer you a free pick-up service from the airport or train station and help you organizing your visit! By car from Cologne or Düsseldorf: - A 59 between Cologne and Düsseldorf - Exit Nr. 27 Rheindorf/Hitdorf, then turn right direction Hitdorf - After little shopping mile turn left into “Werftstrasse” - Next turn left into “Rheinstrasse”, after 100m no. 54 By train: - S 6 from Cologne to Leverkusen-Mitte (17 min.) - Bus Nr. 233 direction Monheim (17 min). After 8 pm or on the weekend first take bus 211 until "Pützdelle" and then bus 233. - Exit in Hitdorf, bus stop "Werftstrasse" - turn down Werftstrasse towards the Rhine, then turn left (Rheinstr.) - After approx. 50m house nr. 54. By ferryboat: - from Cologne tram N°12 until termimus Merkenich - Bus 121, 10 minutes until terminus "Köln Langel Fähre" - Ferry (4 min.) 1,10 Eur/Person or 3,10 Eur/car with one Person (only until 7 pm) - turn left and have a nice 10 minutes walk. By plane: - Cologne Airport (Köln-Bonn) or Düsseldorf Airport - cheap lines are Germanwings or Easyjet - it is easy to take the train from Cologne airport: S13 until Köln-Deutz, then S6 until Leverkusen-Rheindorf.
