Punxsutawney was a wonderfully delightful destination and this particular B&B was first on our trip. Donna, the innkeeper, was so generous and hospitable. I am a vegetarian and she made us an extra special breakfast soufflé which was to die for. Donna gave us interesting background information on the history of the property and the town. It was such a pleasure and so interesting. She also let us spend time with her pets (I've forgotten their names that this point but I know there was Dan (a horse) and Cadbury (one of the donkeys). For me, it was such great fun to be able to interact with the animals. My husband and I would recommend this destination to anyone and will definitely visit again.

What an unexpected surprise! My family had to book a room quickly for a funeral and after finding that there were no hotel chains in Punxsutawney (all are in DuBoise, about 17 miles away) we started looking at B&B's, of which there were not even that many. After reading through them several times, we settled on Jackson Run and could not have been happier. It was the perfect place to rest and unwind. My husband and I had stayed in one B&B previously and had decided that we were not interested in doing it again but this experience changed our minds. While there was lovely antique furniture everywhere, the bedroom and living areas were very homey and comfortable, not stuffy. And the modern amenities of wifi and cable tv were great. When booking the reservation, I had assumed the inn was on the main road in Punxsutawney, surrounded by other houses. Instead, we were able to leave the door and see cornfields and horses grazing. The newly arrived donkeys, the horses and the barn cat were a great plus for us. But if these things hold no interest for you, they do not stand in the way of a great stay. Breakfast was good, homemade food and it was only a 5-8 minute drive from downtown Punxsy. Donna, the innkeeper, is readily available to answer questions. I only wish this was closer to our home for weekend visits. We will definitely stay there the next time we visit.

We came to Jackson Run the weekend we moved our daughter in college at IUP. We had a long drive and even longer day getting her settled in! Donna greeted us as up pulled up and immediately made us feel at home! Our room was quaint and comfortable! We had an amazing night sleep. In the morning, we had enjoyed a simple homemade satisfying breakfast. We sat around the breakfast table and shared stories just as if we were at home talking among family and friends! Donna made us feel like we were her extended family who came home! My husband, children and I will be staying here whenever we have to travel far from home! Thank you Donna for making an emotional weekend an enjoyable one! Joe and Christine Leonardi and children

We had the most wonderful time at Jackson Run and Donna is so warm and friendly. The house and property were quaint and perfectly kept. Our room was so quiet and comfortable. A wonderful big bathroom and great space to keep your clothes. Everything is so well thought out to make your stay one of the most relaxing experiences we have ever had. Delicous breakfasts as well.We will look forward to returning next year.

3,6 out of 5Delightful stay at Jackson Run
giugno 20, 2011
We stayed at Jackson Run B&B while visiting the Coolspring Power Museum and engine show. My son was visiting from AZ with us and so enjoyed this visit. The home has a comfortable atmosphere, tastefully decorated with many lovely antiques. The wi-fi and television's keep you in touch with reality, while the surroundings encourage you to relax while visiting the past. The beds are very comfortable for a good night's sleep. The grounds are well manicured and pleasant whether in a rocking chair on the front porch or out back looking at the rolling hills. Donna will make you feel welcomed and at home, as will George if you should meet him. D.H. & Tanya Burch Hillsborough, NC B.W. Lanier, Jr. AZ
4,0 out of 5Romantic Getaway
febbraio 17, 2011
We stayed at Jackson Run on our very first romantic getaway weekend in August 2010. We decided to rent the cottage in the back for more privacy. It was a few dollars more but was well worth it! Donna agreed to make us the full B&B breakfast too which would not normally be included in the entire cottage rental. The cottage consisted of 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with a living room and full kitchen and even dishwasher, washer and dryer. It was in the back near the grapevine and garden. The weather was beautiful and the area was so quiet. The most noise we heard were the resident horses (Dick, Dan and Amy) neighing and the clip-clopping of the horses pulling Amish buggies. The cottage was very clean, the breakfasts were made to our order and served by Donna who was so kind and friendly and a wealth of information about the area and events. The setting was very private and romantic. We went out for a special dinner Saturday night to "Mary's Place" and will make the drive back to Punxy just to have dinner there again and again! Donna and her husband live across the street which was so nice to have them nearby for answers to our questions yet we still felt like we were the only people on earth in this fabulous cottage at Jackson Run! We will be back again and I hope you will stay there too! Linda (N. Huntingdon, PA) and Bob (Vandergrift, PA)
4,4 out of 5Excellent Anniversary Weekend
novembre 17, 2010
We spent our anniversary weekend at the Jackson Run B&B and couldn't have found a better place to stay in the area. We felt like we were at home. Lounged in the living room at night watching TV. Slept better than we have in ages. It was close to everything we were looking for to visit. The farm is beautiful and Donna is the most wonderful person you could ever hope to meet. In fact, we were so relaxed that we ended up forgetting some of our personal items there when packing to leave. I wanted a weekend getaway for our anniversary and this one surpassed anything I could have imagined!! This is the only place we will stay when we are planning to stay in that area.
4,8 out of 5Pride of Ownership
agosto 20, 2010
Pride of ownership was our immediate impression when we first arrived at Jackson Run, and having spent a week there in June, it remains our lasting impression. I don't know which is more immaculate, the house and guests' rooms, or the surrounding grounds. They are all beautiful and impeccably maintained. Owner Donna and her husband George personify graciousness and helpfulness. We were in the area for a horse event and Donna cheerily got up extra early to make us breakfast so as to accommodate our daily schedule. When we initially booked our stay and learned they had horses, I inquired if they had a turn-out pasture available for visiting horses. They didn't, but Donna quickly said they would simply make one for us, and George fenced off a generous section of their pasture just for our horses. Now, talk about personalized service! Adding to this delightful package, the setting is gorgeous PA farm country, quiet and peaceful. We would gladly return and highly recommend this B & B. Chris and Birgitte Newbert, Wentworth, NH.
