    We are located in Oaxaca Downtown, only a few blocks from the Zocalo and Santo Domingo Church. The house has been recently renovated and it is decorated with local handcrafts. We have ecological methods to reuse water. Our breakfast is very healthy and complete: juice, fruit, cofee or tea and a typical Oaxacan main dish. Our four rooms have private bathrooms and hats and bags for our guests to use. You can also make use of our beautiful mexican kitchen. Services include High-speed wifi, free phone calls to Oaxaca, Mexico and the US. Laundry, and parking at a special rate.

    Great service, location, and atmosphere!

    My husband and I just stayed for a 3-night visit in Oaxaca, at El Diablo y la Sandia. Though the taxi driver thought we were crazy when we told him the name of this obscure b&b (The Devil and the Watermelon) - he found it right away and we were only a 20-25 minute ride from the airport. El Diablo has an awesome location, within walking distance to every tourist attraction (as well as some off the beaten path) in Oaxaca. The breakfasts were light and delicious, not to mention the excellent coffee. The owner makes you feel at home, giving you free reign over the outdoor kitchen. You can buy beer and wine as well, and relax on the rooftop terrace. With only 4 rooms there's a chance you'll even have the terrace all to yourself. And the rooms were just enough - comfortable bed, clean bathrooms, and homey, artsy decor. For the price, location, and service, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a down to earth, simple yet elegant, stay in Oaxaca. - Mb, Houston, TX
