Sea Spirit House B&B

Everything was perfect! The hosts made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

Lots of breakfasts at fine b&b's over the past 25 years , but this was truly a delicious and satisfying 3 full course gourmet meal with the finest of ingredients, fine juices made fresh- from a truly gracious owner. Room was palatial and has a real 2 person jacuzzi, not a jetted bathtub. Lovely stretch of beach to walk right on to. Everyone staying there is in a good mood , for good reason. If you love dogs, she will introduce you to her 2 fluffy dogs, Karma and Chi. Not a grain of sand can escape her cleaning.

Our hostess, Diane, keeps a lovely guest house! Our room had a beautiful ocean view. The room was clean, inviting and very comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean and spacious. There is a large comfortable sitting room on the upper level of the home. Breakfast was a delight, served in a sunny dining area with an ocean view. The meal was healthy, original and delicious. The room was the most expensive of our 10 day vacation but we felt that we received good value, none the less. If we ever find ourselves in the vicinity of Yachats, we would stay here again.

This was our first stay at Sea Spirit House and chose it based on the internet presentation. We wanted some peace and quiet down-time and were very pleased to find our choice exceeded our hopes. The location provided an intimate, secluded stretch of beach with very few others. Diane is an incredible chef and provided very memorable breakfasts. We give Sea Spirit House our unqualified recommendation as an absolutely perfect get-away spot. We hope to return soon. Tony and Jesse

Beautiful location right on the beach. Very calm, warm and relaxing experience. Dinner with a bottle of wine sitting on the deck watching the sunset and listening to the waves roll in was incredible. Dianne is a wonderful and caring inn keeper. Terrific breakfast! Delightful!

My wife and I spent 3 days at the Sea Spirit Inn (Nereus room) while in Oregon for a memorial to my mother. From the moment we arrived, we were in a peaceful, tranquil and healing place. Diane is the heart and soul of Sea Spirit, and she is a wonderful cook -- clearly she gets the Breakfast part of B&B! Each morning there was plenty of coffee, tea and fresh juices. Breakfast started with a fruit plate with yogurt, then a smoothie, and finally a gourmet egg dish. We never ate lunch, as the breakfast was so filling. David is a welcoming and gracious host. By coincidence my sister and brother-in-law are named Diane and David, and I mention this because after 3 short days, we felt like family. Sea Spirit is just north of Yachats, and well-positioned for jaunts up and down the coast, on the beach and by car. We explored all the way to Lincoln City to the north and Florence (where my mom and dad retired) to the south. We could not have chosen a better venue for a healing weekend!

This recently built b&b can boast of a beautiful location, overlooking a nearly desert beach and clean ocean, where whales migrate. The rooms are airy, bright, and comfortable, with a large, clean bathroom including all amenities. The breakfasts are to die for, never the same, as the host's creative genius devises new sumptuous menus each morning. On the slightly down side, we wish the balcony had privacy screens between the rooms and that there were more space to hang clothes and also to store them (drawers are sparse). In sum, an ideal place to spend a weekend for couples or single travelers. Highly recommended.

Dianne's home is overflowing with peace, warmth and welcoming. Sinking into the feather topped bed and watching the birds on the lawn and the surf in the distance whilst sipping on my morning coffee started my days there. The gourmet breakfast which followed was guaranteed to ensure the day was off to an excellent start. Dianne goes above and beyond to ensure your stay will be one you'll never forget. This was my first Bed and Breakfast and it will always be the one I will judge all others by. I have stayed at several since then and while they've been very nice, none have come close to the overall experience to be had at Sea Spirit House.

WONDERFUL on all accounts - friendliness, cleanliness, food (presentation and taste). We only had one night, but we will return. You won't regret this choice.

Right on the beach...just begging for long walks. Our bed had to be the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in....I could have stayed there forever. Dianne was so gracious and their home is filled with peace. The breakfasts were truly gourmet and made us feel very special.

Gini and I made our third repeat trip to Sea Spirit House and, as we have been accoustomed in the past, were treated like 'royalty' the entire time! A retired Naval Officer, I have truly 'travelled the world' but have NEVER been more pleased or satisfied with lodging than here. You'd be 'crazy' not to book a visit with David and Diane!

Our Room was the Oceanic and the view was spectacular. Right on the beach with a deck overlooking the sand dunes. Only wish the deck had been private. It is shared by the other room next door. Since there is a sliding glass door that opens onto the deck and overlooks the beach and ocean, we kept the door open all night as we slept. But you kinda feel a potential lack of privacy. The bathroom was gigantic and had a huge walk in shower and seperate spa tub. The decor is limited but clean lines are everywhere. It had a zen like quality to it. We used the common area loft one evening to watch the world series and that room also had a fantastic view of the ocean. The breakfast was wonderful. Our host made the most delicious smoothies each morning. By far our best gormet breakfasts of our 2 week trip! The B and B was very clean and it was also very convenient to all the attractions along the coast.

this is a romantic setting, the owners were very friendly and the food was exceptional. thoroughly enjoyed out stay.

The Sea Spirit House B&B made for a delightful stay along the Oregon Coast. Dianne was an extremely gracious host and certainly ensured that her guests did not walk away from breakfast hungry. Her food was amazing! Our guest room was spacious and comfortable; it was wonderful to both see and hear the Pacific waves from our room. The beach is literally yards away. The bathroom was both large and immaculate. I would highly recommend this B&B to others exploring the Oregon Coast.

We celebrated our 30th Anniversary at Sea Spirit House B&B and it became a forever memory. Dianne & David are very special innkeepers with an outstanding B&B. The food is fantastic, the whole B&B is spotless, the rooms have beautiful views as you fall asleep listening to the ocean and watching the sunset. We will be returning soon.

In addition to the beautiful setting, the appointments inside and the graciousness of our host were a delight. Got the best sleep we've had in years and came away relaxed and refreshed. One of the best B&B experiences we have had.

Sea Spirit House B&B is amazing. The location - right on the beach - is unbeatable. Our room was immaculate. But most importantly, Diane the host was incredible. I will be craving her breakfasts for a VERY long time. And the afternoon "snack" which we had as a treat on our long drive home, was fantastic. She really does make you feel "at home". We can't wait to return.

The Sea Spirit House is a beautiful, quiet and peaceful oasis. The house is impeccably clean and David and Dianne are great hosts. The breakfast was phenomenal! The house is located right on the coast so you can walk right from the house to the ocean. If you're looking for a relaxing, tranquil getaway this is the place to go!

We had a great time. The room and innkeeper was wonderful, the breakfast was amazing. And to add to it all, there was an unexpected home concert the night we stayed there, which only added to the ambience. We missed meeting Dave (who was away) but due to Dianne's energy and care, we will just have to imagine what his presence would have added

Dianne was a most gracious host. We arrived late at night and she greeted us as if it were no bother. The rooms were spacious, beachy, quiet, comfortable, clean, and with a fantastic view and sound of the ocean. I went to the Sea Sprit house on a last minute notice,, i have to say that the best thing on my trip was staying there in a beautiful B&B on the beach and the wonderful hostess Dianne. It was the most truley peaceful, and serene home i have ever been in, the breakfast was beyond words along with the view, it truely was such an experience i will never forget,i will be goin back. Our stay was altogether too short, we enjoyed the Ocean, the Beach, the Sea Lions and got to see a whale as well. The breakfast was wonderful, gourmet and the evening snack and wine refreshed us after a day in the Oregon air, it was GREAT FUN!!

We loved the Sea Spirit House! Dianne, the hostess was so kind and friendly, breakfasts were over the top gourmet, afternoone snacks incredible and what a room! Large, clean, beautiful ocean view, quiet and peaceful. We planned on 3 nights and ended up staying a week we loved it so much!

The Sea Spirit House is the perfect place to relax, eat delicious food, and leave the stressful world behind. My partner and I stayed three nights and were totally pampered by Dave and Dianne. Dianne's breakfasts were amazing. I have some challenging food intolerances--can't eat anything containing gluten or cow's milk. I talked about this with Diane when I made reservations and she was simply wonderful. I brought my favorite gluten-free baking mix and she took it from there. She made the most incredible crepes I have ever eaten. Her fruit smoothies with almond milk were out of this world. And for afternoon tea, she baked these incredible little GF choc-chip muffins. The long, sandy beach in front of the Sea Spirit House is the perfect place to walk off all this wonderful food. As are the hiking trails at Cape Perpetua. From the observatory on the top floor and from our breakfast table, we watched harbor seals fishing in the surf each morning and saw bald eagles fly by. I highly recommend the Sea Spirit House.

We could not have come across a more perfect place to stay! As peace and comfort go there is no better place that I have found here on earth. The service was unreal and the food only better. We stayed at the Inn in October. It was so relaxing and memorable. You are such great hosts and I wish I'd discovered the crows nest earlier. On the other hand I loved the seagrass and sand out the front door.

Our visit to Sea Spirit House was pure serendipity! While we enjoyed lunch at the Village Market and Deli in Newport the owner mentioned that her brother had a B & B near Yachats and gave us directions. We decided to take a look and were so glad that we did. From the moment David and Dianne welcomed us we felt as though we were home. We chose to stay in the Ahti room because the sliding glass door opened onto a lovely porch with a wonderful view of sea grass, beach and ocean. The late afternoon sunshine coming through the large windows gave everything a golden glow. The spacious room was attractively decorated with two comfortable chairs situated so that we could enjoy the view. The bed had a very luxurious pillow topped mattress and a cozy duvet. In the bathroom there was a good sized walk-in shower, two sinks and a very comfortable Jacuzzi tub which we enjoyed later that evening. The winding path through the sea grass encouraged us to take a walk on the seemingly endless beach, one of the best we have ever seen and one we seemed to have all to ourselves. Afterwards we sat on our porch and enjoyed a glass of wine and some nibbles while we watched the sun set. At night the stars filled the sky and we fell asleep listening to the music of the sea. Our gourmet breakfast prepared by Dianne the next morning was amazing! Fruit smoothies, a large fruit plate and wonderful quiche made us feel truly spoiled. While we sat at the table we spotted the whales playing in the ocean and laughed at the birds squabbling at their feeder outside. We felt so rested and at peace that not only did we decide to stay a second night but on our return home we took a detour so that we could have one last night in heaven. Dianne and David were most attentive hosts. We felt that they sincerely wanted our stay with them to be all that we hoped it would be. We left, feeling a part of their family, knowing that we would most definitely return.

Sea Spirit House B&B is Heaven on Earth, oops, Heaven on Beach! Innkeepers Dianne and David are both angels! If you want clean, peace, quiet, beauty, beach, service, and gourmet breakfasts, you've found heaven. The clean, sandy beach is 7 miles long. The house is all windows, sea air, and the sound of the waves. You'll get hooked, because there is no finer place to stay or Innkeepers to cradle you in comfort!

I add the rare opportunity and pleasure of staying at the Sea Spirit House B&B for a whole week. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable with a sitting area looking out at the ocean. A dip in the jacuzzi tub was invigorating yet relaxing. Waking up to the smell of coffee that I didn't have to make and a breakfast not only beautifully presented but scrumptious. David and Diane were most attentive, making sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed or wanted. The roar of the ocean surf was 'music' to my ears having travelled from the Denver, CO area where it's rare to even see rain! The food, service and the way Dave and Dianne make you feel like a member of the family is a unique experience.
