Daniel, the innkeeper, went out of his way to explain the history of the inn and town. He made me feel conformable from the minute i arrived and answered all of my questions. The entire staff was pleasant and helpful, getting with smiles and warmth. We were sad to leave and can't wait to return.

My wife and I stayed here for a week to take in several plays. It was clean, comfortable, perfect location to walk into town and the breakfasts were excellent. They had arranged for a Speaker at breakfast who explained the plays. We will be back.

We had such a pleasant stay at McCall House Bed & Breakfast. Besides the charm and cleanliness, every detail for comfort seemed to have been thought through. They've obviously been doing this for a long time for everything, from check-in to the room to the delicious breakfast to run so smoothly.

The house is right next to the major street in town but traffic noise was not a problem. It was nice to be able to walk downtown and to the restaurant we had chosen since all was close by. The room we reserved was in the annex and very easy to enter from the parking lot. The room had all the amenities, including bathrobes and chocolate. The staff was extremely helpful. The menu for the morning breakfast was listed. We were given the choice of ordering oatmeal if we didn't care for the entree. I did that and the oatmeal was fine. My husband had the entree and liked it. The homemade muffins were great. The only down side is that it is an old house and noise carries. The man in the room above us snored loudly. Once he woke me up at 5 AM I couldn't get back to sleep until he finally got up at 6:30.

The enthusiasm of our friends who recommended McCall House was justified, from the friendly welcome to the community experience at breakfast. We will be back.

My wife and I just spent 4 wonderful nights and were immediately impressed with the beautiful condition in which this landmark was kept. We were even more impressed with Daniel Perry and all of the staff who took care of us. Daniel in particular made a point to make sure we were happy in every way, gave us great recommendations for food, activities, and sights around the area, and even gave us a historical tour of the inn. We feel like we made a great new friend and can't say enough about how wonderful we felt and how nice all of the rooms are (and we saw most of them on our tour). We highly recommend the McCall House.

McCall House is a true gem in so many ways...beautiful rooms, excellent location in downtown Ashland, friendly staff. We have stayed there 3 years and been very happy, but this year prices were raised so much we had to reconsider our choice.

Thanks so much for your kind review. I'm so glad you like our rooms, our location (just one block from downtown Ashland) and our friendly staff! I did want to address your concern about our rates. Although we did raise some prices, not all, the adjustment was slight for the every increasing costs of labor, food, utilities, and taxes. Some room rates were adjusted by $5-$15 dollars, per night, but many rooms reflect the same rates we've had for years. You might consider taking advantage of our promotions, throughout the year. Our current promotion is "Buy 2 Nights ~ Get 1 FREE". This value promotion continues through Februrary 13th. I hope that helps, and thanks again for your review! Located on the first floor.
This richly elegant room with handsome bay windows and beautiful views of both the downtown and the Cascade mountain range was named in honor of President and Lucy Hayes. This large romantic room once belonged to the daughter of the family. The new design and wallcovering in this room was inspired by the remnants of the original décor discovered during the restoration process. Victorian charm abounds with a fireplace, two queen brass beds, and a luxury private assigned bath across the hall.
Named for the celebrated Shakespearean actress and former owner of the McCall House, this handsome guestroom features a king bed and a luxury private bath complete with claw foot tub/shower, and also has a lovely view of the gardens, patio, and fountain.
