I have been staying at Parkers Guesthouse every month for the past 18 months. I have felt I was at home from beginning. The hospitality of Mr. Parker is unbeatable. The home is clean, comfortable and safe. I feel at home here and look forward to my weekend stay every month. If you want a place that makes you feel at home you need to stay here. Mr. Parker is wonderful.

As soon as I walked into the foyer, I was greeted by Paintings, Sculptures, Drawings, Antiques, Bookcases and Fireplaces......The Essence of The African Diaspora Was All Around Me.... as I toured each guest room.... I was reminded of the Harlem renaissance.....Parker's Guest House... an Urban Bed and Breakfast......

I came with a little trepidation, not knowing what to expect. Upon arrival my wife questioned if we had made a good decision. Ed Parker is the owner / Innkeeper. Ed is an accomplished artist and retired professor of Art. Ed Parker is a charming and sincere gentleman. He was extremely accommodating far above our expectations. Mr. Parker is a charming and gracious host - offering us good suggestions about where to eat for lunch and dinner and cooking a substantial breakfast for us. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We found the Parker Guest House a perfect place for our visit to the Cleveland Museum of Art and a Cleveland Orchestra concert. The Healthline bus stops within a block of the property and close to University Circle.

Walking into Parker's Guest House was like walking into your favorite relative's house, who spoiled you as a kid. Mr. Parker is welcoming and caring; he's an amazing artist, person, and cook!

The vintage home is comfortable, but what made the stay delightful was the hospitality of the innkeeper. If you enjoy the arts and a big breakfast -- visit Parker Guest House.

Awesome! My wife; son; and I had a blast. We had the whole 2nd and 3rd floor to ourselves.

Comfortable accommodations with interesting host -- a local artist who also runs an artspace (and cooks an excellent breakfast -- tasty & nutritious!)

I stayed with Ed in June and found him to be an excellent host! I looked round his gallery, which was amazing. My room was extermly comfortable and clean and I would definately stay with Ed again if I ever came back to Cleveland.

Hospitality is the key word here. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing art and sculpture in and around the house. Mr Parker is a real artist and great B&B host. Great American style breakfast, large, very comfortable bed and I even jumped into the excercise room in the morning down in the basement! If you stay, don't miss a short visit to his private art museum adjoining the building.

Not a fancy B&B, Parker's is more like staying with family. Big breakfast, too!

Parker's Guest House offers a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, at a modest price. Those interested in art will find their stay particularly interesting. The house is located within easy drive or bus ride to the major attractions of East Cleveland, including the University Circle museums. Lakeview Cemetary offereing lovely walks and history is very close by.

Once again the multi-faceted, multi-talented Edward Parker, proprietor and gatekeeper, artist and chef extraordinaire made my stay at Parker's Guest House a weekend to remember!

I have stayed at Parker's Guest house on several occasions, as have many of my family members. Once again, the multi-faceted, multi-talented Edward Parker, proprietor and gatekeeper, artist and chef extraordinaire made my stay a weekend to remember! Everything you see, everywhere you turn is a delight to the senses, from the prints, sculptures and paintings that adorn the walls, tables, fireplace and mantels to the delightful aromas that awaken you to the sumptuous, and healthfully prepared Saturday and Sunday family-style brunches. I walked the beautifully landscaped grounds, enjoyed a quiet summer afternoon reading on the country style porch (finally succombing to a short nap), then enjoyed shopping on Coventry and tooling around University Circle. You will want to return again and again to Parker's Guest House!

Having arrived in a thunderstorm we had difficulty finding the house as there was no sign indicating it was a B & B Mr Parker gave us a tour of the rooms and the kitchen and to say we were dissapointed was an under statement, there was no lock on our door which made us feel quite nervous, the en suite was a bit of a makeshift but the towels were clean,in our room the were several damp patches on the ceiling, the air con unit was noisy and the furniture was old and falling to peices there was also un unpleasant odour both in our room and the rest of the house. We decided to stay just the one night and find somewhere more in keeping with the standards we are used to,we requested a refund of 50% as a good will gesture which was flatly refused.Needless to say we would never stay again and wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Cleveland.

We spent only two nights there, but we had a really great time because of the most lovely host of our trip. The breakfast was absolutely memorable in the best possible way. Rooms are very nice, quite and clean with everything you need. Don´t miss the art exhibition of the host/artist Snickerfritz.

Pleasant room in a beautiful and clean house. Not too far from town centre, and very close to hospital, university and Little Italy. Absolutely recommended for human warmth and delicious breakfast. Make sure Edward shows you his artworks.

Ed Parker is a wonderful, creative host. A tour of his Snickerfritz Art Gallery was fun and gives great insight to this warm conversationalist. We came to attend the 4th Annual Collard Green Festival, met the Mayor, ate our fill and got great directions to tour the cultural center that Cleveland is. The lagniappe that we had not anticipated was making great new friends in Ed Parker and his assistant, Lainey. Slick is not the word for Parkers, but homey is. Bring a good appetite, as the breakfast is enormous.

Unlike the cookie cutter hotels, Parker's Guest House was a refurbished Victorian home. Ed & Janie made us feel welcome, comfortable and like family. Breakfast was a real treat -- served family style conversation flowed easily. Ed Parker shared his life, his love for art & people & was a pure joy.

My daughter and her family were visiting from Texas and my home is comfortable but small. I reserved Parker's bed and breakfast for the weekend,as a treat to my family of 6, including myself. We were all able to be together comfortably as we had the run of the house. I was also able to reserve the kitchen so that I could prepare my grandchildren's favorite foods. Ed Parker and Lainey were most accommodating and gracious hosts imaginable. We had tours of his art gallery and entertainment complex and surrounding grounds. Everything was first rate in cleanliness and service. We will certainly consider this type of family gathering again in the future.

I stayed at Ed Parker's Guest House while visiting my daughter on the Case-Western University Campus. I stayed in the David Nathaniel Room with a full size bed. Ed is an internationally known artist and has renovated his home so that each room is comfortable, welcoming, private (each has it's own private, spotless bath/shower) and uplifting. Each day, Ed would ask what time he could serve breakfast and then served me in a dining room that was fit for monarchy. His cooking is healthy, well-balanced, delicious and served in a way that only an artist could create! In addition to all that the home, and Ed himself, have to offer, I was invited to visit his art gallery, adjoining his home. It is a very moving experience. Ed Parker's art is passionate and portrayed in numerous media. At the conclusion of my stay, Ed presented me with one of his famous prints and signed it for me. I have stayed at many Bed & Breakfasts, but this one is an experience you must try to arrange.

I stayed at Parker's Guest House twice for 3 days each visit. I enjoyed Ed and Laine's company very much. Ed was accomodating right from the get-go. He met me in the driveway, carried our bags in, and made me feel welcome right from the start. Breakfast was always served at my convenience and the food was always superb along with the conversation. The house was always quiet in the night time for sleeping and was comfortable. I would recommend it very high.ly

Our family's stay at Parker's Guest House was truly a blessing and without a doubt, outstanding!! Our family members were coming from various cities for the graduation ceremony of our daughter, (their sister, aunt or friend), and we wanted to be able to stay/lodge together. Parker's Guest House perfectly fit the bill and supplied every one of our needs. The Guest House was large yet 'homey' and our entire family was able to fit and function very comfortably. Mr. Parker was an excellent 'Innkeeper', who was very professional as well as friendly and he made each and every one of us feel completely at home. On Sunday, which by the way was Mother's Day, additional family members joined us as we totally (and I want to emphasize TOTALLY!) enjoyed a wonderful home-style meal (very reasonably priced) at his "Art Cafe", located right next door to the Guest House. We were also able to appreciate Mr. Parker's art and his extraordinary artistic ability as we toured his "Art Gallery", which was housed in the same building as the Cafe. Well, I could go on and on in praises, but I'll stop here and highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast spot, better known as "Parker's Guest House"!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Parker's Guest House. Mr. Parker is a wonderful host and an inspiring artist. The location is convenient to museums and other attractions. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast of omelette, potatoes, turkey bacon and sausage, and toast was delicious! We were thoroughly welcomed during our stay and look forward to our next visit.
