Annette's Bed and Breakfast

I appreciated that Annette let me and my partner stay without breakfast which made this place a great value. It was easy to get anywhere via walking or the electric tram. Annette's son and daughter were running the place when I was there and they were wonderful. They were very nice and, like everyone else in Amsterdam, spoke perfect English and made me feel at home. Walk in, grab a piece of fruit, and enjoy the cozy and comfortable rooms!

This B&B is a great value. The rooms are small but cozy and romantic for 2 people. All the ammenities you need and a very sweet knowledgable hostess.Only about three tram stops away from the Leidsplein and museum area or about a 10 minute walk through Vondel Park.The neighborhood is quiet at night with good restaraunts just around the corner.(Italian,Fondue,Turkish,African) Albert Hijn grocery store is a 2 minute walk plus a fantastic bakery right across the street with the best croisants ever. Also simple to get to from Schipol, just one stop on the train then 5 stops on the tram, quick and easy. I've stayed in hotels in Amsterdam many times but the value of this B&B beats them all. Annette's was perfect for a week-long trip. Affordable, clean, warm welcome, and all of the facilities we like. We could cook for ourselves and come and go as we pleased. Annette is a wonderful person and will do whatever she can to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Only 15mins on the tram from the city centre, perfect for a night out or just some sightseeing. If you're going to Amsterdam, forget the big hotels... Annette's B&B in a winner!

We spent 3 wondeful days at ANNETTE B&B(She is an amazing innkeeper) The breakfast is a King´s breakfast and the room "Annette" is very well equiped.My wife and I visited Brugge(Belgium) and she waked up at 4:30 early in the morning to prepared breakfast.WE LOVE ANNETTE.We recommended to choose Annette B&B to stay in Amsterdam.Location is about 10 minutes from down town(two tram stop at 100 meters)We enjoy so much stayin there. The room was very dirty and many things didn't work (i.e. the flush in the bathroom). In the room there was a big window on the ceiling; so we can't sleep owing to the light. All the rooms could be closed only with an external lock; so we couldn't close the door when we were in the room. However Annette is really kind :)

What a wonderful stay we had at Annette's B&B!!! Stayed there for 3 nights, with my girlfriend, on a double room (annette room) with shower, tv, heating and a very cozy bed. The room is small, but you have space for everything you need, plus a window, which comes in handy if you smoke. Annette smokes too (who doesn't in Amsterdam?) so don't stay there if you don't like smokey air. As a short summary, I can just say that Annette is an absolut must while visiting Amsterdam. She should come on the tourist brochures for the city, as she is the perfect example of how the Dutch people can be nice and welcoming! I loved our stay there! Breakfast is simply amazing (everything you need for those morning munchies) and surely worth the money we spent. The room is very cheap (considering the options in Amsterdam). Location is just two tram stops from Leidseplein and about ten to fifteen minutes from the Centraal Station. The neighbourhood, however, has only turkish or african restaurants, which narrows the choices for dinner nearby. However, a short stop away is Leidseplein, where you can eat what you want. I will definitely be going back to Annette's soon!

We spent 5 days in Amsterdam. We had a little room with sherad bathroom. The room was tiny but very well equipped. Annette was very nice and friendly, she served a huge and delitious breakfast, 5-star quality. We became really friends. Surely we will choose it next time.

we stayed 3 nights in late september 2008 in room Laurean with shared bathroom. the room was very tiny. there was an inn keeper in charge since annette was away. she was friendly and the breakfast was so huge that we made our own lunch as well. the location is not central but it is convenient with tram or walk. the house does have smoke smell though.

The hostess is very kind and helpful.Rooms are small but very cozy.If you are going to walk,Leidsplein is 15-20mins away.Its far from the city centre and if you want to spend the night out,you'll need to take a taxi(approx.15euro).The neighborhood is nice and peacefull and you can get away from all the down-town-fuss.Everything you are going to need,you can find it around the B&B.We enjoyed staying there!

We stayed at Annette's for 3 nights and we had a great time, not only in Amsterdam but also at Annette's B&B. Annette is the most helpful, friendly and warm person. The next time we go to Amsterdam we'll do everything we can to be able to stay at Annette's again. For us it was really nice that the breakfast was so big. It was also very thoughtful of Annette to give us plastic bags so we could make some sandwiches for the lunch also. The location was also very good for us. It's not too far from the airport or the central of Amsterdam. The neighbourhood is also very nice.

Recommended for budget travelers. Good location.Breakfast served at 9 am. If you have early plans, maybe better exclude breakfast. Owners are heavy smokers.

Annette gave us the best service. She was friendly, kind & helpful. We really enjoyed staying at this B&B. Breakfast was generous in make up for the small size of room (but still cosy, nice & clean). Location was perfect, only minutes to central city by tram or 20mins walk. There are plenty of supermarkets, laundry service, and yummy Indonesian restaurant around. We also love the accompany of Fanti & Api, they are so lovely. We will sure stay with Annette again when we return to Amsterdam. Thank you very much Annette and all the best to you & family. a really nice place to stay, great atmosphere, within walking distance of the Leidseplein and just a few minutes from vondelpark. Annette is really welcoming and such a nice person. would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in amsterdam
