MAGNOLIA HOUSE

Our stay at Magnolia House was awesome! Tony & Cheryl are great hosts. They were very attentive to our needs and the comfort of our stay. Wish we could have stayed longer!

There are no words to express what the Curingas did for us in a very stressful situation. They treated us like family and totally opened their home to us when we were stuck without accomodations two days before our son's wedding. They went above and beyond to help us out and provide a place for our bridal party to change and organize before the wedding. I would not stay anyplace else if I ever return to LBI. The owners Tony and Cheryl were most accommodating, kind and desirous of our stay being as perfect as could be. The home is as advertised on their website. It works out to be a great deal because they welcome you to come early on your first day, stay two nights, the third night (weekday) is half off, and they welcome you to use the facilities the fourth day, so you get four days for the price of 2 1/2 nights! And the "facilities" include beach chairs, an outdoor shower and changing room, and during the days of your official stay towels and a small cooler bag of snacks and water for the beach. The reason to go is Cheryl and Tony (and their helper Kim) -- their friendliness and hospitality and genuine interest in you, their front porch, and the great deal they offer. The homemade lemonade, daily home-baked sweets (including the most moist, chocolatey cupcake I have ever had!), gourmet ample breakfast (the Dining score above relates only to the unique and imaginative breakfasts), 24 hour coffee and large selection of teas, tasteful Victoriana with modern touches (flat-screen TV in the room), immaculate cleanliness, comfortable bed, -- these are just extras (I guess they do range up to the queitly spectacular).

My 88 yr old mother and I had a wonderful stay at the Magnolia House. Beds very comfortable, breakfast a real treat on the wraparound porch, owners helpful and fun. We look forward to returning next year. Bernadette L.

Cheryl and Tony made our brief family vacation extremely enjoyable. The comfort and convenience they provided alleviated the additional work that comes with a beach vacation. This is the easiest, most comfortable way to stay at the Shore. Just show up and Cheryl and Tony take care of everything from beach umbrellas to making dinner reservations.

The personal touches by our hosts made all the difference in the world. The home and rooms were beautifully decorated with antiques. Every inch was crisply clean. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in until we left the next day. I can't say enough about how nice the gourment breakfast was, the supplies they provided, and all the amenities.

Tony & Cheryl are wonderful hosts. The rooms are very comfortable and the house is beautiful. The Magnolia House if the only B & B we stay at!

An absolutely beautiful, peaceful and relaxing inn. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is looking to get away and also feel like they are at home.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Magnolia House. Tony and Cheryl are so warm and generious. They make you feel like one of the family. There are also alot of free ammenities they give you while staying there. The breakfasts and homemade goodies are to die for. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Some rooms had baths inside but the rooms that had bathrooms in the hall were private. You had your own key. I thought that was great. I would highly recommend staying here. I know we'll be back!

Spent our wedding night at this beautiful, comfortable B&B. Tony and Cheryl were very nice and extremely welcoming. Cheryl even made us a miniature wedding cake. The breakfast was the best I have ever had anywhere. My husband and I were very happy w/ our stay and we will be returning.

This B & B was a wonderful luxury getaway. At first a bit more than I wanted to spend but was worth every penny! To start I received a warm, friendly welcome when I arrived including a yummy refreshing treat to eat. Lots of good homemade cookies and dessert to snack on with pitchers of water, lemonade and ice tea - all homemade. Just a lovely house and room, clean and cozy. The breakfast is gourmet with attentive service. The very best part is the outdoor shower among the beauty of nature. When I went to the beach Cheryl packs a snack of homecookies, chips and water in a cooler! A nice short walk to the beach as well, and to a quaint downtown area. It has the bonus of walking distance to a wonderful theater with excellent productions called the Surflight Theater. This B & B would be ideal for a group, couples or single. It was a nice, comfortable stay with lovely hosts Cheryl and Tony. Susan Montclair, NJ.

Excellent gazebo in backyard that no one else appeared to want to use! Outdoor roomy shower very nice with vines and flowers climbing over outside and inside.

Just took my girlfriend there for the weekend for her birthday. Absolutely amazing place. Two blocks from the beach and walking distance to all the fun stuff in beach haven. The room was great and it was wonderful to be able to sit on the porch, eat and just relax with a nice drink. Cherly and Tony run a great place, the breakfast was fantastic and the treats Cheryl baked thru the day were also very tasty. Any ammenity you need was there, including wifi. Tony and Cheryl supplied beach chairs, umbrellas and a small lunch thermos with drinks, snack and some great homemade brownies, it was a very nice treat to have while lounging on the beach. The outdoor shower was also great. I highly recommend magnolia house, next time I go to long beach island I plan on staying there again. Thanks for everything, Francesco and Jessica

very nice stay. tony and cheryl were great. the place is nice, and breakfast was great. very convenient to beach and restaurants. we would come back for sure.

Cheryl & Tony are the perfect hosts. Think of extra amenities that make the stay comfortable with an instant at home feeling. Baked goods all day long, anything needed for the beach. Towels, mini cooler filled with water & surprise snacks for the beach. Chairs, umbrellas, etc. Rooms, comfortable & quiet. 2 great nights sleep. (Thanks!) Great breakfasts, served in a jiffy. Good coffee! Baked cookies all day long. We will be repeat guests for sure. Cheryl & Tony know how to take care of they're guests & it's apparent they like doing so. Lastly, great vicinity to anywhere walking distance. Park the car & leave til' end of stay. (Cheryl even held our parking space). It's the little things that do not go unnoticed. The Magnolia House B&B in Beach Haven, LBI is a wonderful B&B in a great location on LBI. Rooms are very nice, breakfasts are very good & tasty! Tony & Cheryl are great hosts!

Cheryl and Tony are the perfect innkeepers. They made us feel welcome the minute we arrived, proudly giving us a tour of their beautiful Magnolia House. They attended to our every need and made us feel that this was our home for the weekend. The restaurants they recommended were great, one right across the street and a live theatre was next door to that-very convenient. We enjoyed our visit to the light house following their easy directions. Tony does all the cooking and the food was delicious and Cheryl all the baking, both from scratch. The only thing missing was a Magnolia tree on the premises :-)

The bar has been set high, it was my first experience at a bed and breakfast and we enjoyed every minute of it. The atmosphere was awesome calm and relaxing. The owners were outstanding, pleasant, and caring host. The hospitality was second to none with a resort feel. Food was very good, place was clean, and the amenities offered was a great bonus , free of charge. Definitively will become a regular at Magnolia House

Can't say enough about the generosity of the owners. Warm , friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay wonderful! Owner cooks great meals. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Great location to town and beach. Can be occasionally noisy because of proximity to main street. Only stayed one night but would certainly go back again and again. Can accommodate different dietary needs.-Hunterdon County NJ

The Hayduks of Northern Virginia stayed at the Magnolia House Bed & Breakfast the weekend of March 26 - 27, 2011. Hosts Tony and Cheryl Curinga treated us as old friends, making our stay enjoyable and comfortable. The food was excellent and well presented. We were served both breakfast and dinner, which is not usually included. The accommodations were outstanding. Our room (#3) had been recently renovated and was very comfortable. We plan to stay with the Curingas on our next trip to Long Beach Island, New Jersey.

Our recent stay at Magnolia House was the perfect antidote for the winter doldrums. Tony & Cheryl are gracious hosts who consider each guest's every need and provide for it. Their hospitality was as warm and sweet as the delicious fresh-out-of-the-oven apple crisp that greeted us upon arrival! M & H

Staying at the Magnolia House is like staying with friends! Tony and Cheryl are warm, wonderful hosts, and the house itself is romantically charming. The rooms are spotless, and delicious food and drink are always available. Extras abound, and if you need anything, all you have to do is ask Tony or Cheryl. Lots to do within walking distance - a really fun spot to spend time. Loved it!!!

We have been coming to LBI for many years, staying at The Magnolia House is one of the reasons. Everything is just right, the front porch, breakfasts, the innkeepers Cheryl and Tony, the people we meet there, the rooms, just the whole package. I tell friends that we cannot afford to purchase a beach house, so we come here to get everything we want. The location on the island is perfect, the stores close by, restaurants, fun in the sun, you name it.

If a person wants to experience wonderful hospitality and service, Magnolia House is the place for a memorable stay. I will be returning the first chance I have!!

Magnolia House is lovely. We were totally comfortable where ever we were. Our room was cozy and we had the added feature of a deck adjoining our friend's room so we had a perfect spot to sit in the evening and enjoy the sea breezes. We especially loved the beautiful porch and spent all of our quiet time enjoying the hospitality of our Inn Keepers, which included well prepared and beautifully presented breakfasts and perfect tea service in the afternoons. We felt so well cared for coming into pitchers of iced tea and lemonade and full plates of homemade sweets. All of the "extras" like the bikes and helpful recommendations were greatly appreciated. Tony and Cheryl are warm and caring innkeepers which makes ones stay really special.

We had a wonderful time at Cheryl and Tony's B&B. They were exceedingly accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was lovely and quite ample. But the little touches made it so special. Tea everyday with a lovely snack. Water, tea coffee available at all times. Beach chairs, Beach umbrellas, Beach Badges and towels were supplied AND Cheryl packed a cooler with refreshments for each room daily. We truly enjoyed their company and hospitality.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for our 30th anniversary. The breakfasts were outstanding, rooms were comfortable and the location was perfect. We never stepped in our car the entire stay, we used the bikes provided or walked to the pristine beach. They made sure our every need was met. Would highly recommend staying here!

We have been to Beach Haven many times but this was our first stay in a B&B, and we picked the right one! The Magnolia House is wonderful, charming, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The Hosts, Cheryl and Tony made our stay memorable. They are attentive and treat their guests warmly. The breakfasts which are served in the dining room, the outside porch or your own balcony are delicious. We felt like family! My children and grandchildren visited us for the day and Cheryl and Tony lavished all the amenities on them even though they weren't guests. We can't wait to go back.

We can't say enough about how "friendly & accomodating" Cheryl & Tony were...We stayed at Magnolia House for 3 nights & it was an absolute pleasure! We had a gourmet breakfast every morning and there was always fresh baked goods & refreshments available throughout the day. Tony & Cheryl really make you feel at home & accomodate you in every way possible (i.e. they even made dinner reservations for us, packed us drinks/snacks for the beach each day, etc.). The Magnolia House is First Class B&B...

I can not say enough good things about Cheryl & Tony! Delicious breakfasts! Clean, beautiful rooms! Hosts provide EVERYTHING needed for your vacation. Towels, drinks, coolers, bikes, beach badges. Treats-Treats and more yummy Treats! Just bring yourself! Will visit again and highly advise anyone visiting the LBI area to stay at the Magnolia!

My husband and I arrived on a Wednesday and had to force ourselves to leave on Saturday! The Magnolia House was the best part of our summer so far...and I have no doubt we will feel the same when the summer is just a fond memory. The room was so comfortable and the "rain" shower head in the bath was wonderful. Tony and Cheryl served a different and delightful breakfast each morning, the blueberry polenta was my favorite. The beach is a very short walk away and they provide each room with it's own beach towels in a carry all, small cooler bag complete with water and snacks as well as beach chairs & umbrella if you choose. Everything is just a stroll away, you park your car and that's it until you take your leave. Tony and Cheryl are very well informed about LBI and are eager to help with suggestions for activities and dinning, Cheryl will even make reservations for you. My advice is visit the Magnolia House you will not be dissappointed!

We enjoyed our weekend stay at Magnolia House. This was our first time to Beach Haven and Cheryl and Tony helped us feel welcomed and at home! Cheryl was eager to recommend restaurants to eat at and to even make reservations for us. The food at the inn was scrumptious, with the tea time in the afternoon a fantastic benefit! The iced tea and lemonade quenched our thirst after coming off of the beach. The amenities such as beach umbrellas, beach chairs, beach passes, a beach bag packed with towels, and a cooler for the beach topped off the trip! Actually, this is why I chose Magnolia House over other accomodations. Cheryl and Tony were wonderful hosts and we were not disappointed! We will definitely stay here again! ~ S & J

My husband and I were in town for a wedding. We stayed one night (the night before the rehearsal dinner) and then moved to a hotel to be with wedding party, etc. We checked out of our room at 11 a.m. and planned to spend the day on the beach. Well, it rained all day!! Even though we were officially "checked out" and no longer guests, Cheryl and Tony welcomed us to hang out on the porch and read or hang out in the parlor or common room. They allowed us access to the outside showers and the half bath downstairs in order for us to get dressed, put on make up, etc. Tony even brought us lemonade and cookies. We were also welcome to indulge in the homemade peach cobbler they had just made....and like I said.....we were already checked out. They have a stay and play policy that is just awesome. Even after checkout at 11 a.m. if you want to stay and enjoy the beach, they still let you use their towels, coolers, beach chairs, outside showers, etc. We were so thankful to them for their warmth and hospitality. They were great with restaurant recommendations, directions, whatever we needed. Cheryl let me borrow an umbrella so I could shop around on that rainy day. Can't say enough good things. The inn is immaculately clean and the breakfast was delicious, Tony makes many of the dishes himself and takes great pride in them.

We had a wonderful stay at the Magnolia House. The room was beautiful, the bed was good, the air conditioning was perfect (which was nice, because it was hot and humid outside) and the breakfast was first rate, and there was plenty of it. We went to the beach every day, and the proprietors fixed us up with water and snacks in an ice chest, umbrella, beach towels, chairs, etc. One of the best parts of the stay were the friendly, hospitable, cheerful proprietors, who made us feel at home while still giving us plenty of space and privacy. We've been to Beach Haven several times, and the Magnolia House is tops. We'll stay there again without question.

My husband and I have stayed in various B&B's and we found this one to be one of the best! We enjoyed a stay here while vacationing on LBI and wanting some alone time from our 1 year old.....the hospitality provided from Tony and Cheryl couldn't be better....the breakfast was DELICCIOUS, the house is beautiful....we had a great stay and so happy we chose the magnolia house!!!

The magnolia flower has long been associated with beauty, perseverance and nobility, all of which are embodied at the Magnolia House in Beach Haven, NJ. Built quite a while ago, in the 1860's to be specific, this beautiful Bed and Breakfast is full of special victorian style charm. As you sit comfortably on the porch, sipping an iced tea from a lovely tall cobalt blue glass, you may imagine the tales fishermen may have once shared on this porch, but as I did you may also be taken back to be in the present moment as your taste buds are energized by a lovely afternoon snack (in my case it was a warm home made peach cobbler on my first afternoon.. so delicious). From a warm greeting on arrival from the inn keepers, to fresh flowers and seasonal fruit, to plush towels both in room and in outdoor shower, not a detail is missed at the Magnolia House. Breakfasts are particularly tasty, and special attention is obvious in each dish that is served. A unique gourmet breakfast is offered up daily with most tasteful creativity. Tony and Cheryl are ready to see that you are as comfortable as you can be. Towels, umbrellas, chairs, beach badges are available for your use. The outside shower after the beach, or even to start the day, is a must do when you're there. Up early, Cheryl packs you a cooler with water and snacks, and for your snack, it will be a surprise each day. I don't want to give all the details away, you'll have to come yourself to see what your surprise is. Highly recommended. Surrounding Magnolia House is Beach Haven, full of history as well as award winning soft white sandy beachs, clear turquoise waters, wonderful shopping and great dining.

Cannot recommend highly enough. You will not be disappointed. Charm oozes from every nook and cranny. Tony and Cheryl make you truly feel like a guest in their own home. We will return more than once.
