Des è un Northlander vero! Ha vissuto qui tutta la sua vita ed è appassionato di sua eccezionale bellezza e le opportunità che offre ai visitatori. Des è coltivata in Northland per molti anni e, per gli ultimi 25 anni ha costruito una reputazione come un maniscalco molto competente. Questo fino a quando decise di cambiare direzione e condividere questo luogo appartato in paradiso con ospiti locali ed internazionali! Ora si gode il suo tempo libero, ama-passare del tempo con gli ospiti, la pesca e le immersioni subacquee in acque ricche di vita marina locale, la cucina i prodotti locali e giocare a golf fuori un handicap 15. Des è sposato con tre figli adulti e un giudice di pace

    Chilling out with Des

    We visited NZ on november 2011 and stayed at Chillout Taiwawe for five days. Des Cogan is a wonderful host and we really enjoyed our stay! We would like to recommend Chillout Taiwawe to anyone looking for perfect mix of activity and relaxation. Antti & Annika, Jyväskylä Finlad

    The perfect place to Chillout

    Des offers the most wonderful friendly and hospitable experience I have had in the many years of B & B I have done. I was impressed with the many small touches provided such as chocolates, games of coyts, fresh towels, nibbles - just to name a few. Des went out of his way to make my stay very enjoyable. I enjoyed a fabulous boat trip out to surrounding bays, walking the Mimiwhangata Peninsula, fishing, collecting tuatua and going to the Helena Bay Hill Art Gallery. Des offers more than this for activities, and I urge anyone to do whatever is available. I enjoyed the fresh home made bread, and freshly prepared meals. I couldn't have asked for anything better to meet the idea I had of parking myself on the edge of the earth to soak up land, sea, bush and sky. I was in awe of the landscape and never tired of it. This is a truly remarkable experience. I will not forget any of this, and I sincerely hope to return again. Denise Poyner
