    Godere di un giorno nel paese in uno scenario spettacolare quando fate un passo indietro nel tempo al Bed & Breakfast del capitano Schoonmaker. Un pre-rivoluzionario guerra casa di pietra situato nella bellissima valle Hudson tra Catskill e Shawangunk Mountains. Situato su 9 ettari boscose e ben curati, capitano Schoonmaker è il luogo ideale per una fuga romantica o rilassante. L'odore del camino a legna sarà salutiamo come si cammina fino al 1760 Stone House per un soggiorno di breakfast.Guests di 5 portate nel 1810 Carriage House, un fienile di mucca convertito. Tutte le camere Carriage House dispongono di balconi privati con vista la cascata, flusso di trota e Woodlands. Baldacchini e puffy piuma letti sono parte della nostra Early American decor. Cinque ben arredate camere, tutte con bagno privato, tre con Jacuzzi bagno tubs.Honeymoon suite con camino, vasca idromassaggio e cavo TV.Your Elegant prima colazione è servita a lume di candela nella sala 1810 su una tabella di antica fattoria 12 piedi davanti al caminetto a legna. Gustare prelibatezze, come le pere bollite in salsa di lampone, ripieni french toast, Vegetable Frittata, panini fatti in casa di cannella o nostra uova di fattoria fresche. Dopo la prima colazione, è possibile scegliere tra molte attività locali. Forse escursioni sci di fondo al lago Minnewaska o Mantieni Mohonk o alcune delle migliori rock arrampicata sulla costa est. Se il campo da golf è il tuo gioco, ci sono molti corsi nella zona. Visitando uno dei molti negozi di antiquariato o studi di ceramica è un must, come ci sono così tanti da scegliere. Ci sono molti ottimi ristoranti pochi minuti di distanza, da quattro stelle gourmet, tedesco, italiano, vegetariana e molti altri. Saremo lieti di fornire menu e prenotare per voi.

    Our most favorite get away!

    My husband and I started visiting Captain Schoonmaker's almost 8 years ago. This is truly a "home away from home" and a place I find to recharge and reset. My only wish is that we could visit more often but with two little ones, the opportunity is not all that often. This weekend was a lucky one for us. Bill and Judy are such wonderful, wonderful people and are beyond welcoming and perfect hosts. My husband being a chef and me being a foodie, we enjoy good food. Judy is an excellent chef and the presentation she delivers is nothing short of a beauty and complete satisfaction. We think a cookbook is in order! Bill has mastered coffee making and countless cups of hot joe are filled quickly. The main house and carriage house are decorated so fitting and when I brought my Mom away for a girls weekend, her reaction was "you could move right in". Each of the carriage house rooms has it's own balcony overlooking the stream and waterfall and the grounds are inviting for a picnic, nap or sipping wine.

    A breath of fresh air in the country...

    We stayed at Captain Schoonmakers in July of 2012. The rooms were charming, immaculate and fulfilled our every requirement. The property was beautiful and included a view of the stream from our porch. Breakfast was outstanding from the frittata to the delicious bacon and fresh fruit. Coffee was delicious and plentiful. Our room was very comfortable and featured a jacuzzi tub, a/c, and a 4 poster comfy bed. My hubby and I slept very soundly listening to the hum of the stream. Judy and Bill, the proprietors, were very accommodating and recommended great restaurants, esp. the Inn At Stone Ridge and also provided valuable information on many of the areas activities that we enjoyed, particularly hiking at the Mohonk Preserve and Lake Minnewaska, which had spectacular views. The local wineries were really beautiful and served quality wines, which we really enjoyed along with a beautiful view. All in all, the vacation was an outstanding one. We will absolute;y return to this great B&B in the very near future. We truly enjoyed every aspect of the accommodations and the Hudson Valley is very beautiful as well!! S. and J. from L.I.

    Tranquil woodlands heaven!

    The 2 nights we spent at this gorgeous place felt like a 2 week vacation. The Klocks are wonderful hosts and spare no detail in making your stay as cozy as staying at your grandma's but private enough for a romantic getaway with the one you love. Loved the antiques and the chickens running around the yard! Absolutely charming!- Nick and Steph

    Bill and Judy were awesome host. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and the food was great! I strongly suggest you stay here if you're looking for a nice relaxing get away with out the hustle and bustle of everyday life!

    I'm leery of giving Captain Schoonmaker's a great review because I'd love to keep this place all to myself. It is hands-down one of my favorite places to stay. I always book the Captain's Quarters and it's always perfection in every way: From the details throughout the home to the gorgeous landscape to the warm fireplaces lit everywhere to the amazing cooking and best of all, to the hospitality of Judy and Bill. If I were to build my own country home full of charm and warmth, it would be modeled after Captain Schoonmaker's!

    Excellent romantic weekend!

    A much needed respite from the City, my boyfriend and I spent the weekend at Captain Schoonmaker's. It was our first B&B experience and it - by far - exceeded expectations. It was so charming - the rustic carriage house (where our room was), the stream and waterfall on the property, antiques everywhere, fireplaces for our use, the quirks of an old home (circa 1760!), and, of course, the lovely hosts, Bill and Judy. They were so sweet, and the breakfasts were delicious! It was so fun to meet the other guests (all of whom were lovely), and the location was perfect - close to great resty's, wineries and hiking. Highly recommend; can't wait to return!

    We were given this stay as a gift and just loved it as a matter of fact we are going again this week-end. It is so serene and great location on a river. I highly recommend this place for a great get away from it all.

    A wonderful experience

    Bill and Judy were warm and welcoming hosts; the bed and breakfast is a charming getaway in a wonderful setting. My room overlooked the creek, was furnished with antiques and made me feel as though I were in a 19th century retreat. The only drawback was the other set of guests who didn't seem to know about the standard 'no noise after 11pm policy' most of us travelers abide by, but that is bad luck, no fault of the Schoonmaker B&B. Aside from that, I'd stay again!
