I always stay at the Pig Hill Inn when I head to the NY metro area for work. The Inn feels like my second home - Vera and Dave are so welcoming and gracious. It's near the train station and in a unique village on the Hudson. I particularly like the restaurant across the street and Carolyn's up a block.

My wife and I visited on a fall weekend, when the parlor fire was always burning, which we enjoyed. Our room also had a wood burning stove, stocked with a Duraflame log, and we took advantage of that one chilly day. The room was very comfortable, with a large, soft bed. There's a small wine bar, which we didn't know beforehand, and we had a good glass of red for only five dollars. The breakfasts served were absolutely enormous, with a choice the day's omelet or French toast each day that we were there, preceded by a basket of breads or biscuits, and a muffin, all delicious. Highly recommended for a comfortable, pleasant getaway from New York City, as were did, or from wherever you're coming.

Mildew all over the bathroom. Gashes in the walls. Dust in every crevice. Place needs to be painted. Kind of gross and very expensive. Definitely would recommend you avoid!

The Pig Hill Inn was one of the most hospitable, cozy, quiet places I've stayed in after many years of travels. I had the Victorian Elegance Suite on the second floor. The room was perfectly sized for me and my girlfriend, and the room was clean. It had small decorations all around (most of which are available for purchase) and the bathtub was a nice installment. The town is great, the breakfast at the inn was amazing, and the Pig Hill Inn was an outstanding place to be.

What an amazing stay at the Pig Hill Inn! Great staff, very accommodating and wonderful rooms and ambience. Within walking distance of Breakneck Ridge and Mt. Taurus hiking trails. Quaint main street and some decent eateries downtown. Will definitely make this trip again :)

My wife and I and our young boy, along with my wife's parents stayed in two rooms. As we were with a young child, we were in the one downstairs room, while my in-laws had a second floor room. We were there just one night, to enjoy hiking in Hudson Highlands State Park. (Only 1 1/2 hours from NYC and feels like being much more remote! Great trails and variety of terrain.) Too short (as we're on a limited budget) but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The proprietor has character and charm and that spirit is embodied in the feel of the whole place. Each room is unique and the breakfast room/solarium is wonderful. (Breakfast was perfect too!) We will definitely return!!!

The Pig Hill Inn was delightful! Our room was warm, cozy- lovely antique lodge accents and fireplace. Wood floor boards from the 1800's added charm and authenticity! Vera, the innkeeper, was accomodating, inviting and informative. Tea and fresh baked brownies were served in the afternoon, wine by the glass before dinner, and a sumptuois morning breakfast served in an enclosed sunroom were just wonderful. Our overnight stay was perfect- walking about in town was a treat- lots of antique stores, restaurants, church grounds and spectacular river and mountain views! I would definitely return!

Good Location. Charming town. Walls pretty thin and hardwood floors so a little noisy. Would have appreciated a TV.
