The Loralei B&B

Robert could not be a more accommodating host. I forgot my dopp kit and he provided a toothbrush and past, had the wrong charger and again he loaned me one. I am an early riser and my second day there had things out 1/2 an hour earlier than usual. Will definitely stay there again when an overnight in brooklyn is called for

Loralei Bed and Breakfast was an absolute gem of a find. From the beginning, Robert and Lance were timely and efficient in their responses to our emails and phone calls. They also gave us tips on how to get from the airport to their neighborhood in Brooklyn. The house itself is old and beautifully furnished, and the rooms cozy and comfortable. The owners themselves were extremely friendly and warm and made us feel very welcome. I gave the dining a 4/5 only because meals are not included at Loralei. However, breakfast was plentiful, healthy, and fresh. In addition, there are plenty of excellent restaurants very close by. The Loralei is in Brooklyn, but for us this was actually a plus, as the neighborhood is quiet, residential, and clean. We went for a few lovely walks. The Loralei is on a direct line into the city; it takes about 25 minutes to get to Times Square. All in all, a truly lovely place and I will stay there from now on.

Hi After just a little of more than one year, just to recap how wonderful my experience was and is of staying at the Loralei Band B. I can only say ... Thank You Rob and Lance for a perfect New York Experience (more expensive hotels on 5th Ave have NO REAL chance of equalling this experience) because that's only tourist NYC and with the Loralei guests will experience the REAL NYC believe me I speak the truth!!!!! And I have NO financial gain or other wise in stating so. Honestly!!!!!!!!! Pete in East Yorkshire England Loralei ...... HIGHLY RECOMENDED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was perfect for us ! Our intention was to get as much as possible out of New York so we needed a calm place close to the subway and we got it ! We will never forget Robert´s concern - he was always there with good solutions whatever we brought up from our adventures in NC. We started every day with a great breakfast too !

We had a wonderful stay at the Loralei Inn. The innkeepers made us feel welcome in their beautiful home, the breakfast was great, the room and bathroom were comfortable and spotless. This is a beautiful old Victorian neighborhood. It doesn't seem possible that you are in New York City, yet you are just a short subway ride to Manhattan. I will definitely stay at the Loralei on future trips to visit family in New York.

The hosts have opened their luxurious home to experienced and novice travelers, and have exceeded all expectations as helpful, friendly hosts. A wonderful experience!

After spending a week at a cramped, uncomfortable, somewhat dubious establishment in Greenwich Village, our accomodation arrangements improved dramatically once arriving at The Loralei. For the same price as the room in Greenwich Village we were given a luxury suite, private bathroom and excellent breakfast (not the day old pastries we were getting used to). Robert and Lance are both incredibly gracious hosts and we thank them for their hospitality. We will definitely be visiting again. JS & LS Melbourne, Australia

While visiting NYC for my mom's 75th b-day, we have a marvelous experience at Loralei B&B. Highly recommended!

We were here for a very cold week in January. The "Loralei" was the best choice we could make for our stay at NY. Very hospitable and friendly the innkeeper, excellent, comfortably and very warm our rooms. The breakfast was excellent, fresh fruits, bagels, toast coffee, tea etc. The lovely Neighborhood(part of Ditmas Park)is very safe and calm. To the subway(Q&B)it is a 3min walk and we felt us safe night and day to use the subway to go to Manhattan. We will come back to NY and we hope that then the "Loralei" will have availability for us.
