From maps and suggestions on better places to park while we went about our day, to making sure we had whatever refreshment we wanted while relaxing outside on the porch, Susan and Ray were exceptional hosts. Every room has something to explore with painted ceilings depicting beautiful clouds above walls with filled with adobe buildings. Even the room doors were ornately painted to resemble old wooden doors with iron grill work.

The Mission Inn is unique in Cape May since it is not a Victorian B&B as is the traditional of Cape May, a Victorian town. Rather it is a building recreated with a historic California Missions as the central decorative theme. We love the creativity of the murals decorating every wall, each guest room is decorated to match a different Mission and it's amazing to see the decorative variety throughout the Inn. The creative and uniquely delicious, healthy breakfasts each morning are another favorite. Appetizers at 4pm. Everything you could want is available: beach tags, beach chairs, bikes, knowledgable advice about local places to visit, to shop, to dine......... We love going walking each day at the various birding sites near Cape May in the mornings and then going for walks in the town full of such interesting and historical architecture and finally walking down the boardwalk to view the sunset over Cape May Point with the Cape May Light House in site. The Mission Inn is one block form the beach, several blocks from the center of town, a perfect placement, for us, away from the crowds when we want quiet but close enough to walk downtown and enjoy the activities there whenever we wish and the beach is one block away and not as crowded as it can be closer in to town. The balance is wonderful. So, Cape May is wonderful, but The Mission Inn is truly exceptional.

Ray and Susan couldn't be more wonderful. They are always available and willing to accommodate your every need, including mapping out fun ways to spend your day. The rooms were and absolutely gorgeous, and the breakfasts-just unbelievable. I cannot wait for my next stay in the hopefully near future.

We've stayed in many Cape May B&B's and this one truly stands above all of the rest. The Inn is truly gorgeous with absolutely stunning murals throughout the inn- even in each of the bedrooms. My husband and I stayed there over Memorial weekend with our two teenage boys. Even though the weather wasn't great, the Inn experience made it a truly memorable stay. The inn was booked, but we were treated by Susan and Raymond (the owners) like we were the only people staying there - that's how welcome you feel and how much they cater to your needs. The food was very creative and delicious - we looked forward to breakfast each morning and the delicious treats served each afternoon. It is a very close walk to the beach and they provide chairs, umbrella's, beach towels and even bikes (for free). Honestly, we felt part of the "Mission Inn" family and will not stay anywhere else in Cape May (a quote from my kids). We've been won over.

I can't say enough about the Mission Inn, Susan & Raymond run a great B & B. From the wonderful rooms to the common room with places to gather to the food, it is all fantastic! This was our second and certainly not last visit to the Inn. You might not think a southwest style Inn fits with Cape May, but open yourself up to life beyond the Victorian B & Bs. The Inn provides so much from beach chairs & umbrellas to bikes or DVDs & books from days away from the beach. Susan can suggest where to eat, what to see, and where to find that special item you've been shopping for to take home with you. The only thing I can say against the Inn is we can't get there enough (& that's our fault not theirs)!

My husband and I went to the Mission Inn to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary. Once we walked thru the front door and meet Susan & Ray we knew how wonderful our night would be. The Inn is absolutly beautiful with a warm feeling. We will definitly return.
