Haynes Bed and Breakfast

We stayed in this lovely B & B last year. Our hosts were very kind and accommodating. We plan on returning every year for furniture market in High Point.

We stayed here NYE 2012. It was a great place. Very clean house, very helpful owners. The inn is right across from all the good restaurants and bars downtown, but in the good part of down town. It's also just a cheap cab ride or free walk away from the colosseum. The breakfast was awesome too. Every thing was organic and fresh. The only complaint we had was that there was no TV, not that big of a deal. I highly reccomend to any one else.

My husband and I were hauling our horses to an event near Greensboro and had to stable them outside of town. We had already requested a late arrival of 9PM, but when we had an emergency at the barn that delayed our arrival until almost 10PM, the innkeeper was incredibly understanding and gracious. Our room was comfortable and beautifully outfitted. We wished we would have had the chance to spend more than just a few hours there. After I sustained an injury from the previous night's incident, we decided to delay our departure in order to take advantage of breakfast. It was superb. We were both glad to have opted for that very civilized and elegant moment in an otherwise hectic and hay-filled weekend. We hope to return someday--without horses!--so that we can enjoy ourselves more. The inn seemed to be situated very close to all the action and yet in a lovely and quiet neighborhood. Would highly recommend on all accounts.

The Haynes Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful home and Glenna and Dale and exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts. The breakfasts are excellent, and varied the coffee superb. On previous visits on business to Greensboro I had stayed in large chain hotels out on the highway -- this is far preferable, a very short walk from the city centre of Greensboro but in a very quiet street. Glenna and Dale were very helpful from telling me what was going on in Greensboro to helping me sort local travel arrangements and setting up coffee on a timer for my 4 am departure which was especially appreciated. There are only a few rooms so it really is much like being an honoured, welcome guest; the home is beautiful with very tasteful furnishings so it would also be a great place to stay for a couple on a break too. A very pleasant fresh bathroom and great shower. And as a final practicality the wireless internet is fast and problem free -- always welcome. I usually go to Greensboro once a year for business and this will always be my first choice place to stay in future.

Glenna and Dale were absolutely fantastic! Great location-walk to downtown bars and restaurants.

2nd time staying at Haynes B&B and I have really enjoyed it. I feel right at home, as if I'm staying at a family or a close friend's house. Will come back.

The house was well decorated and our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed time on the upstairs deck in the evening. Breakfast was excellent. Within walking distance of many restaurants which was great after so much time on the road. Hosts were very friendly and informative.

Glenna and Dale Haynes are running a truly lovely bed and breakfast. The home is great in a quiet little neighborhood but within minutes you an walk to many restaurants and shops. The home is beautiful and oh so nice and clean! Highly advise staying here.

We chose to stay here as a little escape from our daily life in Durham. It was a great find. It is an amazing value. The B&B is located very close to downtown. It is an easy walk to the museums and restaurants in downtown Greensboro. The breakfast the next morning was excellent. I had the blueberry french toast. It was very good. I would highly recommend staying here if you are ever in Greensboro.

Arrived at this lovely B+B as repeat guests but first time in an NC summer. The Innkeepers were away at a funeral but they had covered the running of the B+B with a very helpful and charming friend who did a great job to make us most welcome. Even supplied cold beers to help us relax on the front porch !! House is great, lovely room, good breakfast, close to downtown and no distance from excellent restaurants. Easy access from I40 on the southside of downtown Greensboro. things to do close by include the City Museum which is excellent both value for $$ and fascinating exhibits. The stay in Haynes B&B was awsome. I had a very warm wellcome even I arrived at 09.00 pm. After a long day in the train my room was like heaven. The next day I got advise for some very good points of interest and learned many things about american history. I only can recommend this place.

This B&B is the best we have stayed in and we have traveled the US and Europe. It is quiet, the hosts are wonderful (wonderful friends as well), the beds are very comfortable, the rooms are neat and the breakfast was filling. We will stay there whenever we are in NW North Carolina!

Location was fantastic for the purpose of our visit. Within walking distance of many museums, colleges and other interesting sites to visit. Host was very friendly and accommodating and willing to go beyond to make sure visit was pleasant.

After a long day on the road, couldn't think of a better place to stop! Cute restaraunts within walking distance, breakfast that exceeded expectations in the mroning.

I've never expected to find such an outstanding B&B. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, I actually slept better than I usually do at home! Breakfast was delicious and perfectly served and it was so nice talking to the hosts that it was hard to leave in the morning. Also this B&B is close to the various restaurants and pubs so it was easy to get some solid dinner. Would definitely stay again.

The house was well decorated and breakfast was excellent. Coffee perfect, Biscuit cannot be better. Innerkeepers were so kind. Breakfast time can be flexible with your schedule. Wifi worked very well and speedy. I felt comfortable like in Hotel.

We stayed at Haynes B & B for 3 nights and were very pleased with the accomodations and the friendly owners. This is our first experience at a B&B and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the stay was. The location is closed to our daughter and son-in-law's. When we visit Greensboro again we plan to stay at Haynes B&B if the room is available.

My wife and I were anxious to greet our newborn grandson and were pleased to find a "B & B" within walking distance. Even though we arrived at a late hour, our hosts Glenna and Dale welcomed us with warm hospitality. Our accomodations were excellent and exceptionally clean. Our breakfasts were individualized to satisfy our personal tastes and extremely delicious. (The grits were the best that ever crossed this Yankee's lips!) Our hosts' genuine and friendly demeanor made us feel very comfortable. We have indeed found a home away from home and we can't wait to enjoy the spacious porches when visiting our son and family during the warmer weather. Our plans called for an early departure and Glenna and Dale went out of their way to assure that we had fresh coffee and pastries to take along. Yes, we have found a jewel in the revitalized downtown area of Greensboro!

I stayed at the Haynes B&B the night before my wedding, and my husband and I stayed there for two nights after. Our stay was excellent! Dale and Glenna took our breakfast order every night, even waiting up for us when we forgot to tell them before we went out. The breakfast is made fresh for you and ready at whatever time you request. And the food is delicious. The room was clean and comfortable, as is the entire house. It was wonderful to relax on the porch and read the newspaper during what could have easily been an overwhelmingly chaotic time. We had a wonderful time and plan to go back!

In a very interesting area of dynamic Greensboro, this bed and breakfast could let the city stand out as the main attraction, but the home is so lovely that you could never leave during your stay and still have a wonderful time. The owners are friendly, helpful, thorough in their caretaking of the property and added local charm to the stay. A great value, as well. I liked the small size. Highly recommended!

Dale and Glenna are the two of the nicest, friendliest B&B owners I've ever met. It's so clear they love what they - love the people who stay with them. Over and over, they went out of their way to accommodate us. Their house is gorgeous and so comfortable!! Every single thing was great!! Stay here!

My son and I were planning a short short visit to Greensboroand and were fortunate enough to come across Haynes B&B on line as were were making reservations. From the very start I had a good feeling about the whole experience and after speaking with Glenna my mind was made up. This was my first time at a B&B and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The house was simply beautiful and we were made to feel welcomed and at home as we walked through the door. I will definately be looking up Haynes B&B on my next visit to Greeneboro. MG - NJ

My daughter and I had the good fortune of staying at the Haynes while we visited UNCG. Glenna and Dale were more than happy to help us out with directions and recommended Vintage 301, just down the street, for dinner..one of our trip's highlights! Really enjoyed our stay; we'll look to stay again at the Haynes when we move our daughter down this summer!

I loved this place. Beautiful accomadations, great hosts and breakfast too. Right near downtown. And a proch to boot.

We stayed last week for 3 days to visit colleges with our daughter. Glenna and Dale made us feel like family not hotel guests. Their B & B is so close to wonderful restaurants and Greensboro's "walking mile" of the downtown Elm Street Business District. Every 1st Friday of the month Elm Street businesses are open late, there are art shops and a crafts fair. On Saturday morning, Glenna and Dale directed us to the local Farmers Market (even O'Bama visited it) only a walking mile from their house. The Haynes' are very health conscious and offer healthy breakfasts and every day put out water and an apple for each person. Can't say enough. If our daughter goes to school in Greensboro, Haynes B & B will be our home away from home.

Haynes Bed & Breakfast is my favorite place to stay in Greensboro. The house is very nice and the owners - Dale & Glenna - are such wonderful people. The location is ideal: Just a few minutes walk from downtown and yet far enough away from the main street to be quiet and peaceful. I will certainly visit them again.

My husband and I booked a two night stay at the Haynes B and B. We were warmly greeted and escorted to our room. The room was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was large and spotless. The B and B is located in a new downtown "live, work, play" area within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and art galleries. If the colleges in Greensboro are the reason for a trip there, this is a good location. It is also near the interstate (ask for directions when you reserve your room, Map Quest wasn't accurate). The next morning I woke up feeling quite ill. The Haynes sent ginger ale up to my room, and then kept the house absolutely quiet while I rested until noon.The next morning both of us enjoyed a wonderful breakfast (they offer a nice variety of choices) and left to return home. I will be returning to Greensboro in May and have already booked a room for that trip. The price is an excellent value for the comfort, location, food, and service. I look forward to my next visit so I can enjoy the front porch and walk downtown in warmer weather. KHC

I spent a happy 2 nights here recently. The room was comfortable and a pleasing santuary from the rigours of travel. Glenna gives her guests friendly, personal attention and even arrived unexpectedly to pick me up from the bus staion on a rainy night!! And the breakfast? Delicious.

Loved the hospitality. In a charmign neighborhood within walking distance of some hot spots in downtown Greensboro. The bed was very comfortable. And the breakfast was very filling and very good. Much more value for my money than a hotel.

My husband and I wanted a comfortable place to spend a night to celebrate our anniversary. We definitely found the right place at the Haynes Bed and Breakfast. Wonderful hospitality and accomodations.

The location was great, walking distance to many shops and restraunts. Service was outstanding and the couple who run the house are awesome! We will definetly be back next time we are in town. Highly recommended.

Convenient and delightful. Loved sitting out on the balcony to read in the fading evening light. Delicious breakfasts served on real china, made me feel like a very special guest. Now I have to come up with a reason to return to Greensboro so I can stay again!

Our stay at the Haynes was a great retreat after the long days at the conference. It was great sitting out on the porch evenings to unwind. Our home away from home made our friends that stayed at the hotels jealous. The breakfasts, accomodations and hospitality were awesome.. and thanks for the yummy breakfast smoothies too! Directions home were great, thanks. . saved us 2hrs. Definite return visit next trip to Greensboro.

The picture does not do this B&B justice! This is such a beautiful home in a great location. There is a 10 minute drive to the Koury Center as well as a 10 minute WALK to downtown Greensboro. I was there for a conference and did not want to stay in a hotel. Besides being a less expensive alternative, I drank coffee from a silver service and snuggled right down in a beautiful quiet room with my own private bath and porch. The Haynes were more than generous hosts. I felt more safe staying here than any hotel with strangers passing my doors at all hours! I most definitely recommend the Haynes B&B anytime - except for the 3rd week in July of 2010, because that is when I will be there again!
