Inspired by Appalachian traditions rich in folk art and hand-craft, the Artisan Suite is beauty drawn from nature. It is our favorite and most impeccably detailed suite. Custom furniture hand-crafted by local artisans, wood mosaic walls of reclaimed farm timber, a red-glazed gas fired stove, a stone tiled Jacuzzi surround. The Artisan Suite is a secluded treetop getaway separate from the main inn. Perched on a second story it commands views of the meditation garden and the canopy of soaring native oaks, pines and poplars.

Shadow puppets perform their dance to the candle light of your evening soak. The Buddha watches over you as you repose, gazing at the grass cloth mondrian on the Bali’s ceiling. The Silk Route Suite owes its richness and elegance to its namesake, the ancient Silk Road, the trade routes which served to spread exotic goods, wealth and culture throughout the East, Middle East and Africa. Hued in a palette of gold, silk and glass, this suite speaks to another era. Beaded silk adorns the four poster canopy bed. The hand carved art and hand-stenciled surfaces imbue the suite with layer upon layer of detail. A forest of trees filters the light through your windows. A nod to Les Puces de Saint-Ouen, the most famous flea market in Paris, our Paris Suite combines antique chic and unique with savoir faire. Appointed with elegant upholsteries, antique pieces, and hand painted walls & ceiling murals, the suite is bold, eclectic, and whimsical. It captures the storied charm of its namesake city, Paris, one the world’s most beloved places. The Paris Suite is separate from the main inn, has its own entrance, and a breakfast terrace with views of the surrounding woodland.
