    An experience not to miss....

    With my job in health care sales I try to stay in Bed and Breakfast when ever possible vs. hotels every week. Recently while in the Biloxi/Gulf Coast area I did just that and stayed at Chateau Blessy and it was an EXCELLENT choice. The owners, Walter and Katherine, made me feel like I was at home and apart of their family. Chateau Blessey like most properties on the Gulf Coast received damage from Katrina, however was one of the only that survived. The history the owners shared was wonderful as well as the overall hospitality. If you visit the Biloxi/Gulport, MS area, either for business or pleasure, and do not stay at Chateau Blessy you are missing a wonderful experience. I will look forward to returning and enjoying the great experience again!!!

    A Must for coastal vacations

    We cannot say enough about the hospitality and owners. If you are on the Mississippi Gulf Coast you have to try this bed and breakfast.

    "Hospitality" Is Their Middle Name

    When we travel, we prefer bed and breakfast accommodations over all others. Chateau Blessey, an elegant name, is an elegant accommodation, but one that is comfortable, relaxing and oh so hospitable. Katherine and Walter have created a comfortable place for those who enjoy looking at the beach and for those who want to walk over to the beach and enjoy the sand, sun and mild surf. Walter, a ruggedly handsome Willie Nelson look-alike, and his beautiful and warm wife, Katherine, make you feel like family. They will assure that your stay exceeds your expectations, whether it's calling a special restaurant for accommodations, or checking on the local history tours. While this is among the higher end (both price and accommodations) locations where we have stayed, the breakfast is a bargain. Eat this and you won't need more than a cracker or two before dinner. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. This is the best of "bed and breakfast" and we look forward to returning to enjoy these beautiful people, comfortable bed and gorgeous beach-front setting. I am not a "beach person" but I enjoyed watching the birds, boats, and the colors of the sky and water. Beauvoir, the final home of Jefferson Davis, is just minutes away. We will return!

    After a holiday to France in 2006 the Blessey's adopted the motto, Fide, Fortitudine, Fidelitate which they had seen in a Chateau and decided to undertake the challenge of restoring and preserving their home after Katrina. Walter redesigned the kitchen and added a wood burning hearth for fireside gourmet cooking.

Go south on Hwy 49 to intersection of Highway 90 go east approximately 12 miles. Chateau Blessey is approximately 100 yards east of the Historic Biloxi Lighthouse. You must go one block east of Lighthouse and take next turning lane west to enter the driveway to 1012 Beach Boulevard, you will see a palm tree in front of a raised rose garden. (Located between the Beau Rivage Casino and the Biloxi Lighthouse.)
