Brick Inn Bed and Breakfast

I rented out the whole B&B for my wedding. I had my bridesmaids, the mothers and my father stay there the night before. Everyone thought the place was great and my bridesmaids spent most of the night on the swings out back, which they loved. The night of my wedding, my husband and I, our parents and his aunt and uncle stayed here. Again everyone thought the place was great and the breakfast was delicious. If you're looking for a place to stay around Washington, MO I would recommend staying here. The place is beautiful and Art (the owner) was very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Suite was nice, comfortable and furnished with very nice linens. the adjoining bathroom was tiny but had all the necessities, including very nice bath products. The whole property is charming, with very comfortable outdoor areas - patio, hot tub, fire pit, hammock, swings in a lovely back yard. Unlike many B&B's, there was no interior gathering area and the kitchen was off limits. Very friendly and accommodating innkeepers. Coffee was available early at 6:30 (your standard grocery store product but plenty of it), and breakfast served at the time we requested. Gracious service. The location is close enough to the river and downtown areas to provide a nice walking area; but surrounded by private residences so it was nice and quiet in the evening. I would return and would recommend, especially for nice weather visits when the outdoor space can be fully utilized.

Lovely antiques. Nice size rooms. Delicious breakfast. Wish the kitchen was open in the evenings so we could have had tea or coffee.

My husband and I had a wonderful visit to the Brick Inn B&B. We will definitely be recommending it to our friends and family.

Staying at the Brick inn was a wonderful experience! Art and Kathy are two wonderful people that make you feel like you are part of their family! We will be returning to the Brick inn in the near future!!!

We just had a 3 generation weekend Family gathering - The location is near the old downtown and the MO river and we walked the area. We had the entire place to ourselves, and played games, partied, went out to a bar food place and came back to the hot tub. Great fun in a great place. Art and Kathy were great to us - we will be back indivdiually and as a Family Gathering. Just perfect time-

Kathy & Art are wonderful innkeepers, very warm and gracious. The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast - to die for. If you're in the area, definitely check out Brick Inn. We enjoyed it tremendously!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Brick Inn last week. Art and Kathy are wonderful hosts, the accommodations are lovely, and breakfast can't be topped! It was like a time warp -- so relaxing. Thank you for making our stay very special for the Holiday Season. We hope to see you again next year.

The accommodations here are very nice, and breakfast was one of the best we've had anywhere. Art enjoys interacting with guests, including a drive around the small downtown. Our bathroom, though small, was modern and immaculate. Very comfortable bed/bedding. If going to/from St. Louis be sure to take Hwy 94 which is a LOVELY drive and has many wineries. We did not allow enough time for this and wish we had.

My husband and I wanted to spend a weekend away from work and children. We love visiting wineries and there are a ton of them in the area. Art and Kathy were excellent hosts. The drive around town in Art's Lincoln Continental allowed us to get orientated with the town. He offered a lot of suggestions for places to go and even provided a "coupon" for a dinner discount. The breakfast was excellent and Art's picture boards facilitated conversation. Very nice get-away.

Art and Kathy were top notch and made us feel very welcome. The home showed great and room was just as promised and very clean. Art was always there with a great story to share and a few surprises that I won't spoil for you here. They served a wonderful breakfast and they had useful suggestions for places to visit.

The Brick Inn is a comfortable place to stay. The breakfast was great, and the innkeepers are extremely helpful at advising quests about activities nearby.

Our room was comfortable. There were way too many extension cords everywhere and wonder if the house is safe. The innkeeper was nice, but I did not wish to view pictures of his vacations, wedding, etc. and have him blow us bubbles after breakfast.

The location is great, the house is very clean, and the hosts are friendly.

Art and Kathy went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. I couldn't say enough good things about my stay. They really tailored our visit to meet our unique needs. They were so friendly and approachable. Art's collection of antique cars is worth the stay alone. And the hot tub, oh my! Kathy's cooking is a mix simple ideas, with an elegant twist. What I mean is, she is able to take the most basic of breakfast foods and serve a recipe that you would not expect--delicious and healthy. Also, she is more than willing to honor any specific food requests. The Inn itself is beautiful and quaint. Access to the downtown area is only a block away. I will definitely be staying there again!

My wife and I highly enjoyed our stay at the Brick Inn in Washington MO. It started with a pickup at the Dutzow trailhead and a ride/tour into Washington in a convertible Cadillac! Owners Art & Kathy are inviting and accommodating to your every need. The location provided access to Washington's downtown area which is full of shops & restaurants. And when the weather turned nasty on Sunday, Art & Kathy drove us a little further down the trail to help us out. All in all, a great & highly recommended experience. all, highly recommended.

Art and Kathy are wonderful hosts! We stayed in the suite. They brought in a seperate bed for our 14 year old daughter. The beds were all excellent! As good as home. I loved the house. It is in a quiet neighborhood just a couple of blocks off of the square. Washington is such a neat nostalgic town. The swings in the back yard and the hammock were great. Breakfast was delicious. I've stayed in a lot of B&B's, and this is definately at the top of my list. We stayed one night. I only wish we could have stayed more. I can't wait to come back. Thanks for such a great get-a-way!

Being Innkeepers ourselves, we have a high standard for what a B&B should be, and how we expect to be treated as guests. Art and Kathy Winters hit all the marks. From the personal tour of Washington, in a classic convertible to the special attention my wife received at breakfast because of her fool allergy. My husband and I had our first Bed and Breakfast experience at the Brick Inn. We weren't sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. We felt very at home and relaxed. We were greeted by Art Winters right when we pulled up and were given a tour of the Inn and then of the town in a convertible - fun! The little extras such as the hammock, hot tub, bubbles Art blew at breakfast and swings in the back yard were a nice touch. We would very much recommend visiting Art and Kathy Winters at their Brick Inn Bed and Breakfast.

Clean, comfortable room, wonderful hospitality and a delicious, satisfying breakfast. Highly recommended.

I've stayed in many B&Bs in my life but this one takes the cake. Art and Kathy Winters are so knowlegeable about the area, its history, and local lore. I recommend the suite if it is available~ it is exactly as lovely as the photos on the website depict it, with plenty of room to lounge around on the leather couches and TVs to show movies available on DVD on site. Art served us wonderful breakfasts, showed us around the hot tub and swings in the very large and old trees out back. When he heard my husband had sprained his ankle this week, he immediately showed us how to use the powered bicycle and helped us adapt our weekend plans. We would definitely stay there again for a winery trip, romantic getaway, or weekend exploring MIssouri's historic places.

What a wonderful get-away from the big city life! The Innkeepers were warm and welcoming and very accommodating. The Brick Inn is beautifully and comfortably decorated with a private bath for each guests room. The breakfast was a gourmet treat and beautifully presented. The location is perfect for a walk to the river or local shops. They have unexpected pleasures like a hot tub and fire pit. I hope to return for another relaxing retreat.

This bed and breakfast is delightful in every way. The rooms are all beautifully decorated, and I love that each room has its own private bath. The breakfasts were wonderfully gourmet, and everything was done in a top notch, yet completely comfortable way. They made us feel like family. The Inn has a hot tub and firepit on their lovely patio, and they have a great location in a quaint town close to the river. Would recommend it in a heartbeat!
