    L'Inn @ di OPHELIA... Idealmente situato sopra ristorante dell'Ofelia. Un boutique hotel, sette camere e una suite, ognuna decorata con un aire di sofisticazione. Un rifugio tranquillo, che domina un pezzo di storia del Missouri. Perfetto per i viaggiatori di affari o di piacere. Guarda la sonnolenta Piazza venire alla vita come i proprietari di negozio e ristoranti swing in azione per un altro giorno, proprio come hanno fatto per oltre 175 anni.     Beautiful Room & Location; not a traditional B&B

    Breakfast is not their priority. It's really a set of lovely rooms, but you go to their restaurant for a breakfast, which is OK, but not special.

    Pleasant, Kind of a Let-Down

    The room was nice, and generally what we expected. We definitely felt like the minimal interaction we had with staff didn't seem as warm as a typical B&B; the manager seemed more involved with the restaurant side of the business than the inn. At no time did we feel like there was great service, but it's also not like there was anything significant lacking. We just felt like we were on our own, not being taken care of by a B&B atmosphere.

    Most B and B's are situated in a large house away from town,butOphelia's is right on the square. With great service, rooms, and dining all right there, it was a great experience, especially when the temperatures outside reached 105 degrees!

    I stayed here while in Independence on business. The staff was extremely accommodating to my needs. The rooms were well decorated and very clean. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. I would definitely recommend for business or leisure travelers.

    First bed and breakfast trip was a pleasant surprise

    This is a very great place! It was our first official bed and breakfast visit, and, if we have more experiences like this, we will definitely continue! The room was great, the restaurant was exceptional, and the service was extremely friendly. We WILL be returning!

    Wild Kansas Night!

    I was staying in Independence at Ophelia's in room 111. The day had already had some wild weather and I had spent 30 minutes in the Clay Co. basement for a tornado that passed north of Liberty. I drove through driving rain to get there and checked in around 4:00 P.M. The staff was helpful and efficient. The young lady showed me to my room, explained how to get in and out of the building and where everything was located at the Inn and in my room. The manager set up my breakfast time for the following morning. I left the Inn to head to the Royals -VS- White Sox game and was caught in another wicked lightning storm at the ball park which resorted in the game being called until the following day. On my way back, power was out all over K.C. It was pitch black out and no police anywhere to direct traffic at intersections. It was a scary and nerve-racking experience for someone not familiar with K.C. What a sight it was to get back to the Inn and see the warm glow of electricity coming from the building. I got back up to my room and was greeted by the manager again, who was friendly and kind. My room was so inviting and cozy after a wild day. The bed was soft and warm and the view of the courthouse and square was so pretty at night in the rain. Breakfast was made to order and was just the right amount of food. The gentleman who made my breakfast was courteous and prompt and I had hot eggs and toast before me in no time. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I would certainly stay here again, only next time, hopefully there won't be any more tornadoes!

    My husband and I go to Independence at least once a year to visit his mother. This was the first (but not the last) time we will stay at Ophelia's. It was a wonderful experience. The room we were in was nicely appointed, roomy enough, very clean, as was the bath. The breakfast is served in the restuarant and was fantastic each morning. Diana Jennings, McDonough, GA.

    A Great and Exiting Time in Independence

    We usually do not stay in a bed and breakfast when we travel. When we arrived on July 1 and checked in the manager of Ophelia's Restaurant was more than gracious. The breakfast the next morning was awesome and the waiter was very friendly. We will back Ophelia's Restaurant Bed and Breakfast, I wanted to stay longer. Thank you for a great time love your city!
