This is the place to stay in Lanesboro. Very clean and the historic building is what makes this place enjoyable. The "Breakfast Dude" will take care of you.

My husband and I stayed at the Stone Mill Hotel and Suites for a couple of nights and wished it had been for many more. From the moment we checked in with a young man who showed us all around the inn telling us about the history of the feed mill, to the "breakfast dude" to the wonderful owner Rick, we couldn't have been treated any nicer. Everyone was so healpful, such as...I asked the man who works in the breakfast area who is really called "the breakfast dude" where I could find some really nice Amish made baskets like the ones in the gift shop, I needed a blanket chest and I thought I would ask if he knew of anywhere else I could find some more, and he gave my husband and I exact directions to an Amish family that were friends of his. We drove straight there and that Amish family had nothing but good things to say about Rick and Cheryl at the Stone Mill. The people are nice, the gift shop was wonderful with handcrafted pieces of art from artisans all over the area, and the rooms and suites were wonderful. Our room was the garden suite and it was everything that the name sounds like. The room was huge with a living area, lovely fireplace and bedroom loft. Very comfortable bed and everything was so clean. The breakfast was so good. The local pastry shop supply's them with their pastries and they are phenomenal along with the other fresh fruits and other breakfast items. Needless to say I can't say enough good things about the Stone Mill Hotel and Suites. We had a wonderful time there and we can't wait to go again.

We just found our go-to place to stay in Minnesota! This historic inn is fantastic! You are relaxed just walking through the front door. It is inviting, comfortable and cozy. The bed was comfortable, the room quiet and warm, and visiting with the innkeeper was like visiting with a family friend. Truly, there is no reason to look any further. Yes, we will be back whenever we are in the area!

I have been wanting to stay at the Stone Mill ever since I drove by it one summer day. I can say that our visit did not disappoint. This is such a neat place. We stayed in the off season so we didn't have a lot of dining or entertainment options, but we had fun playing games in our room. Rick, the owner, was staffing the front desk. He was very friendly and accommodating. We look forward to coming back to the neat little town of Lanesboro again in the peak season, and we will be reserving a room at the Stone Mill.

We have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. Each room is different, charming, and well equipped. The staff is fantastic and makes sure you are comfortable after personally showing you your room and explaining how everything works. Breakfast has always included wonderful pastries from the bakery down the street as well as many basic breakfast items. There is a very friendly and helpful breakfast host who is available to answer any questions about the area's activities.
