Steller House B&B

I have stayed at Steller House B&B a few times, and every time is a winner. The rooms are clean and cozy and the breakfasts are AMAZING. When I travel to the Ann Arbor area, there's simply nowhere else I would rather stay!

I was in Ann Arbor to attend a Michigan graduation. I could not believe the degree of hospitality I received from the lovely Hillary, the inn keeper. The food and the entertainment were much more than I could have expected. I will always stay the Stellar house when I am in or near Ann Arbor.

We loved every aspect of our stay! The experience goes WAY beyond the very nice and comfortable room. The innkeeper, Hillary, is exceptionally friendly and accommodating of schedules, eating preferences and questions of all types. And the best thing is the home cooking; wow, you never had breakfast like this before. This is our new home in Ann Arbor.

Stellar House is a beautiful country alternative to the usual downtown Ann Arbor lodging. The room was clean and comfortable, hosts accommodating, and it was a quick drive into downtown Ann Arbor. And great scones!

We so enjoyed our stay at Steller House and meeting and talking with Hillary, our innkeeper. The location is just outside the city with easy driving access. The breakfasts were outstanding and served in a pleasant dining room with lots of light and beautiful china. We would love to visit Steller House B&B again.

Our group of 4 had the floor to ourselves and enjoyed every minute! This is like a home away from home; it is spacious and inviting. Hillary exhibited gracious warmth, always respecting our privacy. Alice was a delightful extra!! Breakfast was delightful and the wonderful service was a treat that I haven't experienced in years! Such comfort! Highest kudos to these innkeepers; I would recommend this B&B to my best friends!

My Ohio in-laws joined their son and me to visit my family in Ann Arbor. I wanted something homey, but close to my mom's house. Stellar House was PERFECT. We had a delightful time, everyone was comfortable and happy. It's a GREAT experience. Hillary was an astounding hostess and her cooking is amazing. Alice the dog is a wonderful creature. Very cozy being in an old country house (former local meeting hall) in very cold outside temperatures and snow. My husband and I have traveled extensively and prefer B&B/boutique hotels. Steller House would hold their own with any of them.

This is the perfect B&B tucked into the countryside of Ann Arbor. The innkeepers make you feel really at home, without making you feel you are in their home (nice division of church and state). This is not a frilly inn. Rather, all the appointments feel measured and balanced. I see this as a destination inn. I'd be fine with it even without the breakfast, which absolutely rocked.

My fiance and I stayed at the stellar house on graduation weekend this past spring. everything was wonderful. from the food to the very tastefully decorated rooms. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone staying in the Ann Arbor area.

Coming to the Steller House was a lot like coming home. We were warmly greeted, given a large bedroom complete with gourmet soaps and fluffy bathrobes and attended to with care and attention to detail. The breakfast Hillary prepared was delicious. She overly accommodated our gluten-free needs. We'll be back!

Our stay at Steller House was wonderful. Hilary is such a kind and considerate hostess. Her home is beautiful and tucked away in the country--not far at all from the city. Close enough to the city to hop over for dinner, but far enough away to feel like you really "got away" from the business. Our favorite part was the breakfast. Hilary really went above and beyond our expectations--it was delicious! Afterwards, my husband and I went for a walk down the snowy country roads nearby--very romantic and sweet getaway for us.

I've never stayed at a bed and breakfast before - the rest of them have a lot to live up to now. Hillary is an engaging, funny, well-informed hostess who also just happens to be a truly fantastic cook. The rooms, the ambience, her recommendations of things to do in Ann Arbor - these things are all great - but it really is her food that will stay with you. Homemade, local ingredients, carefully considered for your tastes, presented on beautiful dishes and superb-tasting. . .it's nothing short of perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

This place is awesome...my husband and I came to Ann Arbor as a getaway and when I saw this place online I knew it was the place to stay! It's very cozy and homey, yet elegant...beautiful rooms...the bed was so comfy. Hillary, the hostess, was absolutely great (she is truly in her element), and the food was fantastic...stay here and you will NOT be dissappointed!

I wanted to plan a getaway for my boyfriend and myself but not spend a lot of money. We decided to have a "stay-cation" and checked out places around Ann Arbor, we live in Ypsilanti. I chose the Steller House based on the reviews and the pictures. Not ever having stayed in a Bed and Breakfast, neither of us knew what to expect and were blown away by the hospitality, decore, and the food! Hillary was so accomodating, friendly, and a great cook. We were treated to a spread of homemade delights each morning. She made quiche, granola bars, bacon, and pancakes. Along with huge bowls of fresh berries and a variety of teas and juices. The room was spacious, clean, well decorated, and we got to build a puzzle next to a real fire burning. It was relaxing and cozy. We were able to explore Ann Arbor and see sites we never have time to because we are always working. We had a great time and look forward to going there again for the next time we need a little break from our routine.

Starting January 9, 2009, I stayed for eleven nights at the Steller House B&B and enthusiastically recommend the establishment. The rooms are spacious and tastefully appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. The suburban location is wonderfully quiet and provides a convenient location for driving throughout southeastern Michigan. Yet perhaps the most salient attribute of my stay was breakfast, which consisted of a sumptuous feast every morning. Owner Hillary Steller is a marvelous cook. Her bill of fare ranged from vegetable quiche to banana-walnut pancakes to a fruit-oatmeal-nut medley and beyond. Everything was fresh, homemade, and appetizing. Indeed, breakfast was the highlight of every day of my stay in Ann Arbor. I recommend the Steller House B&B without hesitation.

This tops any B&B we have stayed at! The reasonable rates and attractive, serene look to it attracted us to Steller House when we found it online, but we got so much more: Hillary was very friendly and helpful while respectful of our privacy, the location is rustic and quiet yet just a short drive to downtown Ann Arbor and U of M where our daughter is a student, the outstanding food was made in consideration of our specific tastes and requests, the Lunar Room was large and tranquil-looking, memory-foam bed very comfy, big closet to store things out of the way, interesting games and decor throughout, fire lit for us each morning in the comfy sitting room. We immediately felt at home here. We will return, and will recommend this to others!

We had an amazing time at the Stellar House. It was super clean, and quiet. The Stellars went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nice and enjoyable. The room was great and the bed was VERY comfortable, had a great sleep. Breakfast in the morning was perfect, hot and delicious. They were very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. We had a great time, and would definitely stay there again. We suggest that if you are in the Ann Arbor area, look them up! Thank you!

Hillary and Terry were very welcoming and accommodating. They were very helpful with finding us places to eat and run in the area. We would stay at the Steller House again.
